Thanks for the news, Mauke. Maura will be Barbara Three Hotels June 29 – July 24 by Jon Robin Baitz directed by Robert Falls Ken Hoyle is an ambitious hatchet man for a multinational company that sells defective baby formula in developing African countries. His wife Barbara advises other young executive wives on life in the third world. Their days as idealistic Peace Corps volunteers are far behind them - physically and metaphorically - and the succession of moral compromises has taken its toll. Jon Robin Baitz weaves a timely tale of corporate misdeeds, personal tragedy, and marital discord that takes us into the private thoughts of a man and a woman searching for answers and aching for redemption.wtfestival.org/2011/hotels

Wow, looks like Maura really is into plays lately.
Good news for our American friends. We might set a new record this year for the number of TDWD members getting to meet Maura ;D
I told hubby Maura's doing another play this summer. His reaction: Loud sarcastic smile .... "dream on, dream on ... " ;D

Mom's reaction was..she didn't say anything. And that says it all ;D But I know that it's unrealistic and absolutely stupid and crazy to go to America in the summer. I can't do that. I'm still in my rosy, heartshaped Dublin-cloud anyways plus I don't have money nor i have time in the holidays To all american fans: GO TO THAT F****** PLAY!! GO SEE MAURA!!! ;D

I want to go so badly! But.....sadly I don't think it's going to work out for me this time around. My daughter is due at the beginning of July and I really want to be around when she has her daughter. After all, you're only a first time grandma once! Maybe if she's on time, I can get to the end of the run. Come on baby, be nice to your grandma and momma, be on time!

Their days as idealistic Peace Corps volunteers are far behind them - physically and metaphorically Heyyyy, what's THAT supposed to mean ^.^ Well, at least it will be exciting to see our wonderful energetic chirpy & youthful Maura playing that! I'm sooo happy that there is NEWS finally ^0^ And I'm so happy that she plays more theatre, she did an awesome job on God of Carnage and it will be a pleasure to see her on stage for everyone who has the chance to do so ^.^ I won't be able to see it neither, but I think if she really likes theatre that much and goes on rocking the stage, I will fly to America next year or so ^^ TV stuff is of course very nice because it is easily available for everyone, but being able to watch her perform and to meet her afterwards is absolutely priceless, so I will be happy for everyone whoever will get there ^0^

I have ordered a copy of the play. From what I have read, its 80 minutes long and comprised of three acts and three seperate monologues...two for him and one for her. Tickets are $54. Plus gas for an 11 hour drive. Plus hotel. As much as I would enjoy seeing her on stage again, I have to wonder if its really worth the money for a trip this time.

I would go if i lived in the USA. 11 hours is a lot, clearly. But Maura is always worth it. Remember we even flew to Dublin from all over Europe and God Of Carnage was a rather short play, but it was just awesome. I wouldn't miss that chance but i know i takes a lot of money..So i understand you, in a way. And i probably don't think about it enough, i'm 16 ;D I hear the words "maura, theatre, meeting" and i'm absolutely focused on planning my trip

If it was an 11-hour-drive and not 11-hour-flight I would do that! ^^ God of Carnage was great because she was on stage almost all the 90 minutes and the price was about the same (if I calculated right)... I don't know whether about 30 minutes of her on stage and one minute of her signing a pic after the play would be 'worth the effort', but whenever I think about seeing Maura even if it's for a minute, I feel that thrill again... I know if there would be the tiniest possibility, I would most probably already start planning the trip, just as Rike said ^.^

mmm, I would doubt to if Maura is only on stage for 30 minutes. I've never been to a theatre festival before, so I don't know what it's like but I've been wondering if the chance of meeting her afterwards is as big as in a small theatre
