Well it won't be Red Buttons who came on a few times as Ruby Redux as the actor since passed away... So let me think of someone worthy to have a memorable guess spot... Is it really too much trouble just to have back for the final episode? oh i couldnt agree more those are the only two i care about of course abby is no. 1 for me. i hope she at least consideres returning for the finale

It is sad that ER will be laid to rest on 12th March 2009 NBC announces the end of ER
The long-running medical drama "ER" will come to an end on March 12, NBC announced today.
One of TV's most honored shows, "ER" has won 22 Emmys and has the most Emmy nominations of any other show on television. It will say goodbye with a two-hour episode. Source: latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2008/12/nbc-announces-t.html

Yeah...well I am hoping for James Garner as the one that ties it all in....or maybe Ed Asner. They could revisit his character and find out he donated the money he got from Carter and that Carter wasn't wrong to trust him after all. That was a huge blow to Carter's already shaky trust issues.

Okay, I am big George fan. I have heard some pretty reliable source say that George and JUlianna will be back for at one episode. It's supposed to air at the end of February. The source was Imdb.com in the news section for today. If it is true I am absolutely jumping up and down for joy. They were the first ER couple next to Luka and Abby. Long live ER and I will miss it dearly. Tiffany

Interesting... SUSAN SARANDON - SARANDON TEAMS UP WITH CLOONEY FOR ER FINALE
SUSAN SARANDON is reportedly slipping into her scrubs to star alongside GEORGE CLOONEY when he returns to medical drama ER for the show's final series. Clooney starred as Dr. Doug Ross from 1994 to 1999 in the long-running series before leaving to pursue his movie career.
To celebrate the show which catapulted him into the A-List, the actor agreed to return to the role for the final few episodes before the series comes to an end after 15 seasons.
And he isn't the only Hollywood bigshot who will walk the wards - Sarandon is believed to have filmed scenes alongside the actor last week (begs19Jan09), according to E! Online.
It isn't the first time Sarandon has made a guest appearance on a hit U.S. TV show - she has starred in Friends, Malcolm In The Middle, Rescue Me and The Simpsons.

I hope this wasn't posted before but if you follow this link www.yidio.com/search.php?searchBox=ER&searchButton.x=0&searchButton.y=0&searchButton=go you can watch 3 interesting clips about old castmembers (George Clooney and Noah Wyle) returning to ER. Well I can't watch the Hulu-clip coz I don't live in the States The clip from the NBC site is cool though: Eriq Lasalle looks old B.t.w. if you type 'Maura Tierney' in the search box you will find a lot more interesting clips (including complete episodes and movies)
