Very nice......and can you save something from TiVo to dvd?? I have been told no....but maybe there is a way. Oh...hubby got me a personal DVD player for Valentine's Day. You can, but you need a special attatchment that I can neither afford nor understand how to use. Thus, no.

This was a little blurb in today's USAtoday about Semi-Pro:
The film's Maura Tierney broke news that ER is going back into production March 3 for six more episodes and has been given a pickup for a 15th season. Tierney, however, is on the fence about returning.
I'm not sure how I feel about the last line. I assume she wouldn't have said anything definite regarding her return. But I don't know whether there's enough good story left for her. I think it would have to be a really good arc for her to go for another season. I think they can probably tie up the Luka/Abby story in 6 episodes.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't want her to return unless it's with GV in tow - not because I don't want to see her or because I don't think she's the most phenomenal actress to grace the small screen since Sally Field's days as the flying nun, but because there's only so much they can do to her character without bringing her career down. Lost will be on Thursdays at 10pm in the fall, and at this point, ER can't compete with or without MT.
The only way I'd be comfortable seeing her back next season is if John Wells finally gives in and lets me and Larue write the show. At least then we'd know there would be no more Abby-torturing (or at least minimal...)
Larue, any thoughts? I'm thinking an arc involving a Russian adoption. That way Luka can be over in the frozen tundra adopting an adorable child while Abby toils away at County.

Appropo to what viewers want to see and mention of fan fiction ... I just saw this comment made by one of the reviewers of TV Guide about another couple who've appeared together.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Fan fiction works.
Perhaps more people read fan fic than we realize ... I know this surprised me!

Heh. Well given that the end of "Harry Potter" seemed to have been ripped directly from the mouth of an untalented pre-teen fanfiction writer, I make no argument about it being a well-known media.

I don't know; if fanfiction worked we'd be up to our ears in carbabies right now and Ray would be a couple of limbs better off.
Unless it's only bad fanfiction that works (see Potter, H, above). Although we'd still be up to our ears in carbabies.
Please Maura, don't sign for S15 unless it's a 10 episode effort to wind things up and Goran can be persuaded to be there too. I don't want a season of Sam and Gates (The Taggates?).

Maybe it should be a Croatian adoption since a Russian one can really be done rather quickly??? But I am SO with you on MT coming back. I would have to say though that if she DOES sign for a 15th season it will have to be something pretty spectacular for her. IF they are able to convince HER...then it would be a sure bet to be a good story arc. I am just not convinced that ER can hold up for a 15th.....no matter what the competition is. There is currently NO one with an interesting enough story or relationship to hold it together....other than Abby and Luka that is. Even with the medicine you would have to have a fearless leader....ala Mark Greene. I thought Abby would be it but they shot that theory full of holes. Dang Tucci......

Oh...you know me and my international adoption obsession SO well. Maybe it should be a Croatian adoption since a Russian one can really be done rather quickly??? No, Croatia actually has a really unfavorable ratio when it comes to adoption - more parents seeking adoption than there are children to go around. And they have some preference guidelines that won't hold up well for the family Kovac - they prefer native Croatian adoptions over out-of-country adoptions and prefer prospective parents under the age of 35. Also, the Russian storyline would be convenient because of the high incidence of "by the way, the baby you've chosen has a sibling...would you be interested in a twofer?"and could thus trap Luka awhile longer while he sorts through all that. I haven't thought about this or considered the storyline whatsoever, as you can see.

Ah....of course! Send him to Tuva. WAY sweet cuties in that Siberian region. And we had hardly any outside contact while we were there because of the mountains. Fits the need for absence perfectly. LOL

LOL And in the season finale he shows up at Casa Kovac with ten little Russian orphans in tow...asking Abby if she's sure eleven will be enough.

LOL...too funny. Adopting is addictive so it will fit right in with her characterization. LOL
Found this.....a new film announcement:

MechaneckDanny Glover Earlman Leslie Bibb Amy Intrator Maura Tierney Sister Alice Reunion much? Not only is Glover Pratt's father, but plays Sally Field's current love interest in "Brothers and Sisters." And Harkins is back...joy. I've not yet seen Leslie Bibb in a role that doesn't interfere with the love life of television characters I like (see "Crossing Jordan"). I can only assume if Maura is playing a nun, that it's a comedy.
