Gads...I am SO glad that I am not a celebrity. I thought being a teacher and running into parents and kids from school everywhere was bad. Imagine living the kind of life where someone is waiting for a photo op and them pasting it everywhere???

Okay...so the end of the school year procedures, soccer tryouts and a long planned trip to Florida to see my parents are all factors in keeping me away from the New York 'off Broadway' play. Grrr......but I have been following the preps. Maura was the second cast member announced for this. Since they added Fran Drescher, HER name has appeared ABOVE Eric MacCormack's. I liked it better when he was the headliner and the four female stars were listed below his in alphabetical order. It makes me nuts and not exactly a Fran fan.... Ticket sales must be going very well however because they have added performances.

Zelda, 'Some Girl(s)' is a 'caustic drama' about a man who goes to visit four of his ex girl friends just before his marriage to a fifth one. He discovers how their relationships with him have impacted their lives. Maura plays an LA based doctor named 'Bobbi'. Sounds like a real stretch, eh? LOL I know she loves New York so this could be the next best thing to a paid vacation!

I would probably keep my eyes open for the New York - especially NBC - based talk shows around the time the play is set to open. Gads....wouldn't it be a riot if Saturday Night Live had her as a guest host??? I could think of TONS of sketches based on the whole ER thing! Maybe we ought to start a letter writing campaign suggesting that. I wonder if she would be interested in doing that???

The MCC Theater website will probably have pictures up after the production opens - usually sites like wireimage.com and gettypictures will have theater pics as well. Since I'm going to see it (front row - yay!), maybe I can sneak a pic from my camera phone ...
