I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X and it´s really good. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 but i think 2.0 (or V5) is better.

Help's HERE! those stripes are called 'Scanlines' and they are very easy to do: 1. First, make a new file(file >> new... or Ctrl+N). And use a 2x2 pixels resolution: 2. Select the Zoom Tool(Z), click on the tiny withe square with the right buttom of the mouse and "FIT ON SCREEN". 3. Select the Magic Eraser Tool and click on the tiny withe square. Now we have a tiny 'transparent' square!! xD 4. Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool(M) and select just half of the tiny little cute transparent square (xD) like this: Now with the Paint Bucket Tool(G) fill the selection with black. 5. Go to Edit >> Define Pattern. Name the pattern "Scanline" for example. Click OK. 6. Open the image you want to have the scanlines 7. Make a new layer on top of the image: Go to Edit >> Fil... Choose the "Scanline" pattern that you made before. Click OK. AND YaaaaaaaaaaaaY! You have scanlines!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now just increase / decrease the opacity, use other Blend Mode (Overlay, Color Burn, etc.) or rotate the laywer. You can even change the color of the scanline going to the Blending Options of the scanline lawyer and if you want bigger scanlines try to make the 'pattern' in a bigger resolution like 4x4! I hope that helps Magda!! Sorry if the tutorial sucks.... Any more questions, I'm here!

u-u...I forgot the tuto 'how to make a blend': There are MANY ways to blend an image, but I often use 'Masks' with the Gradient Tool, like this: 1. Open the pictures you want to blend(here I'm using 2, but you can do that this with as many as you want). 2.Arrange them to your own liking. I did like this: 3. Select the layer at the top and click the Add Layer Mask button on the layers window. 4. Now you have a white square(mask) in the top lawyer. Make sure it's selected. Press D on the keyboard to reset the colors of the colors palette. The foreground color HAS to be black. After that, click on the Gradient Tool. Right click on the working area and choose the gradient 'Foreground to Transparent'. 5. Drag the gradient tool in the edge of the pic, so it will 'disappear' like this: WoooooooHoooooooo!!!!!!! A BLEND!!!! Now, my tip is to use the Eraser Tool(E) with low opacity in the edge you just blended to get it more neat, but make sure you're erasing the PICTURE not the MASK: hey, I did a blend with both techniques(scanlines & blending): That's it! I Hope it isn't too confusing!
