Oh, and it's NC-17!!
Hope you like it!!
Murmurs of the heart
I stand up, trying to control my body, which is shaking. As much as I try, I can’t stop looking at that house, with the lights off. Ame’s house. I wonder what he’s doing to Luka in there, but at the same moment I try to think about any other thing. If I stay wondering what Ames could have done, or is doing with Luka, I will freak out, and Luka needs me to keep sane. So I look at the dozen police cars that are parked in front of the house, not really listening to what the police officer is talking, with his hand on my shoulder, trying to confort me. Flashbacks of the previous moments just pumped on my head.
“Call your husband.”
“I... I just did, he’s not picking up.”
“Try it again.”
And I did. I tried a thousand times, until suddenly the door was open and he was inside. He first looked at me and immediatly realized something was wrong. Then he saw him. He tried to talk to him, but Ames showed his gun, and he said he wanted us to go with him. Luka begged him to leave me and Joe.
“Mr. Ames, I love my wife and my child the same way you love your wife... and your children. Please, I’ll do whatever you want, but let them stay here.”
He thought for a moment and then said it was ok. When they were leaving, I screamed, I couldn’t help it.
“Luka!”
“Shhh, it’s ok, Abby.” He said, caressing my hair. “Joe needs you to stay here with him, ok? I love you, you know that, right?”
“Yeah, I love you too.” I said, while he cleaned my tears from my face with his thumb.
“You have no idea how happy you make me to hear it...” Then, Ames rushed Luka, so he kissed Joe on the forehead and kissed my lips. Then they were gone.
After that, I called the police, and when they found Luka’s car parked in front of that house, I left Joe with a neighboor and came here. The Police tried to talk to Ames, but he wouldn’t answer. The minutes became hours, and desperation take my body. So I do the last thing I thought I would. I pray. I don’t really know how to do it.
“Please, let him be ok. Please, I need him, Joe needs him... please... please...”
While I pray, with my head down and my hands together covering my face, I hear it. A shot. “Oh, no... no, no, no...”
“NOO!!!” I scream. Then I ran. I need to see him. I don’t care about anything anymore. I can save him. I know I can. So I ran, and ran, until a police man holds me. “No, let me go!!”
“Please... let me in... Luka...” his name leaves my mouth almost as a whisper. I try to release myself from the police man’s arms, but I can’t. Suddenly, the house’s door is open. All the policemen point their guns in that direction, but they all put them down. So I see him. Luka.
“Luka...” I run to him. And for this time, anyone stops me. He runs too. And when we met, I hug him, he bends me up and hugs me back, so strong as we were trying to challenge a basic physics law. I cry in desperation, telling him I loved him, many and many times, until we finally break the hug, so we can kiss. And we do, for several seconds, until the police man talks to him.
“He’s in there. He killed himself. I try to ressucitate, but he’s gone...” Luka said.
“Can you join me to the police station? We need to talk...”
“Sir, I can go to the police station the first thing in the morning. Now I reaaly wanted to go home with my wife and meet my kid... I miss him.”
“Well, that’s not protocol, but it’s ok. I’ll meet you with the sunrise.”
“You bet.”
We take a ride in a police car, and we take our little baby with the neighboor. Luka picks him up, and hugs him. “Hey little man!! Daddy’s here now. I missed you!” Joe laughs, but he’s tired, so he rests his head on Luka’s shouder.
I just apreciate the scene, my two men together. My familly. And it’s perfect.
When we get home, I put Joe in his crib and sing “should I stay or should I go” for like the millionth time since he was born, and he fast falls asleep. Luka goes to take a shower.
I walk to the bedrrom, and I can hear the shower’s noise. I took off my clothes and put on a nightgown. Then I seat in the bedroom, remembering everything that happened today. Luka’s jealousy about Eddie, Kerry going away, Eddie saying he’s my father, then Ames showing up at home, threatning all of us. I begin to cry again, but this time, I won’t let this take me. I’m home, with Joe and Luka. Alive. Safe. I’m happy, and that’s all that matters.
I stand up as soon I stop hearing the shower, and I go to the bathroom’s door, and wait for a while. When Luka opens the door, he is wearing a pair of boxers and he has a tower in his hands. He’s half wet, hair messed up. He looks at me, and we join in an intense look. I put my arms around his neck and we kiss, passionate as ever before. We walk untill we reach the bed, taking off our few clothes, and we lay in the bed, he on top of me. There’s so much passion that words are not nedded. Not now. We spend some time kissing, hands all over our body, until he takes my hands and clasps with his and put them over our head. He look at me with the same intension as before. We stay like that for a moment, looking at each other’s eyes, until he enters me, slowly. We want to moan, close our eyes and enjoy the sensation, but we both don’t dare to break eye contact. It’s so strong that we could stay like this forever, but our urge to move is strong too. So Luka breaks our eye contact by kissing my forehead, then my eye, then my cheek, the tip of my nose, and finally my mouth. And when we kiss, he starts moving inside of me, first slowlly, then faster and faster, until we climax together, moaning, groaning, almost screaming, our hands still together. Although our bodies knew each other very well, it felt like it was the very first time, with a passion we didn’t even know that existed.
Some time later, we’re laid in bed together, my head resting on his chest, my right leg resting on his and my right hand caressing his chest. There’s a confortable silence, but I decide to break it. I need to break it.
“You know what I did today? While you were with... him?”
“What?”
“I prayed.” Luka looked at me, with a small smile on his face.
“Of couse I had prayed before, but I think it was the first time I really... really meant it, you know... and I think He heard me...” after some more moments of silence, I talk again. It’s like all the words I never say is coming out now.
“People say that we just realize how important something or someone is when we lose it...”
“...before tonight, I knew I loved you... I always did... but tonight I felt that I could die if I had lost you...” I had tears in my eyes again, and I felt Luka’s arms become stronger around me. I raised my head and looked at him, taking a deep breath.
“Luka Kovac, do you want to marry me?”
His eyebrows raised, showing a very surprised Luka. I was surprised too, I let my soul speaks and it just let it all out. I wasn’t regreting though, I really meant all those words. His surprised look changed to a happy look, he had a huge smile on his face, and he laughed. Then he rolled us, so he was on top, his face really close to mine, and he simply repeated the word he said over a year ago.
“I do.”
And he kissed me, with a passion that made me understand.
It was time to second round.
The end.
