I heard somewhere that at the moment the baby's name is currently.
Joseph"Joe" Damien Kovac.
I think that the Damien part is a joke because many people have called the luby baby the anti christ.

Yeah, I'd imagine an Abby/Luka hater came up with the Damien part... although it actually sounds really good together. I love the name Damien myself. Joe is growing on me.

I think Joe is a lovely name, I do agree it does sound a lil wierd, Joe Kovac, but I think I could grow to like it! The more you say it, the better it sounds

ROFL - I love your carby quote. That's exactly what I thought when I heard of the name. Definitely a diet... not a couple. Joe sounds like a name Abby would pick to me. I'm not crazy about it, but it's starting to stick.

Joe has now officially grown on me ,has it happened to anyone else?I can't imagine him being named an anything else now.
The other day as i was just staring into space (as i normally do).The perfect song for Joe came to me,has anyone ever heard of a song called "Wonder child "by Mary black?I've posted the lyrics along with a little fic below
This would be ideal for what Abby is thinking as she looks on at Joe in his incubator.
Abby couldn't help but look on at her perfect yet sickly little Angle as he lay in the incubator with all the tubes and wires sticking out him.Despite this Abby's heart swelled with love as she looked at, him he truly was perfect with his big blue eyes and tiny little feet and hands.
This child he means the world to me, there is no more enchanted A child can take this place of ruin, and magically enhance it.
I see him in a golden room, with the book of life before him Strange instruments upon his charts, and the crystal glow inside him.
He's your wonder child, and my dreams come true You've searched all your life, i see him now flying over the universe.
This child will build a violin, one will follow the traveller's love.
Abby's thoughts were interrupted by a kiss on her cheek. She turned around to see Luka standing beside her looking into the incubator. She looked at him and smiled as she saw him crouched down whispering stuff into Joe's little ear.
Another will the bow apply, to reach the one above.
I see him in a golden room, with the moon and stars above her His simple smile is heaven's gate, with the queen of all beside him.
He's your wonder child, and my dreams come true You've searched all your life, i see him now flying over the universe.
Your wonder child, and my dreams come true You've searched all your life, i see them now flying over the universe.

I stopped caring about the name, gender, and any other particulars ages ago. At this point, I just want him/her/it to survive.

I agree with all of you... I stopped caring about the sex a while ago, and the name Joe is growing on me. Joey Kovac... it has an interesting ring to it. I guess I just want it to live- which I have no doubt it will in the end. If you want to read another perspective, though, one where Joey or "Josip" dies, read "Heartache". It really makes you start to think... about everything- life without the lubylet, relationships, and life itself.

Yeah it read that one too its a very intresting Fic ,one i just hope that never comes back .There is another Fic called "He's my son" which i think is very accurate of how Joe's life is going to be ...which is kind of sad ,but all i care about is if he is going to live.
If Joe does and hopefully (You better let him live TPTB) there is a very strong chance that he will have some learning ,mental or physical difficulities ,i heard somewhere that premature babies are at a hight risk for Autism.
So i wonder if TPTB are going to go the special needs kid route ,like they did with Reece.

I think everyone is getting used to the name Joe. I'm not sure how attached we should become, however, because we don't know if the writers intended that to be the baby's name or it was just a fill-in until they could think of something else. I actually like Joe more for a girl than a boy... spelled "Jo" of course. I kinda still hope they change the name if it's a boy or instead call him Joseph.
It's going to be a lonnngggg summer waiting for some answers. *Sigh*

Awww.. love the sig! I really don't think Joe will die either. I don't see any reason for it. It would just be cruel.

I am a firm believer that TPTB will make sure this arc turns out happily. Ands as for all the wondering about learning/ emotional/physical disabilities faced by the Lubylet.....lucky for us we may not have to see them born out. Our ER world is based on contracts, ratings and $$$. Let's just hope we can see a fat, healthy baby/toddler till the series ends.
