I took down the "admission" process for a single reason: It wasn't working and it turned too complicated.
From now on EVERYONE who reviews, leaves feedbak for a FIC, will be an "Editor."
How?
Comments and reviews made by readers on a fic have the point of letting the writer know if she is actually doing a good work or not. A simple: "great update, update soon" isn't enough to help a writer improve their piece or let her know if she is making any mistakes.
A good reviewer should let the writer know if she is making mistakes like: mispellings, gramatical use, touching subjects that shouldn't be touched, if she's getting out of context (Not for AU/ OOC fics) or not developing the characters right. We all know Luka and Abby aren't just names, they are characters with a special emotional charge that makes them special to us. Help the writers develop this.
Good, substanciable reviews are very important for a writer and that's all I ask for them, if you have one, then write it, if not don't.
Remember that, this time EVERY reader is going to be an "Editor" therefore, any:
- "Great"
- "Cool"
- "More"
- "Update Soon"
- "I want to know more"
-"I love it"... kind of feedbacks will be REMOVED from the fics for respect to the writers.
If you loved an update, say why, explain yourself. If you didn't like it, the same. You can always tell the writer how you feel about an update, about the way she is handling the characters, there are many ways of letting her know if the fic is good or not. Not everything has to be negative, positive must be highlighted too. : )
-BE OBJECTIVE :
Don't say it's awesome just because it's your friend's fic or because you want to make friends.
-BE HONEST : If something is wrong then, say it.
-And of course, be RESPECTFUL.
READERS: now it's your turn to express your opinion in a proper way: Review thoughtfully.
As for writers, I only ask you ONE thing. There's a "Spell Check" button whenever you are about to post: be careful to use it from now on or I'll have to pull down the updates until they are correct.
