I liked tonight's episode. It was ok. Still can't stand Gates, and couldn't really relate to Sam (not surprising!). But I gotta say that I really like Brenner, the guy has grown on me! And I like his interactions with Neela, he seems to really care for her. I think they see to work well together. I think I'm one of those few people who doesn't dream about her and Ray, not totally agaisnt it, he was okay and all but I can live without Shane west coming back to the show (really!!!).
On the promo thing, they totally showed Maura as if she was coming back with the other actors. It will be really sad if it's not true.
And they said Carter is gonna be around for five episodes. Guess they are going to spread it his appearences untill the end of the season. Nice move I guess!

NIcely done episode in my humble opinion. Very 'old school' ER. Understated and very entertaining. I really thought - and wanted - to have Stuart show up in the end. Dang. The Morris parts were the best, I thought. I was looking forward to seeing more. Brenner was good and I. SO. DID. NOT. MISS. BASSETT! I hope they keep her in the background in the coming weeks. I am looking forward to seeing the 'old' EVERYBODY. (SQUEE!!!! Susan is coming back!)
Oh...and has anyone else noticed that Neela has inherited Abby's apartment and wardrobe (case in point: white winter coat and knit scarves from last week), Sam has inherited her hair clips and Gates has inherited her petulant 'duck lips'?? It was nice to see Stamos with something other than a frown this week. And I still love Lou Gossett. Made me wanna drag out the old 'Officer and a Gentleman' video tape. : )

I can't wait for next week. I'm not a Carter fan, but I'm hoping Haleh or someone mentions to him how happy Luka and Abby are or something. Same here, same here I liked the epi..I had to move forward some parts 'cause I had to leave for work this morning, but I am gonna watch it again this evening...I liked Brenner too {nothing new, lol} And that last scene with him and that little girl waiting outside broke my heart

I agree with Laure, it did have a very old school ER feel to it. The patient, doctor relationship was working it magic this week. Possibly, because it was directed by Eric La Salle?? aka Benton. I loved the interaction between Brennar and the little girl (but you just knew his uncle/father wasn't going to come back!!) It reminded me of Abby and Douglas back in season 8. I've always like the doctor/child relationships in ER, they always act them so well. Overall a very good episode. Nothing to complain about this week.....

I would like to start by doing my weekly re-iteration, that I hate gates, his smug pout, ridiculous clothes (if my doctor rocked up wearing a t-shirt, jeans and trainers I would run a mile!), and failed love with Sam. I simply don't care whether they get on ok, what a waste of screen time! Otherwise the episode was good. Brenner was excellent, and that little kid is a star in the making, the end scene was heart-breaking! Morris as a superhero was funny- although could have done without the bondage scene at the end; euck! I wonder where they are going with the Neela job offer. Still havent explained why Dubenko was so arsey last week.
