Christabelle...you are definiitley not in the minority alone here because I loved this episode as well. I think it was a nice way to come back after those oh so unbearably angsty pre-holiday epis. I didn't make me pine for the oldies but I loved hearing about them. I DID make me enjoy the people we have a little more. I enjoyed Gates as well. I can see him with Sam now. I really can. Heh...washing one load EIGHT times??? Cute.
Jeanine was the first character that I became reallly enamored with. I, however, did not like Al. I was sad to see that she and Reggie had split up. But Gloria Reuben was awesome...as I expected she would be. The kid that played Carlos was very, very well cast. Good little actor.
I am intrigued with Jaspreet...and I didn't expect to be. This shall be an interesting arc. Somehow I am expecting her 'arranged marriage husband guy' to show up and be a hunk. Heh. Also Neela's experience among the 'cool kids' in ortho should be fun. Heh
Surprisingly - and mostly to me - I didn't miss Luby. I am still worn out and exhausted from their go around. That doesn't mean that I am not sitting on pins and needles for next week. And it doesn't mean that I could deal with an ER that didn't have Abby for good. Still not interested in being a continuing viewer if Maura leaves the show.
Oh...and could someone please pm me with the dialog from the promo?? What is Abby saying to Pratt???

I couldn't deal with an E.R. without GV - his "spirit" was present this season but this episode convinced me that I'll watch this show 'til the very end. I didn't miss Abby at all, mostly because I'm not quite interested in her storylines as a doctor anymore. For me, her story is hooked to Luka's and I'm waiting to see her only for some sort of resolution.

promo is also posted in previous page so im back now, and this is what i thought about the episode: i thought it was great seeing jeannie back, only cause i wanted to see everyones reaction when they see her, and her reaction when she sees the new ER it was a great episode, i liked neela alot today i felt that abby is gone but it didnt really bother me actually, cause now i noticed the other characters storylines a little bit more, and i think its great that pratt is staying. i loved when frank showed the pictures on the computer and said we are on hell of a family or something like that, it was greaaaaat

Without Maura and Goran, ER really does not hold my interest. The episode was so-so. Pratt and his reaction is ridiculous IMO. Glad that Anspagh reminded Pratt that it was Kovac who was the leader and made all the suggestions. The new chief is a waste of time and Jeanne's return was more hype than anything else, IMO. No big deal, IMO. I love Morris, though I don't think they give him enough to do and I wasn't hating Gates and Sam together, which really surprised me, as I don't really like either one of them.
Here's hoping that we have enough to lead ius to our Luby happy reunion, despite the strike. Some sort of resolution for the cast has to be in the works, however, after last night's epi, I personally don't see any chance for another season - just some resolve.

I have to agree with alot of you this episode was just ok. Nothing that really stuck out. Jeannie hasn't changed much. Too bad Reggie and Jeannie are separated though. Pratt is not ready to be chief. IMO.
Actually I surprised myself I didn't miss Abby. I think I need a break from her. And by the looks of next weeks episode she is no longer drunk Abby. Hallelujah.
And as far as the promo for next week I really wish they wouldn't show the Abby and Moretti scene. I get sick to my stomach every time I am reminded of it. And besides I want to like Abby again and that doesn't help her case in my eyes at all.
