I'd actually like to see Benton (and Reese). He always gets over looked in favor of Doug and Carol who I think everyone wants to see again.
Anspaugh for more than three minutes and as something more than just the hospital's big bad. He used to have a much bigger role on the show and now it seems like they trot him about a couple of times a season just to lecture Luka or Pratt.
Some of the old desk clerks. I'd love it if Randi came back. Last season was fun when Timmy was back for a while. Nurse Lydia...

As long as they don't even mention "the soulmates and their animals crackers " story ever again, TPTB could bring back whoever they want, I'm not picky. I liked everyone. Obviously, except those two. Alex Kingston was great, I'd like to see Ming-Na, not to mention Laura Innes or Sherry Stringfield.

Andrejia - I think we're two of only about 20 people in the history of ER fandom who would be happy to not be subjected to Life With The Smugs ever again! Stay in Seattle!

I finally saw the episode and I'm just sad that my favourite show turns out like this I was ashamed for Neela with this hockey contest... I just want to shoot Harold and Morris, they are so annoying I can almost say that I'm glad there are no new episodes for weeks : better no episode than crappy episode without Luby...

I totally agree on one thing, it's sad to see the show turns like this, it used to be better, and if we have no more Luby till the end of the show, it won't worth watching it... And the audiences are not going to get better anymore...after 14 years, maybe it's time to stop??

That's just too bad . I really loved that show for 14 years .If they don't give us good stories , I won't watch it anymore . I WANT MY LUBBY ENDING !!!!!! What's happening now is the proove that Maura & Goran were holding the show . - MURIEL-

Eh....maybe holding the show for US. THere are folks out there they are ecstatic that Neela and Sam and Pratt had a semi decent story line. Ths show is not dead for them. It will be interesting to see how things are wrapped up. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Abby and Luka will be a good sized part of it.

But I still think that Neela was funny in this epi, and was IMO the only interest of watching it. about our luby family, I still hope that we'll see them one day, but if ER is definitively over, I'll be happy with all the fanfics which are most of the time more talented than TPTB Voilà, voilà...

The roomies thing baffles me; he's off the show! It reminds me of the Carter/Lucy die hards.

Actually, I was very surprised to see on a board, can't remember which, where the posters named their fav. Neela/Ray episode. And when one of them said "Lost in America" I couldn't understand why would that even be considered. It was then the first time I realized that people weren't watching the show only for Luka and Abby and there are other stories...stories I considered being there just to fill air time. But doesn't this also remind you of some other die hards and a certain other "off the show"?

You really prefer NEELA giving high fives to Harold The Geek? And try to be practical, ma belle !ER lost LOADS of viewers with the HORIZONTAL CHOPPER OF DOOM which left poor RAY legless! And I am always a happy camper when the ratings are higher! ;D

I think it's that Shane West's appeal is a closed book to me; I don't find him attractive and I have never been convinced by his acting, which is to say I've never believed in him as a fully qualified medical professional. I also don't much care who Neela gets horizontal with any more; her wibbling and indecision (although her assertions that she had to "work it out" weren't backed up by any actual footage of her, you know, "working it out") make Abby's Carter/Luka dilemma (I'm sorry, it's hard for me to even type that) look like razor sharp clarity of thought and laser like reasoning. And wherein lay Neela'a actual dilemma? I didn't know at the time and it's too late for me to care now.
But, credit where it's due - I was cheering him on when he laid it on the line with Gates at The Wedding. I think it's a testament to Gates's unlikeability that he made me think well of Ray.

Actually ER's ratings were bad before Ray's accident, they went down after Graduation Day and kept sliding.
That's when the focus of the show shifted and seemed to be a lot fo Gates crap and none of it made the character look nice or worth watching that much of. He didn't have the previous years of being a good guy like Luka did so why would we cheer him on or want to see him come out the other side like people did with Luka in season nine?
I really think season 13 ended the 'roomies' stuff and I liked them as a couple that could be. But After the way Neela went back and forth and never really made a choice FOR Ray, then his accident there doesn't seem to be anything more there.
The actor left and the writers could have had Ray in Chicago to rehab but they didn't. They sent him away and put Neela in other situations where we haven't really seen her even think much about Ray. We got one mention that she sent him a letter. That's not anything more than the rest of the staff did with their care package to him.
I'd like it if Neela and Ray ended up together but I don't see why the writers would devote time to it at this point. They are ending the show either this year or next (thanks writer's strike) and should be wrapping up stories, not making new ones.
We'll hopefully see Luby wrap up in a way that makes sense since Maura Tierney has not left the show and Goran Visnjic is still a part-time cast member. Actors that have actually severed ties? I'm not looking for them to come back at all.
