I liked the line "Yeah but mice make me jump on a chair and go EEK" .. Sarcastic Abby just makes me go weak at the knees.
Well done episode and you can just see how Abby thinking about Joe and Luka when she got back to the hospital, after she just came so close to dieing. I just love Mauras acting, shit I just love her =))
With the cell phone , he was probably out of the room while the MRI was going on. I know with mine they never have anyone but me in the room. When it was done the tech most likely told him he could go in.

I have one more thing to add, guys! Hated the fact that Luka had only got ONE MINUTE ON SCREEN , and Gates .... TOO MUCH. I can't stand him. He is absolutely ridiculous in all his love scenes with Neela. No wonder the poor girl has to drink some wine to be able to shag him. I could have gaped at Luka, Abby and MongoJoe for ages at the Thanksgiving party in the ER ( hey, not only is Luka a hunk, but he can also cook for loads of people! ).... instead I had to watch Gates and Neela in a " no-chemistry-at-all-i-am- snoring" love scene!! good point zelda, i agree with you 100%!! i can't stand gates either , and instead luka /abby scenes we have to watch him and neela, like you said NO chemistry at all and even there was i still wouldn't care...

Omg what a great episode! that was totally different then I expected...i have to admit, as massive an abby fan i am (and she is amazing- totally hope i can be as good a doctor someday!) the promo made me think this would be an abby hero show and as unrealistic as the other hero episodes, but was so moving! i haven't been able to stop crying. ER writers have got it totaly right this season. Loved that Abby wanted to spend thanksgiving with her family and the way they contrasted everyone's thanksgiving histories with their realities- bet abby never expected this domestic bliss when she was being chased around a house by Maggie with a knife when she was 10 Loved the scoop and run with the MI lady. Was expecting this to be all about the bus crash, but that was a great story. But the poor dead lady stayed in the helicopter all that time? and the person transferred to the hospital from the crash was in the helicopter with?! seems strange! The end was great- showed the ER family all together. And the last bit about how to take care of Joe was so sad- surely Luka's worst nightmare to lose another partner- next epi looks great! Enough for me....i'm gonna get some more icecream, take to my bed and watch the episode again!

I know, I thought that too! But then, if you think about it, doctors see dead bodies all the time, so they probably didn't even think about it...? I finally saw this ep!! (on youtube) I LOVED Abby when she said 'darlin it's the job'. Her voice and facial expressions... And when she turned around at admit, to see Luka and Joe, you could see the tears in her eyes, it was so amazing! And her interaction with the little boy was so adorable.

I just watched it for the...well fourth time I think. It was not a 'over the top hero Abby' episode. I loved her with the boy the shine a light on me part and then seeing Abby threating the people in need and the boy following her with the flashlight was good!
As all of you I loved the ' but we just got here' scene and the thanksgiving party.
But what bugged me was that no-one had seemed to know where Abby was!! I found that quite stupid, what if something did happened, I know it didn't but what if. My dad works in a ER and they have a chopper but if he's on call for that, there is always one of his co-workers who knows where they are going to and what kind of trauma he's in.
Maura her acting was outstanding, again. She ussed her facial expresions when she needs to and doesn't need words to let us know what is going on in her head. Like when the bus fell down into the cliff and you saw her looking at it......you could see that she thought of what might could have happen and that she could have lost her family right there. Good job Maura!!!

I know this is only a tv show and it not 'real'! but i was thinking the same thing, nobody seemed to concerned about Abby, surely the rest of the staff must have known about the crash, how bad it was, and that Abby was there? Another thing, that been on my mind, what time scale was all this happening in, i thought it was a bit confusing? because ray said to abby that, 'you were out all night', the girl who came in with a star in her stomach, was at a midnight sale. and as much as i loved the scene when Luka turned up, should Joe have been in bed or at least asleep, routine and all. You can tell me to shut up and that am thinking about this, way to much!!!

Yup, but the girl did say that 'midnight sales start at four now'. Altho that doesn't really help the time scale, lol. I too am confused. Lol, but I'm such an ER/Abby obsessive, I can never find it in me too care when the show gets something wrong

I think Neela said something about a bus crash victim coming in, so they must have known about it at least...but you are right you would think that they would know where Abby was, remember when Mark was on a flight and it went down, everyone knew where he was, they radioed in

Can someone help me find caps for this episode? I have been looking all over for them. I don't download the episodes, so I can't make them myself. I only tape them on my VCR, and have yet to discover how to transport the show from tape onto my computer. If someone can help me out I will forever be greatful!! Thanks a bunch!!
