Heh....it's been two days and I am still loving/watching that scene. I would have to agree that they both did an amazing job with their expressions and reactions. (Anyone from the Emmys listening? ) Caught Abby actually GIGGLING twice in last night's epi. Is that a first?? I don't recall her ever actually.... giggling. Anyone else feel like Neela is blaming herself for what happened with Meg...just a wee bit? Loved that Ray was there when she needed to talk about the surgery that had excited her so much. Hate that she didn't realize it and kind of took him for granted. And I have never really been a Reela.....until lately. Was it me or was there funnier stuff going on OUTSIDE Simon's trauma room?? I didn't find much of what he was saying funny at all. Probably just me......

I feel like Simon was supposed to be a character that you weren't supposed to find terribly funny. I think his story was more about taking one last chance even if it scared the hell out of you just so you know that you didn't give it up. Therefore, his plot struck that chord with Abby who admitted to herself what she really wanted.

Anyone else feel like Neela is blaming herself for what happened with Meg...just a wee bit? I get the feeling she is blaming herself somewhat, and she should, she was kinda the catalyst. The way she said sorry last week to Sarah in the trauma room sounded more of a 'I'm sorry I partly caused this ' than a 'I'm sorry your mum is dead'...hopefully this spells the demise of Gates/Neela.

Admittedly, I couldn't be bothered with the majority of last Thursday's show. But the proposal more than made up for a slow beginning.
I loved, loved, loved the bit where she says, 'ask me again'...'ask me again'. Luca knew what it was she wanted him to ask and his face broke into a smile that told of someone who loved another very deeply. I swooned when he took hold of Abby's hands and knelt before her and only wish it could've lasted longer. Why they continually save the best for last, is beyond for me.
As for Sam's kid, well, that's all on her. Alex witnessed his mother kill his father, in cold blood and he's acting out. Sam doesn't want to go to jail for something she considered was self-defense, so she's refusing to get Alex counseling. Figuring his rebellion will pass in time.
But what she did to protect Alex is ripping him apart and rather than getting him someone who he can talk to, she's pushing everything under the rug...in order to protect herself.
I actually find the part about Sam and Alex a bit fascinating and understand why the boy is acting out but...oh well...anyway...watching an hour of drivel was well worth the Luca and Abby proposal, well worth it indeed.

I'm sorry but that had to be THE most boring episode so far this season and quite possibly for the last few seasons. The last 5 mins did make up for most of it, but I nearly fell asleep waiting for it to end!!
