Pratt going to Africa? Waaaaa (It was nice from Luka to decide to stay in Chicago. If I were pregnant, I would kill my boyfriend for going to that dangerous place for a longer time..

This is going to sound terrible, but Pratt can stay in Africa, for all I care. He's really getting on my nerves. That whole "Pratt's back" attitude he had with Luka in this episode really ticked me off. Like he didn't do anything wrong to begin with... geeeeeeeez! I was annoyed with Luka for even considering going to Africa, but hey, it's not his fault. It's the writers. Personally I think it's totally out of character... remember how he called off a previous trip just to pursue a relationship with Sam? So why all of a sudden, while in a serious relationship with his pregnant girlfriend, would he decide he must go to Africa? *Shrugs - thank God he didn't go.*

Yeah I think Pratt can stay as long as he likes in Africa- and they do need lots of help over there! Luka got an email from Carter asking for help and lets just say Luka owes Carter a few favours so I don't find it strange that Luka said he would help out. I find it strange that as The Chief of ER that he can just up and leave his post if he wants to . I think when he told Abby he was going to Africa he knew that she wouldn't be thrilled - but in his own silly male mind he was probably just thinking it would be a quick trip and he would be back in plenty of time to be there for the baby to be born. However as Abby pointed out last time he nearly died and then came back with Malaria. The rest of the scene was her finally telling him in a round about way- she needed him. Then he drops the bombshell that he is not going to Africa now and Pratt is going instead! I wanted her to say "I Love you" out loud but instead she showed him her feelings with that kiss. Abby has made her move -now let's see how Luka responds.

That would be something. I'd love to see how Luka works that out. It's always good to see those two explore their feelings, it's the best way to get to know the character deeper.

I loved this episode, particularly the scene where Abby opens up to Luka - it's about time they started talking to each other about how they really feel! Maura's acting was amazing, totally believable and very heartfelt. The kiss at the end of the scene said it all for me. I laughed out loud at the part when Luka says he's sending Pratt, and Abby asks "To help me with the baby?" I was annoyed with Luka for even considering going to Africa, but hey, it's not his fault. It's the writers. Personally I think it's totally out of character... remember how he called off a previous trip just to pursue a relationship with Sam? So why all of a sudden, while in a serious relationship with his pregnant girlfriend, would he decide he must go to Africa? *Shrugs - thank God he didn't go.* I think he was considering going because he just doesn't realise how much Abby needs him around and also he can't actually believe that he is important to someone. He's been alone for so long that he's got used to being able to do what he wants when he wants, without having to worry about how it might affect someone else. That's why I was so pleased to hear Abby's speech about how she needed him. Surely it can't be long before one of them says those three little words - can it?
