I've watched this episode twice now and i think a third time tonight as well am still beaming about seeing everyone again. And we all thought that George was too HOLLYWOOD to appear!! Glad he still realizes where he came from!! The writers really stayed true to the characters. It was like time had stood still and we'd pick up where they left off. Doug was his usual funny self, making jokes, 'you know am a good speller...' tired and devoted to his patients and Carol is still besotted with him and the end when Doug placed his arms around Carol and she says, 'I love you' and they kiss. It was PERFECT!! I replayed that scene so many times!! but i keep thinking why did we never get a Luby moment like that?? They've been away for nearly 10 years and we get this perfect loving Doug and Carol moment. What did Luby get a quick goodbye kiss 'In the book of Abby'. Benton and Carter, one of the best love hate friendships of the ER. I loved it when Benton said, 'Carter? Those socks look ridiculous', a typical Benton response! Am re watching season 3 at the moment which i think were the glory days of their friendship. Benton was alway taking the lead with Carter as the under study. You could really could make a video of their love story

Welcome back, John Wells! What ER magic. The way the old mixed with the new even thought they had no reference in common, the twist of the kidney going to Carter. Benton's scenes were so lovely. Him sitting by the bed, directly intervening in surgery were so typical Benton! I love the fact all people were with their respective partners, although I may have expected there to be a few more kids! I feel like all the storylines..Carter, the heart patient, Cate's desire to have children, are all merging in really well. I can't believe its the last few eps, just when it is getting good again! I mean if we had episodes like the last few it would never have to be on its last season!
