That was a BEAUTIFUL ending to an amazing show. It really came full circle and did justice to the show. I would have loved Luby to be there, but this was the next best thing.
I'm still crying... I probably will for a long time. ER has been a huge part of my life for a very long time.

I loved when Carter looked at Rachel and called her Dr. Greene oh my god amazing. Is it bad that the theme song playing in the end is what got me?

This episode was perfect in everyway.... What i especially loved about this episode, was how they stayed true to the show and kept it as just another day in the ER. Some viewers may have found this boring? But i think it was the right choice the writers made. And yes as Laure said, there were some unresolved issue but i kinda like that. It made it seem more real. That life still goes on. I loved very much how they went all old school on us, from the old style credits (i knew they would), to the whole feel of the show, the writers went back to the beginning, which i think was a good move on their part. I fully expected carol, doug, and the rest of the old gang to show up with a a fresh faced young Carter!! Morris replicating Green in the pilot from season one, Gates and Carter playing basketball (reminded me of all the times shared between green and doug), Susan, Benton, Weaver, Corday, it was like they'd never left. I could still see the chemistry between Benton and Corday. Gates actually reminded me of Doug in the beginning of this episode, not sure why?? And Reece, he hasn't changed. Just a little taller!! He was adorable. I have to say that i didn't cry like i thought i would. The 'retrospectic' was sadder for me. The combination of the instrumental music (which ER does so well) and various scenes, pulled at my heart strings, so many memories!! Just Surprized they didn't show a clip of abby and Luka in 'bloodline'. The part that got to me the most was where Alex started crying about Greens final episode. It just goes to show how close the cast of ER really are or should i say 'were'. The only time i really came close to tears in this eppie were the scenes with Rachel. Just mentioning Greens name and that was it for me. And the end when Carter said to her, 'Dr Green' are you coming It really was a tribute to 15 years. Although not all the cast came back, you could feel there presents in everyway. For me the Perfect ending to a perfect show. sorry to ramble on but i have so much to say......

Christabelle, Where did you see the restrospective. I tried to download it but didn't work coz I'm not registered. Do you know where I could find it or save a link for me... I'm leaving for my holidays tonight. I hope I can still get it this afternoon...

I feel drained................and not because I have cried that much...........
It's just that I am aware that it's the last time I am gonna post about a new ER epi....
JOHN WELLS WROTE A PERFECT ENDING................... Totally in the spirit of OLD ER...
The restrospective was so well done.............and I am amazed to see how well I remembered EVERYTHING...
And, like Christabelle, I loved that the last day was so normal, with big traumas coming, docs and nurses running everywhere, nothing grandiloquent and over the top.
The best parts:
- Of course, when LYDIA ( who had been MIA for ages) walks into the on-call room and wakes MORRIS up.... Had been expecting this to happen as a tribute to MARK but had a large grin on my face.
- Loved to see all the nurses. Thank you to MALIK, LILY, CHUNY and especially HALEH...........
- Loved CHAZ as a first year student ( ? ) showing the ER to the bunch of newbies...
- What moved me most was FRANK's face when RACHEL introduced herself to him...TROY EVANS's face was incredible...........like when he said goodbye to PRATT.
- I also loved that all the stories with the current cast weren't all wrapped up....even though SAM and GATES will probably make out like crazy in the Mustang.
About the old cast:
I LOVED EVERYTHING.
The small details which made me melt:
-Seeing REESE with his Dad, and the fact that MATTHEW WATKINS was still playing the role.
- SUSAN was so beautiful. If ER was a fairy tale, she and CARTER would hook up....( he is no more snotty and smug and loaded.............and doesn't look like her baby brother anymore as in season 1 when he had a huge crush on her. ) And I really hated KEM today. Why the hell did she come ? Apart from the fact that she is still grieving JOSHUA so much, she obviously has nothing anymore in common with CARTER. She was cold and distant and the poor guy broke my heart with his sad eyes.
If ER was a fairy tale, ELIZABETH and BENTON would be together now.............and CLEO who had only one facial expression during 3 seasons, would be completely forgotten........as she was for the majority of us.
If ER was MY FAIRY TALE, LUKA and ABBY would have been drinking with their friends at the bar , remembering the good ol' days.......... but they are happy in Boston with JOEJOE and it's all the best.
I only started crying when CARTER said to RACHEL: Are you coming Dr Greene ? "........ I am a sentimental sap and was seeing MARK watching " OVER THE RAINBOW. "
And I really bawled like a baby with the return of the theme song , the zoom to show the whole COUNTY HOSPITAL and the EL passing by.
END OF AN ERA..............GOOD BYE OLD FRIEND..........
