yes, there are five seasons total, four of which are on dvd right now. the fifth season isn't as good, unfortunately, because of the loss of phil hartman. maura is still wonderful, though.

If you are looking to buy, the first DVD set is clearly the best of the bunch. It gives you Seasons 1 and 2. I wonder if they plan to put Season 5 out?? It wasn't the best as they struggled to get through the loss of Phil Hartman. Probably not a good idea to even DO that season. But I can imagine they thought it would be a tribute of some sort to Hartman. I can't imagine how difficult it was to even go to work during that time.

YAY! My season three and four DVDs finally arrived today! And the first episode where Mathew grows a moustache had me in hystrics, it was so funny. I almost choked on my lunch when Dave turned him around to look at the girls who Joe had lined up and when they saw Mathews moustache Beth screamed and ran away, Lisa choked on her water and spat it out in his face and Catherine slapped him! It was so hilarious I love this show I can't believe I never watched it when it was on telly.

i was listening to the commentary with maura on disc one of s4, and she was talking about an episode she did while still filming "liar liar". she said her hair was blondish for the movie, and so she had to wear a wig...her friend apparently saw the eppy and called her to say she "didn't know [maura] had become hasidic". hahaha.

LOL! She also went blonde in season three; in the season three commentary they talk about how she had to start wearing a wig, and you can see it once you know. Do you know if this was for a movie? Lol, I do know those stations, cos everyone's always talking about them airing Newsradio! Grrr I'm STILL waiting for my season four to arrive

What IS it with her and the blonde thing??? I thought it started when she did it during 'Chaos Theory' but it looks like she has been doing this for a while.

I know!! It would appear that Maura just likes to go blonde every couple of years or so. Altho, season three was 96/97, right? And she did Liar Liar in 97, in which she is kinda blonde-ish - definitely lighter than Lisa, anyway. But she did say on the View, when she went blonde during ER, that she just felt like a change, or something like that. Hehe, I have thought about this waaay too much. I just looove her hair brown so much

Thanks for that link Wendy that was an interesting article, I especially liked this part;
By this time Maura Tierney had revealed herself to be such a supremely dominating actress that in these episodes she fulfilled the role of both Lisa and Dave (as set-up man).
Always nice to read positive comments about Maura.

I love this show sooo much! I have three episodes to go of season four, I watched them all weekend I loved the one where Matthew got the mini car for his birthday and was driving all over the office then hit that woman, LOL he is such a goon! Maura and Dave were cracking me up in Space when they were after the alien and were doing their moves with their guns, they were so over the top it was hilarious. The gag reels are great too, they are just so funny I have a question though, I have listened to the commentary that Maura does and she mentioned when asked why Khandi Alexander left that it was because of Lauren Graham...was she meant to become a regular cast member or something? And also does anyone know when the commentary was actually done because they mentioned her love sences with Goran but then mentioned Desperate Housewives so it had to be done recently, but it can't have been during season 12 when Abby and Luka were together again was it? I was just getting confused by some of the things they were saying.
