Ooookay.....THANK you, Maura Tierney. It has now been five days since I saw 'Blackout' and I am STILL obsessed with your performance. Dang....
I am wondering what the point of having Niko around is going to be? With things playing out the way they did with Moretti, one wonders why they felt the need to introduce another new character???

IMO, Niko is not going to show up in this epi. I think the point of him showing up at all is to distract Luka or perhaps give Luka an indication as to what's going on based on Abby's reaction or behavior toward Niko. I believe they wanted a character outside of the ER setting to draw attention to this arc ... only my opinion, of course.

I know there was some speculation as to if he arrives with Luka...who appears to have come to the hospital right from the airport. It might be possible that they were flying standby and Luka got a flight a couple of hours earlier to get home faster and Niko gets in later. Plausible?? Maybe. I am also thinking that his presence is giving Abby an excuse not to get physical with Luka....and dredge up memories of doing it with the yeti? My head hurts with all the new people they are bringing on. I just want Abby to work this out and have a happy resolution....soon. Sigh.

Within the spoilers it says after her reunion with Luka she goes into the break room and throws up. I'm wondering, is it because of a hangover or because of the guilt she feels for sleeping with Moretti? I want happy Luka and Abby back! Maybe Luka meets Moretti and they shake hands. That would make me want to puke.

Um...correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Moretti head of the ICU? And since meetings are being held (not all the time...maybe) with chiefs from all specialties, my guess is they already know each other. Maybe only from these meetings, without talking to the other one.

I am dreading the possiblility of Luka and Moreti meeting, i think i will be sick as well As for niko, I don't understand how Luka could not leave Croatia and his father even though the brother would still be able to finish up on his own as Abby suggested. But now both brothers are coming to Chicago, leaving a helpless man, completely alone. I find this quite ironic seeing as Niko has heavily criticized Luka's presence in the US, yet now Niko, himself is leaving an ailing father behind to follow his brother to the US.

Who says the old man is totally alone? My take on it is that Luka stayed to see him through the crisis (and as a doctor he is peculiarly qualified for that) and to see him settled at home. Is Luka home in the expectation of returning with his family so his father can at least meet them, giving Niko a break from what must have been a very trying situation for him too perhaps?

Am really looking forward to this episode but i just wish that Luka didn't have to bring his brother back with him. Just when Abby needs him the most. He's been away for x amounts of months and naturally you would want some alone time with your husband. Which is what she needs. IMO Abby might be more open about her problems if he wasn't around!
But something is bothering me, Luka had to spent all his time looking after his father, making a big deal that he couldn't come back because he needed to get his father settled back at home, so how come that both he and Niko come back to Chicago..? surely that means that he could have come home sooner..? why isn't Niko staying their to take care of thier father..?

A couple of posts (from lubylove and myself) have suggested explanations for this. carito - you think this has made Luka look like an uncaring irresponsible shit; we get it. It's my experience though that in TeeVee Land the cheated on are meant to elicit sympathy.
