Thanks guys, here's another chapter!! Chapter 9 Abby stood in shock not knowing what to say. Her daughter? The daughter she had given away years ago was here? And was sick? However, Abby didn’t have time to process all of this, because Dustin began to explain. “Hannah was diagnosed a few months ago with acute myeloid leukaemia. She had a donor, but the donor died. So, we looked you up, we know that we weren’t supposed too…” Abby shook her head, letting them know that she understood. “She needs the transplant,” Caroline broke in. “Of course,” Abby told them. “Of course I’ll donate; it’s just that a biological parent is only half a match. She would probably have a better chance if you put her back on the donor list.” Abby was shaking from head to toe, but trying her best not to lose her cool. “But there’s a chance that you could be better than half a match,” Caroline told her with pleading filling her lips. Abby nodded. “I know that when you gave her up, that we promised to take care of her. And we have, we have. But this is something that we can’t protect her from. You have to take care of her.” “Yeah,” Abby whispered, her thoughts running at five hundred miles per minute. “Is she…?” Abby paused, “She’s here.” The Kline’s nodded. “She must be scared.” “She’s with my mother,” Dustin informed her, letting Abby know that she hadn’t left Hannah alone. “Can…can I see her?” Abby asked, eagerness edging her words. “I’d like to meet her.” “We’ll have to check with her first, but if it’s okay with her, of course,” Dustin told Abby, who just nodded her head. She was having a hard time making sense of everything. “Abigail,” Caroline said, her voice lightly shaking. “Our daughter could die.” Caroline’s lips began to shake, and all that Abby could offer her was a small nod of her head. She kept repeating those words in her head daughter could die this news was hitting her like a ton of bricks. Then, suddenly, she jerked back as a force ran into her. She jolted in shock, but quickly realized that it was Lexy hugging on her leg. “Mommy,” Lexy said with a smile, ignoring the couple in front of her mother. “I made something for you today.” “That’s great sweetie,” Abby said, although her words lacked the enthusiasm she needed. “Hey,” Luka said with Luke toting beside him, holding his hand. “I told Lexy not to interrupt your conversation.” He looked over toward the couple and gave them a sincere smile. “Sorry that little Tink here interrupted your conversation with my wife. We’ll get out of your way.” “No,” Caroline said. “That’s fine. We were just leaving; we need to go to our daughter. Abigail, just find us when you know something, please.” Dustin and Caroline walked off, leaving Abby in her thoughts. She would normally scold her daughter for interrupting, because Lexy knew that her parents’ job was very important. Interrupting could mean not being able to help someone. Luka quickly picked up that something was wrong. “Abby?” Luka asked. Abby brought her watery eyes up to Luka’s. “I…” she whispered, she looked down at her children’s expectant eyes. Then back up at Luka’s. “I…um…” she didn’t finish her sentence, she just walked away. Leaving Luka, Lexy, and Luke stunned and confused.

Thanks guys!! Chapter 10 Luka stood shocked. Abby had just walked away without any sort of explanation. He felt slight tugs on both arms by both children. Neither of them had any patience, which they had inherited from both of their parents. “Daddy?” Luke asked, tugging Luka’s arm, “where did mommy go?” “Um,” Luka began, not knowing how to answer his son. “Is mommy okay?” Lexy questioned Luka. Luka again was at a loss. He didn’t know how to answer his children’s questions at the moment. All he knew was that he needed to find Abby and find out what was going on. However, he knew that he couldn’t do that with Lexy and Luke at his side. Luckily he spotted Susan walking down the hall. “Susan,” Luka called. Susan smiled and walked over to him. “Hey guys,” she smiled down at Lexy and Luke. “Did you guys just get back from school?” They both nodded eagerly. “Susan, what are you about to do?” “Um, I’m about to go to the cafeteria. I haven’t had time to eat all day. I have had…” “Good,” Luka interrupted. “Can you take Luke and Tink with you? I, um, I have to go do something really quick.” He didn’t want to bring Abby into it, and then there would be questions. Questions that he knew he wouldn’t be able to answer. “Sure,” Susan answered, slightly confused. “Come on guys,” she told them putting out both hands for them to take. Then she walked them to the cafeteria. Luka then rushed toward drug lock up. He was pretty sure that that was where Abby was going to be. It seemed to be the place where every doctor preferred to go when they needed to get away. Luka pushed open the door to the, but he didn’t see anyone in there. He went to close the door, but he heard a sniffle. So, he walked into the closet. At first, he didn’t see Abby. But as he walked in, he found her hidden in a corner. Her legs were up at her chest and her arms were wrapped around her legs as she cried into her knees.

Thanks guys, here's a new chapter!! Chapter 11 “Abby,” Luka said softly, not wanting to startle her. Abby pulled her head up slowly, allowing Luka to see her tear stained cheeks. Luka took a seat next to her on the floor, as his eyes continued to look at her with worry. Abby wiped away her tears with her fingertips and attempted to stop her tears. When she finally felt like she could talk, she took a deep breath. “I have another daughter,” Abby confessed, her voice unsteady. “She needs a bone marrow transplant. And I could be a potentially good match.” Tears steadily made their way down her cheeks. She could see the shock apparent in Luka’s eyes. She had never told him about Hannah before. But Luka didn’t talk, he allowed her to continue. “I know I should have told you about her before, but,” Abby paused, “but, I never knew how to bring it up.” Abby wiped away a few new tears before continuing down her cheeks. “My mom wanted me to keep her, but I knew. I knew that she deserved better than life. And now.” Abby paused again, “she’s here. My daughter. And, I’ve thought about this day. I thought about how I would look and what I would say to her. But I never thought that she would be sick, and now…I don’t know what to do. What do I do?” Abby chocked on a sob and Luka took her right hand into his. “You get your blood drawn and have them check to see if you are a good match. Then, you go upstairs and meet that girl of yours,” he told her sweetly. Abby nodded her head, tears continuing to fall. Luka got up and placed both of his hands on her cheeks and kissed her gently on the forehead. Then he stood up straight and gave her a hand to help her up. “Come on.”

Here's a new chapter, thanks guys!! Chapter 12 A Little While LaterAbby paced the floor waiting for the Kline’s to come out and tell her whether or not Hannah wanted to meet her. She had just gotten her blood drawn by Weaver. She and Luka had told her everything, knowing that she would keep this a secret for Abby, but also help out in anyway possible. Luke and Lexy were now with Kerry helping her fold sheets for the memorial clinic. They both liked helping out in the hospital. It made them feel like they were like their mom and dad. “Hannah’s in there,” she whispered looking at a hospital door. “Yes she is,” Luka confirmed, putting his hand on Abby’s shoulder to stop her pacing. Abby was so happy that he was her husband. She was extremely surprised how he had jumped in quickly to the situation, not making her feel guilty for never telling him. He was wonderfully supportive. She couldn’t have asked for more in a husband. Dustin and Caroline walked out into the hallway, pulling off their yellow paper suits. Abby moved toward them anxiously. “We’re so sorry,” Dustin said as he pulled off his mask. “It’s just that she’s so tired,” Caroline explained. “We left the choice up to Hannah, and she’s just not ready,” Dustin continued. “And we didn’t want to push too much on her,” said Caroline. “Maybe another time,” Dustin added. “Of course, I understand,” Abby told them, although her shaky voice betrayed her words spoken. “I’m sorry, but the transplant?” Dustin asked. Abby nodded her head. She couldn’t find the words to speak. Luka came up behind her and squeezed her hand supportively, helping her find her words. “Of course, of course, um,” Abby began, “they’ll know soon if I’m a match. And if so, we’ll get started right away.” Dustin and Caroline nodded appreciatively. Then they asked Abby to please contact them as soon as she knew anything and Abby agreed.

I´m glad it doesn´t involve Jake - so far. They already have Luka as a great father.
Hope she can help her girl. I´m sure it would mean a lot to Abby.

Here's a new chapter!! Chapter 13 After they were gone, Abby took a seat in the waiting area and Luka sat next to her. “I didn’t think I really cared until she said no,” Abby stated. Abby could feel more tears threatening to escape her eyelids, but she vainly tried to keep them from falling. Luka didn’t say anything, but he placed his hand around her and let her lay her head on his chest. “Abby, Luka,” Kerry said as she walked toward them. They both stood up. “Where are the kids?” Abby asked. “I left them with an intern. Don’t worry they’re fine,” she assured them. “I just thought you’d want me to tell you the results.” “Yes, what do they say? Am I a match?” Abby asked. “You can’t donate,” Kerry told her shaking her head slightly. “I’m not a match?” Abby asked, disappointment ringing in her voice. “No, you are a good match,” Kerry informed her. “Then why can’t I donate?” “Because,” she began, “you’re pregnant.” Short but I'll have another one later!!
