Sheila was horrible. And Callie did a great job. Her look when Damian found her in the bed was really something.
Talking about Damian, man, that kid talks. Utterly embarrassing moment - off camera, thank God - must be him looking for the key to set his mom free....

I thought the Kelly/Sheila/Janet scene was very funny, three good actresses playing off each other. Maura was awesome again when the tone became serious, communicating such sadness with just her face and eyes.
Did anyone think it might have been an inside joke from the writers (Tolan and Leary) when Maura said "my Pilates instructor is this greek guy with a great ass"? Could it have been an inside reference to Michael? He does have some physical features that many Greek guys have.
I really, really, hope they can get Maura back for those 4 episodes, but I'm also really disappointed that it could be almost two years before we see Kelly again. I agree with Larue and Taras that it APPEARS they are setting it up for Kelly and Tommy to end up together, not married, but in a "real" relationship at the end of the show (if they can get Maura back).
Poor Callie Thorne, she has the same problem as Maura with the Emmys. She has been as good as any of the actresses nominated for best supporting actress this year, but since her show isn't "popular" she will never get that recognition. She is very, very funny, and while I dislike Sheila's character, I find her humor entertaining.
IMHO, Maura's work in "jump" was the best of her "rescue me" run, with "zippo" a close second. I think it was her best TV work since the "Blackout" episode of ER.

Best line of DRINK - You always check out the enemy's ass! (Janet Gavin)
Littlewonder: I think one of the best Maura performances on ER was first with SKIN, then with Sally Field's arc and then Blackout.

Count me in for watching next season too. I can't wait to see how they wrap up the series. And, of course, can't wait to see if they're able to work it out for Maura to return! Peter Tolan made it sound like it's as close to a done deal as it can get. Hope so!

LOL.....I thought exactly the same thing.....and mostly because I bought this Kelly character hook, line and sinker. She was so close to the kind of person that I imagine Maura to be like in her real life, I think. Sharp, witty, independent, observant....and emotional. And we could sit here all day and argue her 'best performances'....and I have seen most of them. She always blows me away but never like she did in 'Bloodline.' To portray the emotion that she was able to while lying motionless on a freaking gurney just set into play the rest of her performances on 'er.' I still think that was the finest piece of editiing, direction and acting I have ever seen.

I remember Matthew Broderick (finding amanda commentaries)talking about "a man around" to Tolen, and I´m sure - off record - he said more about the guy, and it gave ideas to Tolen.... Or maybe not Anyway, the whole Bowie thing was 100% Maura. If I had to pick just one scene that I don´t think I´ll ever forget from ER, I would say her crying at the airpoirt in Blackout. Abby and I sobbing. Unforgettable.
