"A face from the past that stirs Tommy AND Janet's emotions" doesn't sound like Kelly because I'm not sure why Kelly's face would stir Janet's emotions. Maybe the face of their son who died? Or Tommy's brother who Janet was involved with who also died? I hope it's Kellly, but I would lean toward it being their dead son.
I have no idea what to make the the New York Post article. That seems like it could be legit, they could be using unused shots from Maura's work on RM last year, or maybe she did a very short, unpublicized scene for season 6.
I will definitely be watching though....

If it isn't her, then it isn't her. We know she is comingggg, we just don't know when. It's nice to be excited and surprised about this stuff! I am watching no matter what because I am now invested in the show!

Another NY Post article: www.nypost.com/p/entertainment/tv/warehouse_meets_eureka_YBAg4VPk8GEeAw3xQjfjDK“Rescue Me” (Tuesday, 10 p.m., FX) Sure, this firefighting cabaret show has Mama scared that it’s only a matter of time before Tommy grabs the mike and croaks out a tune, but last week’s performance by Michael Lombardi was nonetheless entertaining. And with the welcome return of Maura Tierney, Mama can forgive a song or two in anticipation of this week’s fiery episode as Tommy hits rock bottom for the fifth time.

I am so mad at the NY Post! What gives? Why do they have to write that she will be in it?
Maybe next week? Who knows.

I don't think she will be in it till next season... Girls, I just watched Mercy and I don't know where to put this elsewhere, it's a bit Rescue Me-related. It broke my heart when I saw it I'm so scared to see this happen with the 'new' Kelly McPhee in next season Rescue Me... It's about a patient with cancer, and at a sudden moment she's out of bed and lying on the floor, about to give up the horrible and exhausting fight against it. When Veronica (Taylor Schilling) kneels down besides her, and Lucy says "It's never been this bad..." I suddenly thought, and saw this happening in Rescue Me. I thought for a sec that it could be Maura and... pff I don't know.. I thought what if she thought the same about it? She acts strong but hell, no one could be that strong every day when you're vomit-sick and feel that your body is like dying... If it's *just* an actor you see playing it, I don't know, it's hard but it happens *out there* and you can think they played it good. But next season RM.... Maura, OUR GIRL is playing it, but she's not really playing, actually it's REAL!! It would have been hard to see when she 'just' played like she has cancer, a 'bald wig', pale face, eyebrows concealed under a layer of makeup. But it ISN'T They don't have to do that, coz she doesn't have hair, she doesn't have eyebrows, she ís skinny and pale, probably she is sick from chemo and she even doesn't have eyelashes!! I think no one of us will see Kelly McPhee, everyone sees Maura..... I'm so scared right now about the new season and for what see's been through ....... Gosh I'm a *little* depressed right now ;( Sorry for the long story but I thought maybe it's good to share it with you guys coz I think I've been underestimated it how much impact it is likely to affect us, maura fans....

Dianne, I completely agree with you. While she is playing a part, she is really playing herself in a way. And I know that all of us are going to be quite emotional during this time, because: a. we are not sure what is to come b. we do not know what is involved in her playing the part c. they could have made her look way worse than she really was in order to express how sick she is supposed to be and many many more reasons
This is real, this is raw. But we have to remember above all: this is Maura. Just keep thinking through it all that she is OK now, and that is all that matters. I know I am going to lose it and cry when I watch it, but I am going to be thinking about the positive also. I just really hope they do not make her die in the show. I just don't know if I could watch that, because I wouldn't be thinking Kelly at all, I would be thinking Maura.

I love Mercy! And that was just an outstanding performance, Moss should have been nominated for an Emmy for that. With Maura, but then neither get in. It will be interesting to speculate as to how it will be played with Kelly McPhee.

It broke my heart when I saw it I'm so scared to see this happen with the 'new' Kelly McPhee in next season Rescue Me... of course I know that there'll be a kelly-cancer-storyline. i read it somwhere. but i didn't answer or make a comment on it until now, because i didn't know what to say, i was so surprised and so scared at the same time. i think it's just so courageous to play someone who has cancer why you're actually having cancer in real life. and this is why i admire maura so much. i guess if i had cancer i wouldn't/couldn't do it, i mean playing this role (this was probably a dumb sentence, i hope you don't get me wrong). maura is really that kind of woman you have to look up to. i'm only 15 and she already changed my life so much. i can't even tell how and why. maybe just because she's.. i don't know. i really can't tell. she has that one thing. well, she has that 1000000000 things but you know what i mean. and now i'm very courious and as i said: scared to watch rescue me and maura's outstanding performance. and i think i'm gonna cry. A LOT. that's it for today.

Of course I don't want to be a downer or wish bad things for anyone, specially Maura. but a relative who is a doctor, said the other day, we were talking about our vice-president here in Brasil who is fighting cancer, that it takes someone 5 years being healthy to be considered cured. Look at many other women who had breast cancer and did the treatment and surgery, and are doing OK without over-extreme measures to fight the disease.

I'm sooo gonna cry when I'll watch it, think a need a week off for it to get myself together hihi Ohhhhhh and I will be SOOO *@&^%*@$ mmmmmaaaadddd if she doesn't get a emmy or something for it....

Nonsense, who would commit suicide having someone like Maura - I mean -Kelly? Besides, she can´t fight cancer to lose her lover all in one season. That´s just mean. I´d rather think he was just swimming - a lot.
