Their resolution won't happen quickley...well..not won't but it won't be plausible...And really, Luka to get over the guilt that his wife was getting drunk BECAUSE OF HIM - or so he thinks- that he hasn't seen his father in ages and he gets sick, then dies alone, the fact that the woman he gave his whole heart to again cheated on him and made him feel unloved-AGAIN- only during those two weeks in Croatia when he spent nearly a decade getting over the loss of his children, is unbelievable for any character, not just because he's Luka.
And he doesn;t need to say anything to her;just the fact that he'll forgive her after all that shows that not only he loves her more but that he's willing to overcome anything just to be with her.

which stage is abby? was she R3 at the end of last season, so would be R4 now? doesnt that mean she could be chief resident? fantastic storyline that would be! Abby was an R2 in s12, thus an R3 in s13, and currently an R4. Unless time off counts against her (something that they haven't been consistent with on the show), she'd be up for an attending position next year. If she was going to be a Chief Resident, it would have been this season.

i admit it would have been implausible, even for ER's standards. But I can't help thinking watching Abby's development with responsibilities as an attendent or something senior is something they haven't really touched on yet and would be a nice character progression rather then going on the old drama stuff. Although i spose they've done that with pratt this season, albeit dubiously! i'm suprised they didnt make a thing about abby possibly being chief resident this season, of the way they've always made her out to be super doctor it would have made sense.

It would also have been absolute overkill. She's had pretty much all of the season so far devoted to her leap off the wagon- throwing in the Chief Resident stuff too would have been altogether too much. And she's also had her fair share of "super-doc" moments too. Enough.
I think the pausibility of Luka and Abby having forgiven themselves depends on how skillfully they're written as talking and understanding. Bugger - I just jinxed that, didn't I?

From spoilerfix Kovac, Abby and the baby are still in Croatia. They've emailed a picture and Neela is not so sure that they are happy. Morris, Neela and Harold work on 41-year-old Sheryl McCormack who was involved in a car accident that sent her SUV rolling a few times. Gates and a paramedic are in an arcade to help out someone named Hank. Frank, Pratt, Jarvik, Dubenko, and Sam also appear.
