I'm so happy to know that she's definitely back to work. And I'm happier to see her hair is normal, natural .. because I was SO afraid to see her with no hair or short .. anyone understand me? [/quote I do. Every woman I've ever seen with breast cancer before has been wearing a scarf or has really, really short hair. It's nice to see the long hair.

Thank you for all the info and pics! I don't know if it's her own hair, of course I hope so for her, but I had cancer too and had a wig and if you have a really good one it sure looks real. But of course I'm also hoping she hasn't lost her hair, but if so, then she has a beautiful wig that looks real, like her own hair. I'm happy to see her again, but even more happy that there weren't any pictures of her on the internet the last time so that she had some privacy.

twitpic.com/z56cdAnother pic from the stage. Is it sloping or what? I can't make a thing of it?

Yes I think it is, if you see how their feet are standing, they have to keep balance by standing like that. You can see it even more in the first picture on the previous page, look at Maura's feet.

I agree with what Sissa said yesterday - even the pictures are weird LOL
It almost makes me not want to read any reviews or recaps before I see it, just so I can be surprised and amazed and freaked out when I see it for myself LOL

You can also follow the theater in LA - the REDCAT - on Twitter: twitter.com/CalArtsREDCATThey had a picture up this afternoon of Frances McDormand and two other actors at rehearsal, but it looks like it's since been taken down. Frances had on a military green/brown t-shirt and pants and a huge pair of silver headphones.

It's going to be totally weird, but pretty awesome. I've seen The Wooster Group before, and it was insane, but amazing. You just can't expect rational, naturalistic theatre (obviously)-- it's a completely different style and method of play. I think it's so amazing that this is what Maura has chosen to do next. If I could chose where to work as an actor, I'd definitely want the experience and challenge of working with The Wooster Group. There is nothing like what they do in North America- I can't wait to see it !!

still reading the play.... crazy... funny but with some disturbing dialogue, if I may ask, could natives give us "ESL wanna bes" a hand with expressions on the text? Some I can get but others are difficult to understand. 50 pages to go.

English is my first language and - just from the few pages I've read - I don't even know if I'd be much help in explaining it! LOL. But I'm guessing, based on what lesser said, that reading it is going to be much different than actually seeing it. I'm already preparing myself to have no idea what's happening onstage, LOL. I'm just going to follow Maura.

Yep, it will take a while to digest the performance , I kind of understand the stage moving. If I understood the text , it will be very critical about a lot of current issues [ didn't get the spoiler part to write it here] I also didn't get the music part yet. and YES, I always see plays twice. I do understand it better the 2nd time. God of Carnage I read the play the day I went, it was easy and funny to read so it helped A LOT to focus on the performances.

I'm planning on going at least twice, maybe three times, so hopefully I'll understand it a little better the second time around. I'm sure the first night will be spent just staring at Maura LOL

Another topic, should we all read Martine's list of questions we all wanted Mantell to ask her? I've been chatting with Mantell and guess what. He didn't know Maura is in L.A. So I informed him about the play. He's still at Sundance now, but he's going to contact her publicist to ask her for an interview at his studio in L.A. I sure hope it works out for him this time !

2 weeks from today, folks! The show opens in LA 2 weeks from today! Oooh, I just had a thought! Would we maybe be interested in sending her some flowers on opening night from all of us here?
