hey i feel like i have to say something..else. of course it is shocking for us to see her like that but she had/has cancer. i think it's kinda normal to lose one's hair then. so..it's still maura and we still love her right? just..maura without hair. we have to get used to that. she finished cancer treatments, she's doing fine now and i think she'll look great when she'll have short hair soon so why do we say 'oh no, maura without hair'? why don't we say 'hey, maura is doing fine! yaaaay' instead? please dont get me wrong. i just felt like i have to say that.

I really hope that isn't her, but something is telling me that it is. But hey, at least we're getting news of what she's doing now, like mauraaddicted said, if that is indeed her, it's the same Maura that we love, hair or not.

I know what you're saying, I think it's just a little bit of a shock, considering we haven't seen her AT ALL since the Bye Bye Birdie pic. Of course we will still love Maura NO MATTER WHAT! Hair, no hair, she's our girl you know? She looks beautiful no matter what, and the only thing that matters is that she is OK!!! Just glad to see her and know that!

I'm sorry my post made you feel bad, but, indeed, we have to look at the bright side. Maura is back to work so that's a good sign and I'm sure her hair will grow back soon !

I agree. I know it's a shock for us, but we'll get used to it - and it still doesn't change the awesome news we got yesterday!

She looked absolutely gorgeous with her ER S7 hair - I'd love a return to that style! I'm with everyone else, of course - red hair, blue hair, long hair, no hair, whatever - we still love her.

I have deleted my previous comment and reworded it...
I am not shocked at the way she looks, this is how I would expected her to look like after the chemo. Does it matter whether Maura has hair or no hair? The woman has gone through intensive chemo that will causes you to lose your hair, make you feel very weak and sick. It must have been the scariest time of her life, let alone losing her father during that time too
Maura is still a beautiful woman inside and out whether she has hair or not. This is a woman of courage, just like all the people who have battled cancer...
Well done Maura!

I really don´t care. To me the most important new came yesterday when her PR said Maura´s treatment was over. She´s facing her looks every single day. She is now working in front of people and soon will be in front of one hundred. If she can do her part I can do mine, which is support her 100% hair/no hair, job/no job whatever. In a very shallow note I have to say that I bet she looks good without hair. I think Sinéad O'Connor looks great, even better without hair. Maura! Maura! Maura!

A friend of mine has seen the Wooster Group perform quite a bit and I was telling her yesterday what a hard time a lot of us were having in understanding the written text of the play. She was like, "I hope you don't expect to understand it any better when you see it onstage. They do some crazy stuff!" LOL! So I guess we need to prepare ourselves to be totally lost LOL

I am not shocked or anything, although I will have to admit that it was a bit suprising even if we saw it coming.
I'm just very glad she's working again and most important, that she's better!

I can only imagine that it must have been hard for her; for any woman who battles cancer to lose their hair. Its such a big part of who most women our, but it's how they get better, which thankfully she is, and thats whats most important here!!

It's her in the pic, you can tell by her hands. She has beautiful long hands and fingers. It can be shocking to see a woman without hair if you are not used to it. I think you would all be reassured with a picture from the front. I actually like her better with no hair than the red hair!
I know this is probably biased but my sister looked absolutely adorable when she lost her hair during chemo, especially when she wore a baseball cap or stocking cap! And it was even cuter when it grew back into a "peach fuzz". Her hair grew back thicker and even more beautiful than it was before, although it grew back with a little grey in it. Knowing how cute and beautiful Maura is I'm sure she still looks adorable without hair.
It's a poignant reminder of what she has been through.
(This may be why we've had no sightings, people may not be recognizing her in a wig or hat or without hair)
