She looked complety pretty and stunning, seriously. Her smile is so beautiful and touching. I loved all the Maura's scene. She rocked as always. So proud of her.

I got really upset at the thought/mention of her not being ok. I know that it is only Kelly, but still, it's Maura. It made me upset. I see that NEXT WEEK there is some Kelly-Tommy kisses that occur. YOWZA! That is awesomee. I mean I don't like that he is cheating on his wife, but I do like that the storyline will be a bit raunchier. Maura continues to shine as Kelly, but we already know this. So will next week be her final episode? (I think she is only signed on to do 3?) Hmm... She better get a friggin' EMMY. That's all I have to say.

Severe thunderstorm knocked out our cable right in the middle of the apartment scene....came back so I could tape the show during its second showing and then was gone again as Kelly was saying good by to Tommy at the door. Ugh. But LOVED the dialog going at a fast clip about tits and then suddenly 'Do you believe in God?' LOL Would LOVE to be writing this show. LOL

I loved this episode. I love the friendship they've built between Kelly and Tommy, and Denis Leary always seems like a different (i.e. better) actor in his scenes with Maura. I could watch the two of them just sit there and talk all day because there's such an ease and such a natural chemistry between them. And I thought the kiss at the door was really sweet. I don't think they'll sleep together at any point, at least I hope not, because I think that would take away from the genuine friendship that's been created between them.
And I thought it was funny that they had a whole scene about Derek Jeter since Maura and Leary are both such big Red Sox fans. But my favorite was Kelly's line to the doctor about still being on for her white blood cell count the next day, LOL.

Maura was brilliant (again/as always) in last night's episode:

She just seems to have the knack. That is the mark of a great and selfless actor, but it could be one of the reasons she gets ignored in the awards because voters do not realize the reason the other actors are so good is because of Maura. As for the episode, I really enjoyed it, the discussion about Eric/Derek Jeter was great (why are the cute ones so boring) there is an episode titled 'Jeter' later in the season, so we'll see if Maura is in that one. But Jeter must have been very interested in Kelly that she had to tell him to go away. It started to get a little more serious than light-hearted in the Kelly scenes, I wonder if next week will be the heavy emotional stuff.

I totally agree with this statement....and would have to say that its true of most (if not every) actor that I have seen her work with. She just seems to have the knack. She definitely does, she's able to elevate the work of everyone she does scenes with. And with some of the co-stars she's had, I'm sure that hasn't always been an easy feat, LOL. And I do think one of the reasons she was ignored during the later years of ER (besides the Academy not wanting to recognize an "old" show) is because she's SO subtle. There's nothing flashy about her work, nothing that screams "Emmy bait!" like with so many other actors. She just does quiet, beautiful work. And that's what I feel in her scenes with Leary - even when the dialogue's frenetic, her presence is really calming. I think she even manages to calm Leary, LOL. I think so - that shirt she has on in the preview for next week looks like the one she had on in the promo where she seems upset and looks like she's throwing something.
