As soon as Robert introduced him, I had to control myself from yelling "That's Maura's kid." I wish we would get her name soon then we will know what to say besides Maura's character.

She gets the episode named after her? Nice! I'm glad you were able to find some news, I really thought we'd have a lot more info/spoilers by now.

The Office people are acting like the CIA with this guest appearance, hopefully NBC is not a D*ck about it and actually promote her in the previews for the episode. I mean the ep is titled Mrs. California so she must have a lot to do with the episode.

I´d like to know if his affair (or whatever goes on with Robert and that other woman...) happens before Maura´s epi and if people in the office will know about it. The title of the episode is Mrs. California.

Catherine Tate is set to return for mid-season which usually means Feb. sweeps. And we no nothing as to what the Californias relationship is, are they activally married, seperated, divorcing, or is the episode about her showing up to ask for a divorce. We have never heard Robert mention anything about his wife so it is all a big mystery. Whatever happens with Tate and Robert could open up the door for Maura to return. Maybe she could get Dunder Mifflin in the divorce and she can run things. No need to pay me office producers.

No need to pay me office producers. LOL, look at you, practically writing the show yourself! I like that it says he brings her into the office, since that should mean she'll get to work with pretty much the whole cast. And slightly OT, but I read Mindy Kaling's book this weekend and she is absolutely hysterical. I really hope Maura gets some screentime with her.

Mindy was on "Chelsea Lately" last night and they mostly discussed her book, I was hoping Chelsea would ask her about the office and Mindy would say something like I just worked with Maura, she was a lot of fun, but no such luck. I would love to know if Chelsea is a Maura fan at all.
I thought about picking up the book last weekend, I'll have to pick it up next time I'm in town.

TV Guide's fair weather love of Maura shows its ugly head this week when I got the new issue. It was a double issue with the listing for the final week of November into December. And there was no mention of Maura on the show. The only listing it had of the office on Dec 1 was in the grid saying "Robert brings his wife to the office." um, ok.
But 2 weeks from now they will probably praise her for how great she was like when she was on RM this summer saying she deserves an Emmy. She deserved an Emmy in S14 of ER & I never read anything like that in the TV Guide.

I was wondering.... When she did her first episode of ER, she was a guest star, but they already had a deal for more.
In Rescue Me, we only found out she would (sign for) do more episodes (the last four) after she gave up parenthood.
I just can´t believe "the office"´s producers got Maura for just one episode. It´s crazy. I bet they have an option for more episodes and maybe even get her as regular.
Or she´s doing just this one episode because she has other things to do. We never know her professional plans beforehand.

I think there is likely an option for more considering she's playing the CEO's wife, she could be a recurring character. When Catherine Tate shows up midseason and has a possible affiar with Robert, the door should be open for Maura to guest on a few more episodes.
Maybe the producers will wait for the response from viewers for the Dec 1 ep and go from there.
