If they want better ratings, perhaps TPTB should pop onto the fanfic boards...

Kizzy they have lost their way. I love Luby to bits but the stories are just no where near as good as they once were. The characters are not as developed and it is just missing that old ER feeling. Watching older episodes, they are fast paced, full of action and sure they had HUGE anvils in them, but it wasn't so in your face all the time. And the characters seemed to be a happier....

I've got an image now of like the last scene of Er, real cheesy like but I have little imagination Like, scanning through the rooms of the hospital, from season 1 certain bits from each character just speeded up but like, with quotes over the top? And yeah. Loose ends. Reunion and a general thing that will make everyone WEEP at the ends and buy all the dvds when they come out. I can't believe this show has been going since I was 4. (4!!!)

Me neither Caffywin! And that's part of the reason why I only watched from S10, but I must say that getting me into this show was one of the best things that my friend has done for me. Thanks to him for making me cross over from the dark side of British medical drama! I agree with your ideas because I like how they played quotes from past seasons when Carter left at the end of S11. I really hope that they tie up the storylines at the end, because I honestly don't see the point in them being left hanging, and I also hope that they finish on a high note.

Does anybody else think that the promo's at the moment are so miss leading, to what we watch? because this week eppie from 'here to paternity' the promo was really intense, and you can always count on a good snow storm for a classic episode of ER. However, i felt that it didn't live up to previous seasons, their was no sense of urgency about it and was quite slow (although i still enjoyed watching it). The promos at the moment remind me so much of ER in its earlier days, but when you come to watch the episode, its far from it.
Maybe the people who create the promo should direct ER?
I've just watched an series 8 eppie 'beyond repair' and it does make you realise that ER is not the same, i forgot how good Abby was as a nurse and how well she interacted with her patients, something i think that is lost at the moment in ER. I think there are less lead actors as there once was and i think that makes a difference.
What i don't understand is why the can't make ER like it used to be? ......whats changed? if you lost your way then most find there way back...
sorry to ramble on......but its i love ER and i don't want it to go.....
