Alarmist me: Maybe there is going to be a hostage-bomb sittuation in the TV Station Weaver works and ...since Luka and Abby are Henry's guardians...that is, if they actually don't want to bring her back, they could just bring her name and her son.

Weaver could be back for a conference or reporting/making a little documentary for a show for her TV News Station I thought Weaver was a medical genius, yes she was and not so alpha bitch in her last season, showing her soft side... Anyway you dont wanna to know what my other half said about why Weaver was coming back...

I could see her coming back for a convention of some sort. Or bringing Henry for a holiday visit with his Grandparents. Going to be interesting to see her come back with so many newbies about the place....people who have NO history with her. Whose left at this point? The nurses....Neela, Sam, Gates and Morris?? Hee. I can still see her bellowing at the intern rabbit Morris. And now HE is the ranking senority staff memeber. LOL Oh, and maybe we would get a verbal update on Luby....... Yet, I am still not real intent on watching past Abby's exit. Sigh.

Call a doctor: Some may not survive the end of 'ER' BY TERRY MORROW from Newsday
As "ER" marches to the end with its 15th and final season, the body count will begin. (The NBC series returns Sept. 25.)
Executive producer John Wells says not all the cast members will be around for the series finale in 2009.
DOES ANYONE DIE? "I don't really want to answer that. Take that answer for what you will," Wells says. What if Wells does kill off someone? "It would be someone whose story has played out," he says. But he did confirm that not all the current cast will make it through to the finale. "No, you won't see all of the current cast there."
WHO COMES BACK? Noah Wyle will return near the end of the season, Wells says. He doesn't think original cast member George Clooney would have time to reprise his role.
WHO'S NEW? Angela Bassett will play the ER's new chief. Despite rumors to the contrary, Wells says Bassett is not being introduced for an eventual spinoff. NBC did ask Wells once to look at spinning off the hit series, with the stories looking at other emergency rooms around the country. "Sort of like how 'CSI' did 'CSI: Miami,'"he says.
ABOUT THE FINALE. Wells has had the finale thought out for years and has even been taking notes for a while about the subject. "We're going to be talking, I think, during the season about the condition of the health-care system because it will be our last time to really comment on it. I would have never believed it when we had those first conversations that ... 15 years later, not only would we have not solved things, but we have actually allowed the system to deteriorate."

Credit: ausiellofiles.ew.com/According to Ausiello Files When ER hired Angela Bassett to join the cast this season as County General's newest attending, little did we know that her husband came with the deal! The soon-to-expire NBC drama has tapped Bassett's real-life spouse, Courtney B. Vance, to play her hubby on the show. The former Law & Order: CI ADA is on board for a multi-episode arc, and based on what I'm hearing, it's a safe bet that the couple's actual marriage is a lot healthier than their pretend one.

Cinefaythe at TEex
Earlier in the week, Ausiello talked more about his impressions of Shane West's return and mentions plans for the final airing:
Question: Any news on other former cast members planning to make returns to ER before the show signs off this winter? -- Matt
Ausiello: At this point, Shane West is the only alum officially signed on. Meanwhile, I think it's a very safe bet that the two-hour finale will be preceded by a star-studded, hour-long retrospective.
Question: While I appreciate all of the "Reela" scoop of late, the little bomb you dropped last week about a Ray-Neela-Brenner triangle left me in a bit of a funk. Got anything to cheer me up? -- Doris
Ausiello: Triangle, shmiangle. If it's not already obvious that Ray and Neela are destined to walk off into the sunset together next February, wait until you see the final scene (or at least I think it'll be the final scene) of the Oct. 30 episode. You "Reela" fans are going to soil yourselves.

Who can blame him??? Guest stars tend to get the Emmy nominations. Not like he really needs one or anything.....

RATS!! I just did some checking and this week NBC is giving us several epis of The Office.....or was it 30 Rock (??) in the 10 pm slot. Next week we get 'The Chicago Way'....before the new season premiere. I was SO hoping to see 'Owner of a Broken Heart' since my DVD player went bonkers and I didn't get it recorded. Sigh.

Yes, but why do they say "several" why don't they just say "a few" or something like that. Maybe I'm reading too much between the lines. If GV is going to appear then Maura should appear, right? Or not...

Or not... You not reading to much, you just desperate like me for any new hope that both Maura and Goran will return!! However, because we will soon be luby deprived they should really clarify probably what they mean. Like you i take several as more then two. But who knows?? am still looking at the article as two eppies only, that way i don't get my hopes up, if it doesn't happen but if he does return am sure Maura will make an appearance....i hope!! why didn't they both just stay until the end??
