i think your right......its a waiting game!! there so many articles around at the moment, you don't know what to believe. Yeah, all I know is that after episode 3 or 4 I won't be watching it anymore... unless I have a BIG reason to do it!! haha i'll still be watching it, all the way till the end!! It won't be the same without Luka and Abby, its going to leave a huge void but i've been watching it since it started and never missed an episode.

I just can't stand Stamos, and the episodes (in my opinion) are pretty boring, specially if he is the main storyline. My only reason for watching it would be Scott Grimes, I adore him!!

Like I said earlier in this thread, I've been watching this show since the beginning 14 years ago, like Christabelle, seen every episode, I am not finishing until I've seen the end... ER is not just about Luka and Abby.... ER was it's finest in it's early day... (Even though Abby is my ultimate favourite)

Certain storylines where the ones that got my attention... now, I just don't feel "attracted" to it, and I don't see why I have to watch it anymore. It's sad because I've been watching it for a long time and all my favourite characters are gone. I really don't have any reason to watch it now... except for Morris, of course!

People like abbyroad who am assuming started to watch ER later on, probably from around season 7 on wards, which centered more around luka and Abby, they will probably most likely switch off and find it easier to do so because they don't have that bond/connection with the show with the like of me and Allie who have been watching it from day one. There will certainly be a huge void minus Luka and Abby. For me it want be the same. In past years when a favourite character of mine has left there has always been another that I've liked, now there is nobody left that i really care about, but putting that aside i will still be there till the end.

I started to watch it around middle of season 5 (I was too young and my mother didn't let me watch it ) and it's still hard to give it up!

Question: What's cookin' on the ER front? -- Gary Ausiello: A sister for Linda Cardellini's Sam! Her estranged (and yet to be cast) sib turns up later this season to deliver some horrific news. OMG, horrific news? Oh wait, I don´t care for Sam.

I may not care for Sam either but I care deeply in that the writers continue to assume that we have no sense of continuity. What they have written for this character is WAY off what they have given us of Sam's history in the last few seasons. Going to be interesting to see how they reconcile it all......IF they do.

Anyway I am not a fan of Sam either but she has improved since splitting up with Luka... So what her sister got to say? Is she going to drop the clanger that they have different fathers? or... That is she a lesbian? or... That Steve is still alive after Sam abandoning him dead in the middle of nowhere? Or... that she had a kid with Steve years ago... The list can go on!

i thnk news is about her mother according this from spoilertv Sam's (Linda Cardellini) sister. SEE ATTACHED PHOTO. She is 25 years old - attractive, funky, bubbly, extroverted, makes friends in a heartbeat. Smart, but not a great student. Never finished college, but has a passion for fashion design and after many years of struggle, it looks like she's hit the big time. Her career will take her around the world, away from Dallas, where she cares for her Mom who's frail, in assisted living. She shows up in Sam's life with a plan to move Mom to Chicago so Sam can pitch in with her care. This doesn't go over well, since Mom kicked Sam out of the house 15 years ago when she was pregnant - and they haven't spoken a word since. Kelly and Sam haven't been close either - they've interacted only once or twice in the past 15 years so there is a lot of work that needs to be done if these sisters are to re-connect...Six (6) scenes in episode 16. sptv050769 Plus more Eps TBD

It´s really a shame that we remember the character´s story better than the writers. There´s huge continuity problems - specially with Sam. This weekend I was watching one epy where she´s asking Alex about living with Luka and I think he mentioned they lived with his father. Ok, I admit, I wasn´t paying much attencion (is this a word?)...
So, she was pregnant and her parents wanted her inside the house, but she also said they kicked her out. She lived with Steve for a while, but says she raised Alex all by herself. Seems her mother became a criminal and now is very sick, I supose. No word about her dad - other than she doesn´t see him in years - I remember she said he died when she was 3 (maybe in Family Business).
Man, she´s looking more and more like Nicole.

Ask ausiello Question: What are you hearing about the final episodes of ER? -- Joel Ausiello: I'm hearing they've found a way to tie all 600 seasons together. "How?" you ask. "With a very old man," I answer. The show is looking for an actor who's pushing 80 (In Hollywood? Good luck!) to play a mugging victim who, through a bajillion flashbacks, is revealed to have been behind the founding of County General's Emergency Room.

Well it won't be Red Buttons who came on a few times as Ruby Redux as the actor since passed away... So let me think of someone worthy to have a memorable guess spot... Is it really too much trouble just to have back for the final episode?
