'Helen' is being made by Egoli Tossell films and Goran's name is now listed on their website for the film.
I am excited about this, I think. I have always enjoyed Ashley Judd but even more so since she said on a talk show that she was for sure and certain she was a hetrosexual because she had to kiss Salma Hayek in 'Frida'. She said if you can kiss Salma Hayek and feel nothing, you KNOW you can't be gay. She was just SO so cute. Heh
(And don't go after me with the homophobe label again. I am not. It had Nothing to do with that.....she was just so sweet and CUTE. )
It's been confirmed in Variety that Goran has joined the movie Helen, though it doesn't say anything about the part he has:
Goran Visnjic joins Judd in 'Helen' Film is Nettelbeck's English-language debut By MICHAEL FLEMING Visnjic
Goran Visnjic will join Ashley Judd in "Helen," the English-language debut of Sandra Nettelbeck, writer and director of "Mostly Martha." Judd plays a woman who gives the illusion of leading a perfect life but actually harbors a dark secret.
Pic, which also stars Lauren Lee Smith, just began shooting, backed by the Little Film Co. (which will sell worldwide rights at AFM), German-based Egoli Tossell and Insight Film Studios. Aramid Entertainment is co-financing.
Judy Tossell is producing and Jens Meurer is exec producer.
'Helen' is being screened at Sundance at the end of the month. An article on BleuProfind reported that Ashley Judd and a couple other stars would be at the festival. Sadly, Goran wasn't listed. Happily...he may be busy doing something else! : )
Well, screenings at Sundance are gennerally an effort to seek out a distributor. I think we have a quicker chance of seeing him in the Hallmark movie at this point. Sad...because I enjoy watching Ashley Judd on screen as well.
It's premiering at Sundance over the next week, the initial talk was that it might release in February, no set date as yet though. There are pics up at BP2 of Goran and the cast from the first screening last night.
