A 100 pages say that is time for a new one.
The well known rules: hated by many, ran over by others but surviving.
Rules for Goran's Paternity Suit discussion.
1-FIRST:
-All news, comments, PICTURES; related to Goran’s Paternity Suit must be posted in the "Goran’s Paternity Suit" thread and ONLY THERE, for a better control of the discussion and information given. If a related post is created out of this thread it will be deleted .
-If any other Goran thread, derives in this discussion, posts in that thread will be deleted.
2-All rumors, speculation, or potentially harmful remarks are banned and anything that constitutes slander* will be deleted... and out of respect for all parties, no one is to speculate on what might have happened.
*Slander: attacking the name or reputation of a person (in this case; the actor and parts involved) or words falsely spoken** that damage their reputation. **a false statement constitutes anything not confirmed by the parties involved or that is not published by a reputable source"
2- Any post considered a provocation towards another member will cause the deletion of all the posts made by the member in that thread.
3- If any argument rises; the thread will be closed and the discussion of the subject will be forbidden again for a longer period of time. The infraction of rule number 1- will have the same effect.
4-Positive or negative opinions regarding Goran’s paternity issue; both are accepted BUT slander against ANY of the parts involved is forbidden. (including Mirella, Ivana and the babies)
5- Remember not to affirm anything as a fact if you don't have a reliable source to support your statement on and avoid making harmful comments against Mirella or Ivana's hyphotetical actions.
6- Speculating on Tin’s adoption is FORBIDDEN
7-Be very careful when choosing our words to express our thoughts, considering that this is a delicate topic.
Speak freely but carefully; always remember that "Sticks and stones do break bones but words can hurt too"
8- Everyone knows we have some important forums from which we receive and share information with (spoilers, news, pictures, etc) to name the most significant ones:
-AEB -Bleu Profond (BP) -ER Exchange (TEEx) -Coffee and Pie (C&P) -Lubylet (yahoo group) -Abby Lockhart Fan Club (MSN group) -TV.com Forums -FanForum ER -ER Headquarters
Any information taken from these sites, must be given the respective credit here (please, if posible, ask for permission before posting it) Giving credit is something I find very important because it recognizes the effort made by a person of finding the information.
No bashing, no indirect statements (intended to damage their reputations) or similars can be referred to those websites here, in order to avoid arguments like the last one we had and also for respect of the boards involved (including ours).
9- We don't know if GV is the father of the baby for sure (no confirmation or denial have been released...yet) and until the paternity isn't established, please abstain to state that he is the father.
10- Be careful with your insinuations, some innuendos are going to far and are implying that there's extort or an organized crime under the IV & GV relationship and that is too much. That is crossing the line of libel.
11- DON'T STATE something if you're a 100% NOT SURE about it and have a verifiable source to support yourself on.
12- Support your statements on a reliable source or article. Not in a simple: "I know this, someone told me that or I am a Croatian and I know or many Croatians say that". This is a serious discussion and the topic is too delicate to fall in offensive speculation; a certain level of conjectures, is fine but when we reach the point when we start implying offensive suppositions, like for example, that there is an extort to keep Goran in his marriage, we've reached the limit.
13- Opinions are all respected, whether you support any of the positions developed in the conversation, AS LONG AS they stick to the guidelines I have presented here. It's not a matter of: "If you have a contrary opinion, you’ll be banned". It's a matter of finding the right words to express your thoughts, trying not to incite or offend to avoid picking up fights and of course, bashing.
14- If someone incites anyone, even between the lines, the post will be deleted. The persons who answer back will have their posts deleted too (so ignore and don't answer back).
16- If someone is being threatened by PM, that's out of my control. My advise, is to send the threatening PMs to Wendy and ask her for a solution. If you're having trouble to contact Wendy, write me and I'll contact her for you.
17. If you don't feel comfortable with the subject under discussion, don't come in here and make inciting posts just because you feel in the freaking mood to do it.

__________________________________________________________________________ Sibenik resident Mirela Rupic (36) has reported to police already this month that she's received anonymous threatening messages. The mother of six-month old Lana Lourdes, alleged illegitimate daughter of Goran Visnjic (35), has been deeply troubled by the messages and simply lost patience. She was at the police reporting for somewhat less than an hour's time, and says how she wants the messages' author to experience the same as her. Mirela is firm that the messages have been of the kind of nature that any normal person would not be able to endure. She doesn't want to talk about the details, but says it's in order that she's able to report "everything".

Translation of : www.24sata.hr/index.php?cmd=show_clanak&tekst_id=34298&context=naslovnica&web_page_id=main_pageMirela's message: "You will be swallowed into obscurity, will end badly"Mother of illegitimate daughter of actor Goran Visnjic, Mirela Rupic is very distressed because for more than a month somebody has constantly threatened her I've received nasty messages for already more than a month and will not endure that further. I just want the person who is doing this to feel the same as I do, said Mirela Rupic after being at the Sibenik police station for 45 minutes. Somebody has made threatening telephone calls to her and sent insults through SMS messages. There were more than 30 of those calls and messages, says Mirela Rupic's lawyer, Nenad Skare. "You will be swallowed into obscurity, will end badly", "Will disappear!", are just some of the troublesome messages that she got. Her lawyer's firm on that and adds that she's been threatened and insulted. – Besides threatening her, somebody insulted her as well. Said that she is a woman of easy morals. She is very frightened and distressed. Difficult to bear. For now I do not have official police information about whose number Mirela received threats from – says lawyer Skare. The police have requested the numerical printout from the telephone operator. Ms. Rupic and her lawyer for now do not wish to speculate who could be threatening her. He adds that his client does not have to pay brand new security services to guard her. She needs the protection, says lawyer Skare, the Sibenik police will give her. Because of the DNA analysis lawsuit Visnjic will come to Zagreb. Since the hearing was held before the municipal court in Zagreb, he will certainly perform the DNA test in the area under the court's authority, explained Skare. This will most likely be at the Institute for judicial medicine in Zagreb's Salati. Mirela gave birth to Lana Lourdes seven and a half months ago. Goran admitted that he drank and had a one-night stand with Mirela, who overall, he said, isn't an attractive woman.

Update on the situation. www.24sata.hr/index.php?cmd=show_clanak&tekst_id=37474&context=naslovnica&web_page_id=main_pageGoran Visnjic recognized Lana Lourdes without a DNA test Without a DNA test being carried out Goran Visnjic (36) admitted that he is the father of eight-month old Lana Lourdes. The actor was given three opportunities to come for testing for paternity. He already failed to be there for the first, and the second was on Thursday. However, Visnjic denied the right to a DNA expert evaluation and recognized the daughter of Mirela Rupic (36). Besides acknowledgement, he committed to pay alimony of 9000 kuna. The Sibenik resident was seeking 10,000 kuna so the sum will be officially determined at a hearing on November 27th. Because of Goran's admission Mirela is in a state of absolute shock.

Ona iznosi 9000 kuna, a glumac mora platiti i sve zaostatke. ______________________________________________ Visnjic requests the right to see little Lana Lourdes The actor must give 9000 kuna per month alimony to Mirela Rupic for his illegitimate daughter. The court set plans for him to see Lana once a month. The Zagreb municipal court judge this morning accepted the acknowledgment from Goran Visnjic (36) that 8-month old Lana Lourdes is his daughter. He had her with Sibenik resident Mirela Rupic. The DNA analysis won't be necessary. Visnjic had said that he "will recognize the child provided DNA analysis show that she is his, but also then she will not see him often" but that she "can contact if she grows up into a decent person". Through his lawyer Marijana Hanžekovića he now unexpectedly requested to see Lana Lourdes often even though after his acknowledgment there already is that legal right. The court set that he can see his daughter once a month. The court determined the level of the monthly alimony. That amount is 9000 kuna, and the actor must also pay all the backlog. Mirela Rupic (36) is satisfied with the ruling yet this morning she left the hearing in tears. Visnjic's lawyer requested court intervention by a children's attorney in order to protect the minor Lana Lourdes. Visnjic did not come to the hearing, says Hanžeković, because of the media storm.

UPDATE ON THE NEWS:
www.javno.com/en/lifestyle/clanak.php?id=115432
Goran Visnjic Reports Rupic to Social Services Mirela Rupic has allowed the media to photograph Lana Lourdes, and consequently has found herself in Sibenik’s social services centre.
The famous actor from Sibenik in Croatia, that lives in the United States, Goran Visnjic, reported Mirela Rupic, the mother of his extra-martial child Lana Lourdes, to social services. More specifically, the report was to the defenders of children’s rights, for letting the media photographers take pictures of her.
As a consequence of the report, Mirela found herself in Sibenik’s centre for social services, and claims that the officials there treated her disgracefully.
Mirela said that she does not want to mention the details, because she would suffer further repression.
According to the magazine Glorija, in which Mirela Rupic posed with her child a number of times, the centre for social services sent Mirela a letter informing her that she has been accused on her non-appropriate behaviour.

Well, it would seem that even in Croatia some groups have concerns about their own legal system. By the way, Marijan Hanzekovic is the lawyer representing Goran. www.blogihrvati.com/jml/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=484&Itemid=59An extract from "THE 2007 REPORT ON CROATIAN JUDICIARY"
In 1992 attorney Marijan Hanzekovic was selected to take the position of the president of The Croatian Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (CARDC). In the meantime Mr. Hanzekovic's father became Tudjman's first minister of Finances in Croatia. Mr. Marijan Hanzekovic, one of the most adherent supporters of the Tudjman regime, occupied the post of the president of the CARDC until year 2000 when the HDZ lost the election. Under the direction of its president, Mr. Mrijan Hanzekovic, the CARDS took maximum advantage of this opportunity provided to it by the Croatian Parliament in 1994. It passed the law establishing attorneys fee structure that allows them to charge their clients three times as much as a client would have to pay for similar services, for instance, in Germany. Moreover, the law in Croatia allows attorneys to charge the proscribed fee amount for every appearance in court and for every pleading and/or correspondence with the court. This practice is contrary to the principles established and practiced, for example in Germany, and other legal systems in Europe, and it automatically brings attorneys into a conflict of interest with their own clients. The Croatian law on this issue, written by CARDS, allows for contingency fee arrangements to be entered into, in addition to the standard fee proscribed by the CARDS. This kind of arrangement, of course, increases the interest of the attorney and thus it directly affects the outcome of the litigation. This set of rules regarding attorney's fees produced the following consequences: a) Delays in resolution and conflict of interest between attorneys and their clients, because it is in attorney's interest to have as many hearings, submissions to court, and as many court appearances as possible, because they have the right to charge a proscribed fee amount for each such hearing, submission and/or court appearance. The attorneys thus can be very interested to prolong litigation, as much as possible, in order to charge his client as much as possible. b) Enormous 'legal' unjust enrichment of attorneys at the expense of Croatian citizens and legal entities, allowing some of them to become the richest people in Croatia. One of them is Mr. Marijan Hanzekovic, the most influential attorney in Croatia. He is employing more than a 100 employees and is representing many quasi-state organizations, including the Croatian Radio Television. Attorney Hanzekovic also owns the controlling percentage of the shares of DINERS, the largest credit provider in Croatia. And another extract: 5. Media 5.1. Public media The Croatian RTV is formally the only public media in Croatia. During the Former Yugoslavia the electronic media, like all other media, were under the control of the Communist Party of Jugoslavia. After the break-up of Yugoslavia and after the proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Croatia in 1990, electronic and other media came under control of the former communist general Franjo Tudjman. HDZ was then the ruling party in Croatia. During the war that followed, the HRT participated in spreading international hatred following the example of Milosevic's Serbian RTV. This activity was particularly prominent during the ethnic war in Bosnia and Hercegovina. During that time Antun Vrdoljak, Tudjman's right hand, was nominated to be in charge of the HRT. He subordinated the HTV to the 'private' interests of the ruling party and used it to 'imprison the Croatian spirit'. One of Vrdoljak's most loyal employees during Vrdoljak's takeover, was Marija Nemcic, who back then was an editor, and now has become the director of the HTV. Prior to becoming one of the editors on the HTV Marija Nemcic was practically an unknown individual. She is the director of HTV now so that there is a negative continuity of her influences at the HTV all the way to present.

In addition to his known right-wing and racist views (it's not hard to locate that information), he has had powerful (and some would say, malign and corrupt) influence and power within the media. This goes back a while, but the message is pretty clear. www.friends-partners.org/friends/news/omri/1996/02/960202II.html(opt,mozilla,unix,english,,new) NEW DIRECTOR FOR CROATIAN RADIO AND TELEVISION. Amid reports of corruption by past directors, an acrimonious debate in parliament, and an opposition walkout, Ivan Mudranic of the governing Croatian Democratic Community (HDZ) became the new director of HRTV. He replaces Ivan Parac, who had charged his predecessor Antun Vrdoljak with corruption. Vrdloljak headed HRTV until about a year ago and was best known for saying that television "must become a cathedral of the Croatian spirit." To the opposition, Vrdoljak had been the embodiment of HDZ domination of the electronic media, from which most of the population gets its news. The opposition walked out of the Sabor when the HDZ deputies blocked a discussion of Parac's revelations and charged Parac himself with corruption, news agencies reported on 1 February. -- Patrick Moore

I think somehow my point got diverted. The point I was trying to make was that in court systems it often happens that people with power and connections get different treatment than those without. I never meant to imply that I think that he has the whole of Croatia in a death gripe or all of the media under his thumb. Yes,I see your point and I am sure you are right about that (goes on all the time here in America with celebrities) Dunno but being the corrupt, powerful, influential individual that he is who knows what he is capable of? I'm being sarcastic sorry, but some of the stuff I read here just seems a little farfetched. What's farfetched? What people are actually saying or the spin put on it in the rebuttals? I'm not trying to be rude. This is an honest question. Because I feel I'm saying one thing and being told I'm saying another. Speaking in general, people with power, money and connections can influence courts and media, and when they have personal interests they often do. This is no secret. That's not the same as claiming limitless influence and power. The information provided goes to the question of is this a person who has used power in the past, and if so how, and how was that use perceived by those around him.

New report. Looks like Goran has signed assets over to Ivana. Speculation is it's to keep it from Lana, although it looks like it also could have been part of another earlier arrangement - a pre-nup perhaps? www.24sata.hr/index.php?cmd=show_clanak&tekst_id=46712Goran Visnjic's daughter has a right to his property Goran Visnjic recognized his illegitimate daughter Lana Lourdes. With wife Ivana he adopted son Tin who is living with them in America. Goran Visnjic (35) has a ten month old illegitimate daughter Lana Lourdes. Seeing as he's recognized her, she has the right to her father's inheritance and nobody can shut it down. However, Goran will live at least 50 more years, said the actor's solicitor Marijan Hanžeković. He adds that Visnjic has so far behaved correctly towards Lana's mother Mirela Rupic (36). He paid alimony while the woman was pregnant, and she violated all they had agreed on. Hanžeković denied some of the media reports that were firm that Visnjic just recently administered all his assets to his wife Ivana (37) in order to disinherit his illegitimate daughter. Goran Visnjic and wife Ivana own land and a home in Basinama on the island of Hvar. The married couple live with their 9 month old adopted son Tin in the Hollywood Hills. Goran Visnjic's (35) parents, Milka and Zeljko, live in the Žaborićima area of Sibenik where they rent an apartment. An apartment in a home belonging to Goran. His parents also own the family home in Sibenik, where they were living. Goran and his brother Joško will inherit this home from his parents. All Goran's property is rumored to be in Ivana's name because it had been, alleges one weekly, arranged that way at the beginning of the marriage. Mirela Rupic believes that it is Goran's transgressions that have traumatized their daughter, but otherwise does not want to comment.
