I'mnot sure it is absolutly offical, it says he reportedly quit the show...I guess it becomes official when NBC says something

I just got my latest issue of TV Guide in the mail. The Thursday sidebar column - which outlines who will be appearing on the late night shows - lists Goran on the Jimmy Kimmel Show discussing 'his upcoming departure from ER." So he WILL be talking about it.

I'm still holding out for Goran to stay a while longer. I think Season 14 will be the last for everyone and I'm sure TPTB will have a happy Luby ending. They are committed to that relationship along with Goran and Maura. Also, I just watched Goran's interview with Conan and during the interview he stated himself that he didn't know if he was staying on or not, so it seems up in the air. I'm sure TPTB will accommodate him even if he has other projects going on.

I can totally understand why he wants to leave but that dosn't make it any less sad You know, as much as it's a theoretically good career move for him, I'm a bit saddened that he's doing this despite the obvious implications for his coworkers of some seven years. We are all quite aware that ER is currently supported by the two powerhouses of Goran and Maura, and that it's faltering despite that. With him gone, the chances of it reviving or even maintaining are slim to none, even with Maura (who I honestly believe has been more than a driving force in the show's success, moreso than any character since Tony Edwards) are slim to none. Yes, he ought to be thinking of his own career, but it's sad that there's no loyalty there. Or at least, none that I can see. ER is obviously going to wrap up next season (unless Tony and Clooney magically make the most unlikely reappearances in TV history). I don't get why he wouldn't hold out one more season. Being the new Bond villain could certainly be worked in - look at Maura. She's got an off-Broadway show and two movies under her belt this past season alone. I don't get it. I know some will say I'm being naive, or even mean, but it's the honest truth, Maura or no Maura. By leaving, he's signing a death certificate for the show (pardon the pun) and a large cast. I wish he'd stick around to let ER go out on a good note. Just my opinion.

It is a good opinion Maggie and one I totally agree with. Because while I understand his need to move on and further his career, time for a change and all that, I also think he could hang out for one more season. What I don't understand is why he can't sign a deal like Noah (season 11) and Laura (season 12) had where they were contracted for limited episodes in the season but maintained a presence on the show...they could film numerous scenes on one day for a few episodes then it would feel like he was at least still there. Surely that would give him time to look for work elsewhere as well? I hope to mad me announces something on that show he is going to be on and that he explains it clearly and also explains what is going to happen with Luka, not storylines or exits, but if Luka will be around for a few more episodes or just up and disapear, I want solid reasons - I feel we are owed them having stuck and been invested in the show and character for years. And if I am being honest (please don't hate me for this!) I don't see Goran as a big movie star, he is a great actor, hell an outstanding one, and he sure has the looks, but I just don't see him as the next Clooney. Some actors are brilliant on TV but fail in the movies and I don't want Goran to go into obscurity like so many other ER actors in the past who we know are brilliant actors but just can't break into the movies save for a few small bit roles and b movies. I want to have access to his work and watch his talent I don't want him to go off the radar

I think we have to wait till he says something... still not sure that he would do it ( Imean, not like that... ), if there isn't anything concrete on this rummors... that would be suicide for his carrer ( even for a famous actor like Geoge Clooney or another... ) but let's see what he says and have hope, my friends... everything will turn right...
