Wow, he really does sound like a jerk in some of those articles.
I think it's sad this whole thing happened and really, people who cheat have issues. It's definitely not sexy or hot or something to admire about him. But the bad part to me is the things he said.
Why not just own up to making a mistake instead of peppering it with so many excuses? It's like he's saying he did it but it wasn't his fault.

I don't think that's how it sounds; certainly he's responsible for getting legless in the first place and he doesn't suggest he's not. My suspicion is that he's trying to suggest that this didn't arise from any unhappiness with his marriage.
Was Ms Rupic drunk too? Because if she wasn't ...

"My suspicion is that he's trying to suggest that this didn't arise from any unhappiness with his marriage." IMO most affairs arise out of unhappiness within a marriage. On occasion out of unhappiness within one-self. The circumstances for the affair seem to me to be private business. I wonder that a private man like Goran would make them public. If his wife is content to stay with him, it's really no one else's business. He would obviously explain them to her. Why put them out for all to see? It's done him no favors. In fact there's more favorable response to Goran in those outlets that give less information - not more.
Odd how quickly things went down hill press wise for Goran after his father-in-law's visit to LA.

Well....given the fact that we are talking about a 36 year old woman and not a school girl here, I think she may have taken advantage of a certain situation if she weren't. And you know what is really sad about all of this? Given that the girl will be raised by another mother away from Goran and Tin, she will always be referred to as his 'real' daughter...while Tin will always be the 'adopted' son. It doesn't really matter how strong those emotional bonds are or aren't, people exploit those titles. I remember that John Denver's ex-wife brought a case to court stating that her daughter was his 'real' child and was entitled to more from his estate than his older, adopted children. (It was thrown out, I believe, as Jessie already had a bit more of a cut because she was younger) And then there was the obituary a while ago that referred to an entertainer's children (who were in their 50's) as his 'adopted' children. Irks me to no end.....so I can seriously understand Goran's apparent reluctance to be more 'involved' with the woman and her child. Sad.....

And just to inform you further more on the case : BP posted a second part of the translation where Mirella anounces their affair was NOT a one night stand, it seems Goran found what he lacked in his marriage with her. And while she has only nice things to say about Goran, she has NOTHING good to say about Ivana!
Ouch and Hello, I believe Mirella!!

This was posted at AEB someone from Croatia and I think this changes part of the matter! I say Ivana's family took advantage of young wanting to grow Goran, but the person says Goran took advantage, aniway read it! "Actually, GV took an advantage of Ivana's father's status and money. In Croatia Ivana was known as a daughter of croatian movie director Antun Vrdoljak. She was also known as the former drug addict and a girlfriend of a drug dealer. She is not a real academic artist/ sculptor as she is representing herself. She only graduated in some kind of highschool in Zagreb where she was improving ceramic pottery. After fighting with the addiction she worked as a saleswoman in one boutique in Zagreb and after that as a stewardess. Her father Antn Vrdoljak was a friend to a former croatian president and has some influence in Hollywood (he knows the right people). In Croatia his daughter Ivana was known as the "person with past" as well as his sons. Itt was very difficult for her to get married into some fancy croatian family (as her own family, the Vrdoljak family is). She was almost 30 when she met Goran and her father gave him an offer that he could not resist- that he and his friends will help him to start a successful acting carrer in USA if he marries Ivana. In that way Ivana could start a new life n USA where nobody knows things from her past. That wasnt something new for Goran. He liked daddy's girls. For example- he was in the long relationship with Lucija Serbedzija, a daughter of Rade Serbedzija who was acting for example in the Mission Impossible and Stanley Kubrikcs "Eyes wide"..." WOWWWWWWWWW!!! THAT'S SCANDALOUS! lol so...aren't they the "perfect couple" ?? lol

Now it all makes sense with Goran and his previous girlfriend, Lucija. I actually believe all this stuff about Ivana and the drugs, and i wish I could know more about it all. She always looked really weird and like "clingy" in all the pictures with Goran, and her father was probably so happy she finally found anyone to marry her. How sad. She must be really desperate now, to save her marriage. Anyone know more about her history??

If they had been in the process of adopting for a year and a half, then how come, according to Ivana's interview in Story, Goran couldn't plan to be there, or at least in the same state, when Tin was born, considering the delivery was induced on April 19 (which she said was a special anniversary for them). Since they knew when the birth was going to be, I'm sure the producers of ER could have rearranged the shooting schedule to accommodate Goran. Especially since he was only filming that short goodbye scene with Abby and Joe in the Season Finale, which I'm sure could have been rewritten to be done inside the apartment so that Goran wouldn't have to miss the much anticipated birth of his son.

Wow oh wow, reading your post and the conclusions it leads to; gives me goosebumps, Crazy11. Mirela Rupic's lawyer was a guest in a TV talk show "Tema dana". He said that Goran and Mirela were having an affair since 2003. They were together every summer when he would be alone, said lawyer Nenad Skare. He also said that Goran is paying every month a few thousand kuna (that is a few hundred dollars) to Mirela and little Lana Lourdes. I must confess that first I thought Mirella was a gold digger but now I think she only wants Goran to recognize her child. This was posted at AEB someone from Croatia and I think this changes part of the matter! I say Ivana's family took advantage of young wanting to grow Goran, but the person says Goran took advantage, aniway read it! "Actually, GV took an advantage of Ivana's father's status and money. Okay, I think this is getting out of hands. This information has no official back up and it's suggesting feelings and things, the real persons (Ivana/Goran) probably never had. So I'm going to have to ask, in order to not rise any confrontations between members, please NOT TO POST any information (especially when it comes to delicate information like this one) that has no official back up (that is from interviews, realiable newspapers or magazines). This only helps to rise one gossip after another and it's a little sad and disrespectful for everyone involved in the issue. Hope you can understand.

Ok, I won't post anything without a back up link anymore! But I felt it was ok, since this is what's known of her in Croatia. And Mirella's staement posted after that seems to back that up "she has only nice things to say about Goran, but things turn when it comes to Ivana"
