I'm feeling so depressed, guys, even though I was expecting it! I would like to be like you, Tara girl, but I can't help thinking he will say something on these talk-shows! I'm too tired to be ecstatic about Goran having interviews within 2 days! Hey, nina, come and shake me up!

i think if both maura and goran left, the show would fall flat on its face. the producers and writers would just be out of luck. as for goran leaving, i won't believe anything until i see it from a large publication or from his mouth. the james bond thing...was that ever confirmed by a reliable source that he was vieing for it or was it just heresay/fantasizing by people?
anyway, we'll all see soon if he has anything to say. given that he's doing three big interviews at once, either he's promoting the show (which is odd on the same night as the big episode) or he has an announcement. not sure. it could definately be either way, to confirm he's leaving or staying. can't wait to see them.

I agree with you Maggie, if they leave the show will fail, I know I for one won't be too fussed to watch it, and I definatly will not download it!
I am hoping that it is just that his contract is up for renewal and that he is in negotiations right now and that is why all the rumors of him leaving started...
I guess time will tell, we are half way through the season so surely if he is going to leave for sure this year it will come out very soon...usually if people leave at the end of the season it is the penultamate episode, and I guess spoilers for that will be not too far away?

oh god...i don't think i should look at spoilers anymore. that would totally sour the whole season to find out that way.

It definatly would and if it does come out in spoilers, I hope it remains in the spoiler section I for one do not want to know, as horrible a surprise it would be I would rather is was a surprise, because at least that way it wouldn't be slow and painful waiting for the inevitable.

"the james bond thing...was that ever confirmed by a reliable source that he was vieing for it or was it just heresay/fantasizing by people? " yes, this is confirmed!! comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=10953ER Star Goran Visnjic Up for 007 Source:TV Guide August 25, 2005 TV Guide's Ausiello has confirmed internet rumors that ER star Goran Visnjic is one of the contenders for the role of 007 in Casino Royale, the 21st James Bond film which Sony is planning on releasing October 19, 2006. Yes, it's true. But should he get the role, it wouldn't mean the end of Kovac. "We have a contingency plan," says exec producer David Zabel. "We would film a bunch of stuff [with Kovac] at one time for later episodes. Or, depending on where the Bond film was shooting, he might be able to work on both at the same time. That's what [George] Clooney did. He was shooting Batman & Robin for part of the day and ER the other part." Goldeneye director Martin Campbell is back in the director's chair. Visnjic also recently starred in the Elektra movie and USA's Spartacus ------------- --------------- Last interview of director Martin Campbell to the Croatian press about Goran as about classical Bond. www.vecernji-list.hr/newsroom/scena/674014/index.do12.11.2006 17:55 EKSKLUZIVNO Redatelj novog filma o Jamesu Bondu: Višnjiæ bi bio klasièni 007 Hrvatska zvijezda iz Hollywooda Goran Višnjiæ bio je najbliži ulozi legendarnog špijuna 007 kakvog smo upoznali u dosadašnjim filmovima, ali presudilo je to što su producenti najnovijeg filma htjeli drukèijeg Jamesa Bonda.

Thanks for the article, nina, i'd been wondering about that. Perhaps that's why all the rumors got started about him leaving...?

Given that the Bond piece came out in August of 2005 I am certain the current news about him leaving are born out of the frustration of his current contract negotiations. I sincerely hope they are able to offer him the opportunity to make a few appearances next year in order to keep the Luby issue stable. As for me, I would be sad to have him leave, but I am first and foremost a Maura fan. I will watch the show as long as she is a part of it. I haven't come to care enough about any of the other characters to watch the show if they both leave.

translation "24 sata" (credit www.gogoranvisnjicatbleuprofond2.com/messageboard AzizalSaqr) From my friend Tommy in Zagreb...get the tissues ready..here is the translation Good-bye ER Goran Visnjic, As we hear from his friends, actors from Zagreb that he talks on the phone alot, has refused to re-sign the contract for new ER episodes. Visnjic has been with the show since 1999 when he landed the part after the producers saw him in the movie "Welcome to Sarajevo", made by actual events on the war in Bosnia. When he told them he won't be re-signing the contract, the producers offered to raise his fee, but Visnjic has remained firm with his decission to leave ER after 167 filmed episodes. He thinks that playing the same part for so long would damage his career and he's also longing for movie roles. He did a couple of movies during the break, but as it's the case, during the summer break nobody's making any movies and he had to decline many good offers, because he spent more then 10 months on the set of ER filming the show. The similar thing happened to his famous coleague George Clooney with his role of Doug Ross on ER turned him into a a superstar. In period from 1994. - 2000. Clooney filmed 108 episodes of ER and after leaving the show he maintained a sucessfull career on the film. He was shocked after getting the part of Dr. Luka Kovac. Goran Visnjic said at one point how difficult it was for him to comprehand all the medical terms in English. He said how extremly popular ER was in Croatia at the time. - When my agent called, I asked him: "Are we talking about the same show"? I thought about it for half of a second and then I said: "Yes, ofcourse". _________________

While I agree this is sad--it is still heresay. Nothing official has come out of the GV camp to verify this is true. And my goodness, this article doesn't even state names of these so called friends. To me, its as reliable as an article in a rag mag.
I admit that all the signs are there that he will be leaving ER sooner rather than later. However, he has made onle ONE statement to my knowledge that this is the case. (That statement was quoted several times, but it's still the same one over and over.)
So, until I hear an announcement of some kind, I am going to enjoy the rest of the season and hope for a strong Luby in season 14.

I am feeling a bit more positive after watching his interview. He seemed to make a point of saying that he wasn't sure whether he would be leaving- he was the one who brought it up so I think maybe it is a way of making more ppl view the show (a will he or won't he situation) he has been talking bout leaving for a long time but he's chief guy now and he doesn't seem as sure....the uncertainty over not signing the contract shows that. Meaning hopefully he'll be around for season 14!

i think that if he was leaving he would say it now (it's about time if he was leaving at the end of this season), but didn't, and i think that, yes, they're trying to keep the viewers on the edge with his "leaving" situation...
