Is there the amount they can give the most? Or the 'usual' amount? Because amounts seem to be... Quite close in range. I mean, 2300, 4000...

Didn't Maura donate the same amount last year? I remember maggie posting something similar... on the fisrt link she seem to be one of the ones on the list to donate the least amount... $1000

Well she supports Obama now doesn't she? If John McCain wins then we're going to be in trouble There is no default as to which candidate a registered Democrat will vote for in the election. Many former Clinton supporters - as well as other Dems, Independents, and decline-to-state voters - have turned further away from Obama in past weeks due to his sudden departure from previously state positions. However, it's fairly irrelevant who she votes for - or even where she votes. Massachusetts, California, and New York all go blue in presidential elections, and it's very unlikely that they will change that trend now. Ninolino, to answer your question regarding campaign funds, there is a limit as to how much an individual can contribute to a political campaign or organization. It varies depending on the type of donation - for example, a contribution to a presidential candidate has a different cap from a contribution to a party (in this case, the Democratic party).

When we were in Boston this summer, Obama came to town for a fundraiser. They had a birthday celebration for him at the state house (?) two blocks from our hotel. Our hotel was surrounded by limos and the top 7 floors off limits to guests for the night. While my kiddos were complaining about not being able to get to the game room or candy machine on the 26th floor and the observation deck (loaded with SS snipers) on the top floor and my husband was pacing about our late dinner delivery (the driver was caught in the state house traffic) I saw on the news that 'tickets' to the event were running $1000 to $15,000 per person. They find ways to get around those contribution 'caps.' Since the play hadn't started rehearsals yet and I knew she was in NYC, I was watching TV to see if maybe Maura was in attendance with her parents or something. Nada word about it.
