My favorite Maura movie has to be Scotland P.A. i agree, she's absolutely brilliant in it. it was a great move for billy to put her in that role, i can't imagine a better pat macbeth.

Wish I could get the captioning. I have trouble getting past all those 'f' words. Sigh.

Which bits do you not understand? 'Cos I'd love to help out... sometimes, it can be a lot easier to hear someone when you already know what they're saying, lol.

Ooookay....so Netflix delivered 'Insomnia' yesterday and I just finished watching it. It was an okay police drama. Hilary Swank was sorely under used and Robin Williams was just totally out of his Robin Williams persona....which was awesome. I am not a huge Pacino fan and ordered it just so I could see Maura. Did anyone else get the idea that some of her scenes may have been cut?? She barely knows the guy...goes to his room about someone complaining about the noise and he dumps the entire cause of his problems in her lap...she listens... dispenses a little advice and then the next shot has her sound asleep - fully clothed and on top of the covers - on his bed. How very wierd is that? Did I miss something along the way?? What little she did do was awesome....as usual. She freaking OUT ACTED Pacino in every scene! I wonder if she took the part just to work with him or something???

mmm...she's said that she'll take certain parts just for the experience of working with different actors. she did "welcome to mooseport" even though she wasn't crazy about her character, because she wanted to try working with gene hackman. i respect that sort of broadening of horizons. aw, hell. i respect everything about that woman.

I could totally see her taking a part to work with someone. Honestly...Pacino, Hackman, Sir Hopkins.....and she holds her own with every one of them....not to mention Sally Field and James Woods among other ER guests. I wonder when we will hear that someone took a part just to act with HER?
