From Cinefaythe at TEex:
While running in the park, Banfield comes upon a distraught grandfather searching for his 3-year-old granddaughter in the icy lake. At the ER, they treat the child for hypothermia. But she deteriorates until Banfield discovers the child had ingested some of her grandfather's heart medication, which he kept in his pocket.
The incident triggers a series of flashbacks to 2002 where we learn more about the fate of Banfield's son. In the flashbacks, she and her husband Russell play in the park with 5-year-old Darryl, who begins to seize. Banfield is confident it is a febrile seizure. But in the ER, leukemia is discovered. In another flashback, the boy apparently dies. Russell is distraught, but Banfield keeps it all in.
Note that in a flashback scene, it looks like we will see Jerry. Also in the scene are ER staffers whose names are obviously missing from the text. In another spot, there is a sentence mentioning "Greene." So it looks like we might get a surprise visit in this episode from former cast members. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
In other scenes . . . Gates get some information from the Wounded Warriors' Project about the homeless vet he is treating. Andrew treats surgical patient Bertha, a 68-year-old woman who has a mass on her neck. But something seems to go wrong, and I am guessing from the text that Andrew doesn't present all the information about her complaints to Neela and Dubenko.

Rachel? (Most likely)

Anthony Edwards Scrubs Back in at ER
Look who ER dug up to celebrate its final season: Dr. Mark Greene, who died of a brain tumor in Hawaii back in 2002. Original cast member Anthony Edwards signed a deal Wednesday night to reprise his popular character for the Nov. 13 episode of the long-running NBC drama.
Dearly departed Mark will not be spooking Linda Cardellini (of Scooby Doo fame), but rather will be appearing in multiple flashback scenes to give insight into the past of Angela Bassett's character.
In the episode, Bassett's Cate Banfield enters County General Hospital's emergency room - but not in a doctor capacity. At her bedside is Edwards, who collected numerous awards for playing one of TV's all-time most compassionate docs.
Entitled "Heal Thyself," the episode is to shoot next week and was written by ER executive producer David Zabel, who will also direct. For its 15th and final season, the series hopes to bring back other familiar vets for one last hurrah, including Noah Wyle, who will return for four of the final episodes. - William Keck

In my dreams, Luka closes the doors...and he leans a little (revealing all his magnificence) to do it .
