Could be, I don't know the title. But it's a famous American song. I'll google it and try to listen to it somewhere Edit: Lol it's the one, found it here: www.kididdles.com/lyrics/y004.htmlI liked Maura's version more ;D Wish I could remember her lyrics. Thanks! Gonna stop talking about it here, we're getting of topic Don't oyu mean this one Martine: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDSSI2PO5jU ;D ;D ;D Oh... I have 19 epi to go and then I saw everything from NR, I don't wanna watch them bcoz I know that's the end then ;D I saw Bill Moves On 2 weeks ago or something, oh... it's so sad... But is Maura 'theather-crying' or really crying when Matthew read his letter from Bill?? It looks like she is crying for real, becoz of the look in her eyes. Suddenly she look up in the direction of Dave and I don't know if it's just me, but to me it's like that is not 'planned to do' Also how she said 'I'm sorry Matthew, I am...' That sounds not really 'studied in' or something. Or is it just me? Too bad Phil died.... I think he was sooo incredibly funny. One of my favourites is 'The Cane' with that donut on his cane, it was hilarious And how Maura is opening the bottle (And I like how Maura looks in this epi her hair is so cute & I love it when she wears a short skirt ) S1 and 2 were the most funniest seasons I think

Seasons 2 & 3 are my favorite, and I also love "The Cane" episode.
As for "Bill Moves On" I think the actors or producers have said in the past that all the crying in that final scene was not acting. I also have noticed that when they all stand up to burn the letters, you see Khandi put her arm around Maura and rub her back, I don't think that was scripted either.

Yeah, I remember reading or hearing something about that. I do think that the emotion was real. Remember that they had lost a friend, and they were all still dealing with it. I think what sealed it for me was the laughing through the tears...as an actress myself (strictly community theater), I can tell you it is extremely difficult to pull that off if it's not real. Now, I am not saying that Maura wouldn't be able to pull it off, but I just truly believe the tears and emotion are real in that episode. It truly is an amazing one to watch, and when I saw Maura crying I actually started crying myself.

I don't know why I haven't thought to post this yet, but if you get the Reelz channel, they're showing NewsRadio every night of the week at 7:00 & 7:30. Nothing better than randomly flipping through the channels and seeing Maura onscreen.

NICE! Well, I wanna have the DVD's from it, I downloaded all the season's about a year ago or something, but the size of watching screen is even smaller than YT :< But hey, at least I can see it I stretched time, coz I don't wanted it to end, now, 5 episodes to go.... Saw yesterday The Wedding it's so lovely how she looked! And one thing that won't outta my mind; "Ohhh Jòòòhnny........." ;D I can stretch it a little bit longer, and watched Primal Fear yesterday but what a good movie!! Aaron Stampler (Edward Norton) is AMAZING!!! I was thinking how old he would be, he looked so young, but he was almost 30 when he played in that movie!! And then.... it's the 22nd of Sept I have to say, I was ROFL in season 1 and 2 maybe 3 but then.... Yeh it's fun to see, but I didn't ROFL I still think it's such a shame Phil Hartman is dead... He's so funny, I think I would loved it to see him in some 'new stuff' Think I would follow what he was doing..

I haven't seen anything of info in this thread but I found some stuff from the old newsradio time I'll post it later though, it a bit too early now, I have to get *some* sleep. The whole night watching newsradio and the S5 bloopers awww Maura in the burgerbar w jimmy is SO cute! 'who was that?!' and the "sure i'll do F**** the 2 of you anytime!" And the 'so how's it hanging' that one was so sneaky lollll I loved Beth also with her magnetic handgloves too, the smash sound she makes in order that they would stick on it..!! XD Okay, I can't leave without posting something *cast picks for best music videos* As some know, the cast of NewsRadio did an hour-long special awhile back in which they picked their favourite music videos. I happen to have the list of which videos each cast member chose:
Phil Hartman - "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley Dave Foley - "Voices Carry" by Til Tuesday Maura Tierney - "Come on Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners Andy Dick - "Rock Me Amadeus" by Falco Joe Rogan - "Mr. Jones" by the Counting Crowes Khandi Alexander - "Stand Back" by Stevie Nicks Vicki Lewis - "Love Shack" by the B-52s Stephen Root - "Dancing in the Street" by Mick Jagger & David Bowie
Cast Pick: "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel And their names mean... NewsRadio creator Paul Simms was asked about the origins of each character's name. This was his response:
Dave Nelson: I named the character Dave because I wrote it with no one else but Dave Foley in mind. Nelson is my mother's maiden name. It wasn't until after we'd shot the pilot that someone -- many people, in fact -- pointed out that Dave Nelson was the name of a character on "Ozzie and Harriet" or something. Mr. Nelson was also a little monkey at Pippi Longstocking ;D
Bill McNeal: Like Dave, I wrote the part for Phil Hartman. I wanted something similar, but not identical to "Phil." "McNeal" is just something we came up with the first time we realized he needed a last name, and no two writers on the show spell it the same.
Lisa Miller: I just liked the name Lisa. This is so boring, had expected a little more thought behind the name
Jimmy James: Named after the first song on the Beastie Boys "Check Your Head" album.
Beth: After the KISS song. She has no last name, or at least that's what she tells people.
Catherine Duke: We wanted something regal-sounding.
Matthew Brock: This part, like Dave's and Bill's, was written for Andy Dick. I think my only reasoning with this name was that he seemed like the kind of guy who would insist on being called "Matthew" and not "Matt" -- much as he often calls Dave "David" on the show.
Joe Garrelli: Before we cast Joe Rogan, the character was called "Rick," which was loosely based on Drake, which was the name of a writer I worked with on "Larry Sanders" -- and who now works here at NewsRadio. I think after we cast Rogan, he was "Ted" for a day or two of rehearsal, and then we just decided "Joe" was easier.

Yep, you're so right about THE CANE... no other scene beats the one at the lunch table with the can opener, illarious. THE APARTMENT is also one of the best ones IMO.

Examiner Exclusive: Actor Dave Foley talks Coopers' Christmas by Joseph Airdo -Phoenix Movie Examiner November 18th, 2010 Dave Foley, one of the stars of the new movie "Cooper's Christmas," can relate to the yuletide dysfunction demonstrated by the family in the flick. ... When asked about a "News Radio" reunion, in reference to the television sitcom on which Foley starred alongside Stephen Root, Andy Dick, Joe Rogan, Maura Tierney and Vicki Lewis from 1995 to 1999, the actor admitted to being undoubtedly on board. "We're all still friends so I would love to get together with everybody and do something," Foley says. "I don't know what it would be and I don't know who would be interested making it but I think it would be a lot of fun." ... www.examiner.com/movie-in-phoenix/examiner-exclusive-actor-dave-foley-talks-coopers-christmas

Not Maura news, but I read last night where Andy Dick was arrested again a couple of nights ago at a restaurant in California for public intoxication. That guy just cannot keep it together.

Well, no surprise. I think Dave Foley said it´s amazing Andy is not arrested more often.
At least this time he looks better in the pic.
