Yes, actors move on... but that doesn't mean that I can't be sad about it. I mean, it's been a long time. And I should had quit the show long ago, but I didn't because I still liked Abby.

Maybe I'm wrong but... I bet that we are only going to see Joe when Luka picks up Abby at the hospital (he's on the back of the car or something) I also bet that (maybe) the final scene is Abby and Luka on the car, driving away from County and we get that view from above the car that we saw at the ending of the episodes "Skin" and "300 Patients"

I know there only characters and yes it only a TV show but whats wrong with us getting upset about it?? We've all watched these characters for so long and we all feel like we have a connection with them, so i think its natural that we get all emotional. I myself will be sad to see Abby and Luka go, they've kept me watching all these years. I remember that by the beginning of season 12, i starting to get a little bored with the show, but bringing these two characters back together made me enjoy the show again. So no doubt there will be a few tears, sorry......floods of tears!! but if you think getting upset about them is strange, what about skipping uni, so you can watch the episode because you have to be a work at 4pm and don't want to wait till 10pm to watch it!! not that i would do that but i agree with Abby about the ending. Thought that all along.

LARUE,
We have been friends for a very long time, but here I really don't understand your reaction.
OF COURSE, PEOPLE SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FICTION AND REALITY and ER is just a TV series.
But if most of us have been addicted to ER for so long , it's because of the emotion of some heartbreaking scenes where the actors ' skills made us cry.
I have cried my eyes out when MARK died, and in ALL IN THE FAMILY when LUCY was stabbed, I bawled like a baby in BLOODLINE, I couldn't breathe in THE LOST when LUKA was praying and I could go on and on....... PRATT's death moved me to tears . So did FRANK's prestation!
And I understand quite well that people will get emotional when ABBY is leaving after 8 years and like ALLIE, will bawl like a baby!
AND YES ABBY IS NOT MAURA.........and LIFE GOES ON !
But your post is quite schoolmarmish, my dear friend!
( maybe I am not your friend anymore! )

As I know myself I have to admit, I will cry... I am such cry-baby. But I am proud of it... But it doesn't mean that everyone has to cry We are individuals...but we should be careful what and how we say something. Just sayin' Tomorrow morning for me...yay!

All i would say to Larue is, whilst i understand that is your option that majority on this forum don't feel that way and will miss these characters that we have grown to adore so much. Like Zelda, there has been many episodes of ER that i have sobbed my heart out too. I still cry now when i see the episode where mark dies, it gets me everytime **wipe the tears rolling down her face** I just hope we all have the tissue at the ready, we're gonna need it!! Am just glad i watch it in the morning before i have applied my mascara However, It will be the last episode for awhile that i will really look forward to seeing.

Wow Larue.... I will probably cry when Abby leaves, and I won't let you make me feel bad or a lesser person for it. We develop emotional attachments to these characters, and it's nothing to be ashamed of.
How can you sit behind your computer screen and judge those of us who have a more emotional reaction? Is it really that different then when we get angry at certain characters?
Maura has been on the show for 8 wonderful years. If you can't handle a some posts by devoted fans saying how they cried at her last scenes then maybe you should simply stay away from this thread.

Can I admit that I was crying watching Friends during Monica and Chandler 's proposal, and also when Rachel said "I got off the plane". In fact I cried during the entire last episode, when I realized that I won't have anymore news of these 6 people... Same with Luby, it's diffiult to imagine that we'll never see them again together, involved in new stories...apart in our mind !! Even if we were disappointed by season 14 and less involved this past few months, it's gonna be very hard tomorrow to say goodbye forever Bless them, we perfectly know that Maura and Goran are still alive and living their lives quietly somewhere over the rainbow I wish them the best, but I will miss this couple sooo much

Can you guess that I lost patience with all of the postings about how hard everyone was boohooing when Pratt died?? This is a 'character' people. The actors move on..... What's wrong with that? There is enough people without empathy in this world. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with having empathy, whether it's something in real life, a movie scene or a book. Whether it is only fiction, it can effect people in different ways... You shouldn't humiliate people by passing a comment how they have expressed their feelings about Pratt dying... I found it sad because it was powerful and how it was set out. I still find Mark's death sad too, it was that song "Somewhere over the Rainbow" still triggers me... I am behind Marianne on this, sorry...

Lets calm down people (hope I wrote this right). Some cry some don´t. I will, coz she´s going away. As Maura said herself, can be tears of joy. Who would guess Abby, of all the characters - would have an ending as a whole. I wouldn´t bet a piece of my nails. As Maura said -again - they trow helicopters at very talented actors Now, who´s going to be the super angel and put the epy on youtube?

Now, who´s going to be the super angel and put the epy on youtube? Putting the WHOLE episode on You Tube is a risky business, they can delete your account or Warner Bros can kick your ass really bad of you don't remove it when they request to do so... But its up to anyone as their own risk... Full episode of Life after Death episode is no longer on You Tube...
