"Towards the end, Luka begs off going home because of his workload," what does this actually mean is he not going home because he doesnt want to and says he has to stay because of "work". or am i reading way to much into it. Also just a thought Maybe Neela is the one who ends up having a drink problem and not Abby it would be strange for 2 characters to have it but also it would be strange for the writers not to screw around with abby anymore. can't wait to see a girls night out it's been to long without an ep like that

Also...it would be interesting to see Abby helping Neela deal with a drinking problem, wouldn't it? I would LOVE to see TPTB go in that direction. They kind of set it up with Luka too. Remember the bar scene in "Man With No Name ". When Luka tells her she must miss the drinking and she responds with 'You would be a TERRIBLE sponsor....." I thought aww....she's done well for herself!

Awww, Joe's not sleeping....bless. Yeah....here we go with the 'Abby-angst'....I was curious and did a search. Not sleeping without being tired is a childhood symptom of bi-polar disorder. Sigh.

But Abby is dealing wih pedriatrician I think the baby might have a cold or something like that. Babies tend to not sleep when they have a cold, also he could be teething (depending on timing of this episode _ this show has a tendency of showing newborn babies and suddenly they look like 1 year olds already and thinking already that Abby stood months without working... ... ) babies also rarely sleep when this is happening. I don't think the show has enough time to show a child developing bipolar deases since this only siriously develops when they are like teenagers.

Speddoc over at the TV.com forum always posts very thorough and well-reasoned spoiler summaries, and she has a different take on the "Joe isn't sleeping" bit. Apparently it happens early in the episode, when Luka shows up to work looking worn out. Morris assumes it's because the baby isn't sleeping -- key word "assumes". Luka doesn't confirm or deny this. At the time the conversation takes place, Luka hasn't received the verdict. We already know he's stressed and not his usual self with all the trial business. Most likely, that's why he's worn out, and Morris is just clueless as usual. One thing Speddoc didn't mention was the waiting on the call from the pediatrician, so I have no idea on that. But even the infamous Doc Sharon admitted that the baby's probably not sick if Abby is hanging out with the girls and Luka is working late. As for all that Abby-angst that's supposedly coming later this season, I don't buy it. Considering the source, the use of qualitative phrases such as "seems like", and the fact that nothing about the way the season is shaping up thus far fits with that prediction, I say it's a load of you know what. There are people out there who would do just about anything to ruin others' enjoyment of the Luby story and fill people with dread about what's to come. Don't let them get to you.

Touche! I am truely a pessimist at heart...probably why I identify with Abby so wholeheartedly.

Hey guys as "ac" mentioned before Speddoc at Tv.com posted more details about this episode.
I really think in this episode things seem to be going a little better for Luka, since he's able to smile at Fank's joke!!! And it really looks like a very nice episode for Abby and Luka as a couple.

Thank you, Andie, for this info. It's not a summary, it's a very detailed episode. If SPEDDOC is lurking on our site, I want to congratulate her for her work . It must take a lot of time to be so accurate and UNBIASED, unlike some other Doc, on another board who is getting more and more vindicative.I'm always dumbstruck when I read this unending bashing. BACK TO TOPIC: the more I read the spoilers, the more I think that Abby is feeling at ease as a mom. She seems to be quite relaxed and happy with Luka, very loving and supportive . I can't imagine her " falling off the waggon" with only 6 episodes left before the huge break of the series.... But some would say I am a dumb and blind Luby fan, stuck in an idiotic dream with Luka and Abby.
