awww I am kinda disappointed with this episode!! The spoilers said Luka would say something about having "baby duty" which he didn't say...and the spoilers also said they would be watching joe sleep between them...which they didn't show that! Only cute thing was when they showed Abby with Joe in the stroller and Morris and Neela come by for like 1 second

I got my roommate hooked and we were def disappointed with the episode. The only good part was when they showed Abby and the baby. And for the previews for next week...they showed Abby and Luka kissing..then they showed Abby making this weird face. We were like...what? We had to rewind it like 4 times and pause...then we realized that it was Abby holding Joe with a little hood on! So cute. He's gotten so big...and this baby Joe looks like Abby!

ditto on the dissapointment. I really wanted to see Joe with both of them. I hope next week is better.
Is it me, or did it feel like this was the "lets pimp John Stamos" episode???

I liked the part with Morris singing in the car and I thought John Mahoney was good. Who played Neela's resident? he looked really familiar.

ok so, i have a feeling that the viewers may drop, this epi was the biggest disappointment, even though i love ER, they definitely need to focus a little more on Luka, Abby and Joe now, and not just one little clip.

OMG..this comes to confirm my biggest fear after the Lubby interactions in Graduation Day , Lubby is doomed trought this season...yet not iven a single scene of them as a family so we do not get used .The final history is about Abby and Joe without Luka involved.

yah I don't have any fears that luby won't be strong anymore. I think they were just plugging Gates/Stamos in this eppy (a mistake on tptb's part tho i think)
I didn't get to see the NBC promo (sounds really good!) but I saw the CTV one and next's weeks eppy looks much better that this one.

The situacion is so similar to what happened with Luka and Sam after their ILY in Damaged y read every spoiler and then the writers started to dissapoint with every episode after that (they cuted an impressive amount of the Luka and Sam scenes and the only one after that ILY was cold).I was dissapointed after the lubby interaction last week ( iven the ILY was COLD) and now I am fearing the worst before the end of the season.

Gee, jolly, golly-whiz, did anyone catch John Stamos' debut? ER's created another angst-ridden, know-it-all macho himbette for ladies to drool over (like we didn't get enough of that with Benton, Doug, Ray and goodness knows who else); and gosh, isn't he the keenest doc you've ever saw?
That trademark deer-in-headlights stare Johnny-boy (Stamos...not even bothering to remember the character's name) does so well nearly knocked me block off. I was damn-near on the floor, about to keel-over with a serious fit of the giggles, I tell yah. And when he stood dumb-founded at Pratt's very relevent and angry outburst, I all but passed out (or if you guys wanna get technical, I took a brief nap). Don't me get wrong, I heart Pratt but I can't abide by this new dude.
So on a scale from 1 to 10, Stamos' debut rated 25 on the suck'O meter.
Now that I've got that off me chest, lets move on to other pleasantries, shall we.
Morris knocked it out of the park with his rendition of...wait a sec...what the heck was he singing again? Whatever it was, he sounded top-notch. Like a bonafide professional songster and all. I was totally feelin' him in this eppy. In fact, besides Luka, Abby, and Weaver, he's quickly becoming one of my ER favs. He just makes me smile.
Abby and Joe were a sight for sore eyes. But it took a total of 39 bloody-arsse minutes to catch the old girl with her barn in arms. Oh yes, Morris was ever the delightful one and Neela was superb but would it hurt to give us a little luby time (Luke, Abby, Joe). Must I kiss a few wrinkly butt-cheeks (and I'm talking 'bout the producers) to get in some Luby time? Geeze.
And this might be strange but Morris and Neela are...how do I say this delicately...kinda cute together. She's as serious as heart-attack and he's a quirky buggah. I'd have loads of fun watching 'em hit-it-off and actually fall for each other. But....shrug....these blasted depressing producers have something else in mind.

I've haven't even downloaded this episode yet and am already dissappointed. No Luby!! :-[apart from the park scene! Surely we should have had a Luby scene with the baby, at home. Because so far its only been scenes at the hospital and the end of graduation day they weren't together either. So many important Luby baby moments were not seeing! i was really counting on seeing Luby and baby together for the first time when is this going to happen?

OMG..this comes to confirm my biggest fear after the Lubby interactions in Graduation Day , Lubby is doomed trought this season...yet not iven a single scene of them as a family so we do not get used .The final history is about Abby and Joe without Luka involved. Carito: Noooooo, Luby isn't doomed (don't be so negative) and as i posted in other forum, the interactions in Graduation Day were normal of a couple whose newborn is in the NICU and ot's gonna die. Our Luby have gave a huge step forward. Let me explain; last season, they had no idea what they where for each other (Abby was saying it all the time), now they know they're a family (when Abby said it in GDay, it surprised me) and then later she finally said Luka, that she loved him. (That was huge step for her) and then Luka said happily that he would take the love...So that means he understands her and is willing to be patient..not like when they 1st dated... On the other hand, yeah I beleive there was some tension in some scenes, but I think it was because they didn't know if they were gonna lose the baby. Many couples would have reacted the way they did in these agonizing situation. I mean, it's your little baby's life the one that is in game, you take a wrong decision and that's it. Abby like any mother would have done in these situations, was trying to protect her baby, (the only one she was going to be able to have) and Luka was trying to do the same and I must say they walked through this whole situation, better than I thought they would. Besides, ER is not just about LUBY (although I wish it was They have gave us a LOT of Luby in S12 and these 2 past chapters...so I think the TPTB wanna explore other characters, too, that's why we didn't get too much Luby tonight.

i think it was wise of TPTB to play down abby and luka this episode. the first two episodes of the season almost exclusively revolved around them, and i'm sure the writers are being cautious not to rely too much on them for the storyline. we have to remember, ER is a medical show, first and foremost, and this episode brought us back to that. i think the medical part of the show this week was very well done, especially by the guest star who played the transgendered partner of the patient. i don't know his name.
that said, i think it's becoming apparent all too soon that john stamos is a major detrement to the show. the last scene, especially, where he was with some woman, was the best example of that. it wasn't necessary, and it detracted from the rest of the episode. they're using him as eye candy, and it's a mistake, in my opinion.
the preview for next week...morris as a suspected child molester? that's going too far. i'm not comfortable with all the soap opera twists going on here, and i'm worried if they don't turn things around, the show may not last. i'd hate to see that happen when maura and goran, along with laura innes and parminder, are doing such fantastic work. i hate to say this, i really do, but i must...i think, at this moment in time, the only foreseeable way of saving the show from the wreckage of john stamos and john leguizamo is to *god i hate myself right now* bring noah wyle back as an attending. i know. it sounds bad. but the medical portion of the show could be really brought back up to standard if he breathed some life into it, and he's a familiar face that i think viewers would respond well to. and they're not stupid. they wouldn't bring him in only to mess with luby. so that's my two cents. i'm saddened right now, not because i didn't get my fill of luby (i didn't, but my nerves are sort of glad for the rest) but because i'm genuinely disappointed by the turn the show has taken. i don't think maura and goran can do it alone, it's an ensemble-based show and it needs a strong cast, not just a few people.
