i found Gates a lot more tolerable when he was working with Abby. With Pratt, it's like they're competing to see who;s the better doctor, and with the other interns he shows off and with Neela...hahaha well he's got things on his mind other than patient care when he's around her...So I think if Gates is going to be around, I'd hope he's be working more with Abby...seems less of a "know it all", they work well as a team.

For the first time I actually liked one thing Sam said : "She's auditioning for American Idol" So Joe, is Simon? If Joe sleeps, she's through to Hollywood if he doesn't she is not good enough?!!!

I liked the episode (finally saw it after 10 hours downloading!) I did miss the fast pace style of ER that it usually has, this episode was a lot slower but I loved that Abby was back at work, I miss her when she isn't in the ER, probably because she has been one of the longest serving characters that it feels too new and un-ERish when she isn't there. Loved her singing scene, especially the way she danced while she sang! And she sounded ok!!! A lot better than Afternoon Delight, but Carter was next to her when she sang that, that is enough to put anyone off The Ames and Kovac scenes were ok, although I felt for Ames to say the truth, three days in the ER is terrible and while I realise they are overworked and understaffed that was just unacceptable, made NZs public health system look like Paradise! AND...Gates didn't bug the hell out of me, he was fine in this one, but I did miss my Morris fix

Did anyone else notice that they have the actors names on the screen before the main music (if you can call it that) rather than after them and that Goran's and Maura's names came on straight after each other with a long break before the others? Then all the non regular cast were listed after the opening music...did that make sence? And a friend pointed out half the time Abby was wearing earings and half the time she wasn't, it is expecially noticable at the begining by admit she has none on then when she and Gates are examining the old man she has them on... Not tat any of that is important I just thought it was interesting

I thought that this was a really good episode, i liked how Abby and Gates connected, i think am slowly warming up to him. But yet again i realise that we have been robbed of other cute baby moment, like the scene from STL, where the spolier said that Abby and Luka watch baby joe sleeping, what happened to the scene where Abby says something like 'bye baby, i love you' when she left for work. That well teach me that no good comes from reading spoilers!! they always get my hopes up

i was spoiler free, but i read them afterwards, and the scene where Abby and Luka leave Joe with Miriam was definitely cut. I thought the scene with Abby going to the door was cut very quickly into the car scene. Now I know why.

A word about their lullaby....I read spoilers so I was expecting the hear her sing it in this episode. I was NOT expecting to hear Luka sing it last week. The choice has been trashed on other boards but I feel that it was a very telling moment about their entire relationship. Abby has long been established as the alternative rock fan ( 'that 'noise' is Abby's' per Maggie to Carter)....while Luka has been teased about his pop preferences (Celine, Jewel...). The fact that Luka sang the Clash tune last week was an indication that he has listened to Abby sing it to Joe IMO. Aww...sweet.

Well, not necessarily that she's sung it to Joe (she looked puzzled, and then amused, when she heard him sing it) but at least that he's heard a song she likes. I think it's a very nice little joke between them and a nice point of continuity. And, you know, Joe Strummer (RIP) ...

Was it just me or the scene with Abby and Pratt in the locker room, should Abby have not had a scare on her tummy from the c-section?

I was watching this one for the 100th time last nite and I just love the part in the car where Luka is all stressing and says "they could take a dip in their income" or something like that, I just loved how he acknowledged that it was their income instead of my income

She actually noticed another one, at about 13.40 Crenshaw is putting his glove on just before that guy goes up in flames and the glove goes on all wonky yet they kept filming...half his fingers were not in the right finger of the glove
