I too thought it was an amazing episode. I really liked Kerry's goodbyes with Abby and Luke a lot, they were so sweet. And since she said goodbye to Ray, I'm glad she asked about Pratt because she's had more of a history with him.
I hope they don't just end the Eddie/Abby storyline there. I want to see how Luka supports Abby but it seems that that might be put on hold until Ames is finished with.
As soon as they showed Abby coming into the apartment, I knew Ames was going to be in it. NBC had Forest Whitaker's name in the description and he was in the credits, so when he wasn't in the episode at all I knew he would be in the last scene, and then they showed the apartment and I knew he would be on the couch. I can't wait to see how it all finishes.
And it looks like this was the episode that was going to be the cliffhanger to hold us until April before they took away the hiatus. THANK GOD! Because ER is just too good and makes you want too see what happens next, a la 21 Guns. I'm glad it will be resolved in 3 weeks, not 3 months!!

The farewell scenes between Kerry, Luka and Abby, for me, felt like a trip down memory lane, :-[when Kerry spoke about Carter and Luka of his first day in the ER. In a weird way a kinda got a glimpse of what it would be like if ER was to end (not that it is!!!).

I love this episode, all the storylines were so interesting. Loved how Kerry left her goodbyes, the scene between Luka and Kerry was so sweet. More than that I loved her goodbye to Abby. I had tears in my eyes, it was so touching. The last scene with Ames was scary, and of course dramatic. I knew he was there, in the room, and when I saw him, I was like 'omg'. I really wanna see what will happen, and between Eddie/Abby, also. I can't believe I have to wait 3 weeks.

Totally wasn't expecting Ames to be in the apartment so jumped...was a great ending! Two big Abby storeylines to come yeeeah! Rest of the episode had bit too much arguing for me...everyone seemed to be bickering and didn't enjoy watching, cept Sam was funny when in the 1st Luby argument scene. I really want to speculate but I don't want to be spoiled in the spoilers forum....so frustrating! Can't wait!

I thought it was an AWESOME episode, that kid of Sam's though is freaking me out!!!! I still can't believe the ending and we have to wait 3 weeks!! OMG, i'm not sure I can Oh My Gawd. That was awesome. Kerry's farewell to Abby and Luka was heartwarming. I choked up when Luka wrapped his arms around her and lifted her in the air; and Abby's farewell was heartwrenching. Then came Abby's interest in this older guy, with the lung condition. Admittedly, I was a little nervous. But after the shocking discover of who he really was, I was like, "Oh, so that's the big mystery. Okay." And I love watching a jealous Luka look after Abby with questioning longing. He never did like to share. But the best part came when Abby walked through her door, carrying a collicky Joe in her arms. What's so startling about that scene was, you're so distracted by Joe's cries and Abby on the phone...that you almost miss that flash of Ammes sitting in the armchair (when abby goes to set her bag down). When I mean, I nearly jumped out of my skin. Wasn't even sure I was seeing it right. But anyway, it was an awesome eppy. All around.

Now, guys, saw the epi this morning and am trying not to repeat stupidly all your feedbacks! I enjoyed jealous Luka ( hehehehe! , guys, do you remember when in the past when Carter was running after Abby like a puppy, she said once that Luka was NEVER jealous, and had been surprised at the time by his cool attitude when Carter took Abby to Gamma's charity ball, without batting an eye! ;D) You have CHANGED, haven't you, Luka boy? I was glued on the screen during Kerry's good byes. I was used to not seeing her much since season 10, but I realize I'll miss her much more than I thought! Especially Season 13 Kerry, more relaxed, more friendly, drinking with the gang at Ikes's. Maura was EXCEPTIONNAL during her scene with Kerry. So few words, so much emotion and love!! You have said it all! And I was moved to tears when Luka thanks her for " HIRING him such a long time ago! His " you saved my life" was heartbreaking and his smile to Kerry was so sweet... The " come here, you big Croat " is so typical of shy people who don't know what to do to express their feelings. Tiny Kerry being lifted up in Luka's arms and her sincere tears were well shot. Simple, not overdramatic, so very moving! I wanted to say that I really liked the reference to CARTER ( hey, yes, don't look at me like I'm a nutter...The fact that he cried like a baby was so MORE NORMAL that his awful send off in TSMGO, when TPTB ruined his departure after 10 years at County. Totally loved when Abby is screaming at Eddie to go away... Everybody would have had the same reaction , guys, please! NOW, PLEASE, GUYS, TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK : 1) I can't believe that Eddie spoke to Maggie and that she was screaming at him at the time! When was it ? 3 YEARS AGO!!!! Do you really think that Maggie would have protected Abby 3 years ago...when the relationship mother-daughter was inexistant? WEIRD! And Eddie knows probably that he is in worse physical condition than he acknowledges!!! Do you think it's my over active imagination which makes me think that, out of the blue, he decides to visit his daughter in Chicago when he has a wife and stepdaughters in TEXAS ? WHY NOW?? Maybe it's very simple: he knows he is gravely ill, he 's gonna die soon, ( problems with his lungs and not enough oxygen in his blood ), and wants to see Abby to apologize for being a crappy father and needs to tell her he loved her in spite of everything!!! And sorry, I know it's too long, please don't snore yet, gimme a couple of minutes: 2) WHAT THE HELL DOES AMES HOLD IN HIS HAND WHILE SITTING ON THE COUCH??? It really bugs me! It's not a gun, not a cellphone. SPEDDOC on TV.Com thinks it is maybe the TV remote? Very smart idea, but can you imagine creepy Ames watching TV while waiting for Abby to come home? Just a little conclusion ( I promise, VERY SHORT! ) Abby hugging Joe tightly against her was the most heartwrenching moment of the whole eppy. These 3 weeks will be very looooong! But guys, we're all ready for unending discussions! MERCI BEAUCOUP for your patience! The I-don't-know-how-I-can-shut-up Frenchie loves you all, guys ,and sends you big hugs from Paris (2.20 am! )

no that was very thought provoking! at 1st I thought it wasjust a remote (watching tv whilst bored at waiting!) but they def highlighted showing it an clearly showed him holding it up. Didn't look like a gun though. Methinks gonna have to be important though cos there will have to be something for him to threaten Abby with, otherwise she would just run out the door! I like the way TPTB held the Ames storyline off for a while so wasn't expecting his return even more! Eddie is defo iller then he made out cos didnt seem shocked by his results. Hopefully they'll have resolution before the end. And then abby will be at one with all members of her family!

Hmm I sorta did wonder that about Eddie when she gave him his results and he said he didn't care about his health, he seemed a bit carefree about the whole thing like he knew already...didn't add up and he has known where she was for what was it 3 years? So maybe the only reason he has built up the courage to see her is he knows he is dying...guess we will have to wait and see...I somehow think this will run for a while and the next episode will be all about Ames...which will be a good thing the Eddie story needs time to develop.

WEIRD! I thought that was weird that Maggie didn't tell Abby since they were on good speaking terms then (circa S10), but since she did yell at Eddie, maybe she wanted to protect Abby. She's said that before in past episodes, I think. Also, it made sense that Eddie thought she was a nurse, cuz Maggie didn't know Abby became a doctor until she had already graduated and that was less than 3 years ago. So when she spoke to Eddie, she thought Abby was a nurse still. 2) WHAT THE HELL DOES AMES HOLD IN HIS HAND WHILE SITTING ON THE COUCH??? It really bugs me! It's not a gun, not a cellphone. SPEDDOC on TV.Com thinks it is maybe the TV remote? Very smart idea, but can you imagine creepy Ames watching TV while waiting for Abby to come home? Ames is holding a picture in a black frame. I don't know who its of, that will probably be revealed later, but it is a picture. When Abby turns around and she gasps, you can see the frame outline in Ames' hand. It took me like 10 viewings to notice it since I was focused on Abby. And then in the reverse shot it looks more like a tv remote, but its a picture frame.

Like all of you, i really love this episode. Well, it's not Bloodline, but still, much better than the "Breach of Trust" ! Even if we still have Luka and Abby fighting, fighting, again and again !
I love very much seeing Luka jealous, for the first time of Luby history ! And i can understand why he was behaving like this. The last time he let Abby the "freedom" to talk and to be close with a guy (you know who i'm talking about!!!!), well we all see what has happened. Then, i understand why he is so jealous of a 60 year-old guy with a long disease !
I don't like seeing Luka and Abby fighting again in trauma room, especially in front of their collegues. Ok, it's hard to let all their couple issues at home, but they have to know how to balance their personnal et professionnal life. Thay can argue, but not when they are working, and not in front of their collegues. But i understand why they are mad at each other. Abby is mad coz Luka is annoying with his "you give so much attention to a guy you've met in a bar" comment. Luka is mad because Abby is keeping a secret and gave extra-attention to an unknown male patient. But still...
I don't stand Eddie story about he was talking Maggie, like you zelda. And i would like to know why he goes looking for Abby now, and not sooner ! A huge storyline for Abby in the second half of the season. Hope that they will not make Eddie dying and just want to see Abby because he is going to die.
Ames, well, i knew that was coming. I knew we would see him in the last secondes of the episode considering this one should have been the one before hiatus. And even if i knew it, it was scaring to see him in the dark, calmly watching TV, just waiting for Luka ! I love the way how Abby held her son when she saw Ames, a mum gesture, like to protect him. And even if i hate Ames and all the mess he's causing, well, i really thank him to call Luka Abby's husband. Well, after "my wife" from Luka, we have "your husband" now. All those references about their marital status, well, if we don't have them officially be, i will be disappointed !
For the rest, i really love the 3 "goodbyes" from Kerry, especially with Abby and of course Luka. It was very touching scenes. Hope that Luka will "hold" his promise to Kerry, that he will take care of the ER for her. In wishful thinking state like i am, hope that Goran will still be around the next season, to take care of this place for Kerry ! But what do i know ?
Sam, Alex, Ben: well i still really don't care about them. As long as they keep Sam et Alex miles far away from Luka, i'm happy with it ! But Alex is the most "as...." kid i've ever seen in my life ! And i can't stand the one who plays Alex anymore !
Same remarks for the quadruple Meg Gates Neela Ray. This story becomes more and more annoying !
Well, that's all i remember from this episode. We go to 3 week hiatus with this huge cliff about Luka, Abby and Joe. It's gonna be a long wait, but we've survived after 21 guns, so....
