I was just watching "if Not Now" and it is clear that they are on the first floor there, when we clearly know that Abby's apartment was never on the first floor. And let's not forget that Neela takes over Abby's apartment when Abby moves in the Luka (Season 12/13/14), and in those episodes, it is also upstairs! Meaning: You first have to go 2 stairs down when you enter the apartment, and then you go upstairs again. That's why we see Abby coming down the stairs in season 8. Luka's apartment is the one where you have to step down to enter it, and then it has a second floor. Abby's apartment building has stairs that lead up to the entrance (where there have been several scenes over the past seasons). Her apartment is on the second floor I believe, but when they do a window shot, its on the first.

So I am watching "Body and Soul" right now, and it's the scene where they flash back 1 year to Abby in the ER with Nate Lennox. I don't know if I ever realized she was wearing a wig in this part. They were trying to make her hair look like it did in season 10/11 (brown with highlights) but they failed miserably. It looks nothing like any style Maura or Abby ever had. I always wondered why they would do that?

;D I didn't like it either, and I can't remember Abby looking like that at any time.

My thoughts exactly I could see something in his face...you know how he's trying to convince himself...he wanted to be with him... And he lied to look better, that he was there. He sounded bitter...he didn't want to say he wasn't there, 'cause he felt ashamed..sorry I am rambling...apricot liqueur from yesterday is talking from me That's how I interpreted it as well. And know that this post doesn't contribute anything to the topic, but have to say, very interesting to read all the questions, answers & discussion, makes me want to watch all those episodes again. I was always a reader of the spoilers and the sides with the lines and everything, and I remember reading about this very conundrum somewhere. I remember because I read that Luka told Walter that he was with his father because he wanted the job and didn't want him to know he wasn't actually there when his father died. But when I watched the show, they didn't cover that issue at all, so I wondered if people would be confused. I think that could have been clearer. As far as the apartment thing goes, I never realized until I read these posts how many discrepancies there were regarding Abby's apartment, but there totally were! My guess is sometimes they filmed outside in Chicago, and sometimes in LA, and not always at the same places in either city. They probably figured no one would pay that much attention, but they didn't count on us!

Did the name of Luka's mom appeared on the series? His age didn't either, did it?

Question -- I haven't seen many of the episodes past season 12, so I was wondering if there was a specific moment that Neela finds out about Abby being an alcoholic?
Edited to add: I know there was a rooftop scene where Neela asks why they were drinking non-alcoholic champagne or something, and Abby replies Weaver knew she didn't drink.

I don't recall a specific moment where Neela found out. She was concerned about Abby driving in "Blackout" but they never made it seem like she realized Abby shouldn't be drinking at all. But then in "300 Patients" she did seem aware that Abby shouldn't be drinking. Unfortunately, I think it was just an example of some of the bad/inconsistent writing in Season 14.

Aw. Okay. Thank you. They had such an interesting camaraderie, I was just assuming they'd have Abby tell her the whole story. Or that she'd find out similarly to the way Susan did about Abby's drinking. Too bad. Thanks for the answer.

One of my burning questions was always whether or not Abby drove herself to Moretti's. I know she told Neela she wasn't driving that night, but then when she tries to rush out of Moretti's apartment, he tells her she shouldn't be driving.

Since Moretti's telling her she shouldn't be driving, I think she drove herself to Moretti's. One of the many scenes we never got to see... There are always a lot of scenes which we never got to see, but I wished we could see what happened in the 'invisible scenes', especially the Abby/Luka story line... I always wished there would be an Abby/Luka movie!

I know, there was so much more we should have seen. I always thought it was absolutely criminal that we never got to see Luka's reaction to finding out Abby was pregnant. After what he went through with his other kids, I think we deserved more than just him staring at her in disbelief.

When that episode aired, I couldn't wait for the next one to find out what his reaction was. But they completely skipped it and moved on to her not being sure about having it! I was quite disappointed.

I know, I couldn't believe they just glossed it over. I mean, I was definitely an Abby fan first and foremost, so I was thrilled they spent so much time showing *her* feelings about the pregnancy, but I definitely think we got cheated out of a real exploration of Luka's feelings. I could go on and on with my list of things I felt like we got cheated out of with Luby. I know we got our happy ending, but I'm greedy, I wanted so much more LOL

Not that I mind... haha
