Thanks Chrisla for sharing, glad you got to met her!!
Am going to see the play in NY, and here in England we have to go to the stage door to meet the actors. Is it the same over here?

I haven't checked it out myself so I don't know how accurate this is, but a friend of mine told me that the theater in NY is actually on the second floor of the Arts Center building, so I'm curious how the "stage door" situation is going to work there. Maybe the actors come out into the lobby afterwards instead of a stage door proper. There's a picture of the building here: www.bacnyc.org/index.php/about

The theater was upstairs and when the actors exited, they came out into the lobby. That's where I met Maura for the first time and had my photo taken with her.

That is really great that you went back and got to me Maura this time Chris.
Martine, if there is a library near the hotel, you could access a computer there, or like you said the internet cafes. The hotel may even have a computer lab.

I forgot, it is usually not allowed to take pictures inside the theater. I think they always mention that before the performance starts. I guess outside, in the lobby or the so called stage door where the actors meet the crowd, it is OK.

I'm glad I went back because I apparently was starstruck the first time, and really didn't pay much attention to the play. Its amazing how you notice different things the second time around. And how you don't notice other things.. Like the costume change.. I barely noticed it. But it was still a crazy, out-there kinda play. To answer a few questions... -Yes, I took a picture in the theater. I knew I would get scolded for it, but I waited until the play was over, and I really didn't care if someone got mad. I was much more comfortable with the crowd that night than the first time. The first crowd intimidated me. They would have looked down on me for taking a pic and at the man who fell asleep. -The actors exit into the lobby after the show. Not too many people were waiting that night. The actors came out pretty quickly and left just as fast. Maura seemed in a rush as well, but I actually didn't see her leave. I saw her talk to everyone who stopped her, but then she just disappeared. -I didn't take any pictures in the lobby because I was there by myself and everyone left so fast. I have to say, its not fun going by yourself. I envy those going with another fan. I'm much more fearless when I have someone by my side who is as crazed as I am. If I am going to stand out in a crowd, I want someone standing next to me. If nothing else, my partner in crime could at least take a picture of me with the actors. If I ever go see Maura again, I will not go alone. I didn't realize Maura had so many fans outside of the US, until I started reading this board. I know many of you wish you could see the play yourself, but since you can't, may I suggest sending her a letter addressed to the theater in New York. I'm sure she would appreciate knowing so many of you were thinking of her from wherever you are.

I admire you for even having the courage to go up to her LOL. I know I'm going to have to do that myself, but just the thought of it kind of terrifies me. I don't have a problem meeting actors who aren't my favorites, but with Maura I know I'm going to be a nervous, starstruck mess. LOL

What a great experience you had! Even if you didn't take a photo with Maura, it sounds like you had an amazing time, and something to always remember. Very happy for you!
