Thanks guys, new update!! ;DChapter 9 "Mom," Luke said as he walked into the kitchen. Abby turned and looked at her son and smiled. He had been working at the hospital all morning as a volunteer and had just gotten in. Luke, while not really ever wanting to become a doctor, really enjoyed spending his time volunteering at the hospital and other places. Luke had definitely gotten her compassionate heart. "Hey baby," Abby said as she poured the batter into the pan. "How was working at the hospital?" "Eh, it was okay," He told her as he put his finger in the batter and then licked his finger. Abby swiped at his hand. "Luke!" She scolded. "Don't put your hands in the pan! I would have let you lick the bowl, plus there are already made brownies on the counter." Luke's eyes gazed over the counter that had three pans of brownies already made. And he watched as his mother placed the new pan in the oven, before beginning on another batch of brownies. He eyed his mother as she broke an egg and let it run into the bowl in front of her. "Mom?" Luke began cautiously, "what's up?" "What are you talking about?" Abby asked her son as she began pilling the ingredients into the bowl and mixing them. "I'm just baking. Everyone loves brownies. Plus I have to make some with peanuts, some with almonds, some with chocolate chips, and some plain, because all my kids like them differently," Abby told her son with a bright smile. "Uh huh," Luke said unbelievingly, but decided not to press it any further. Instead, he pulled out a plate from the cabinet and cut himself an almond brownie and sat at the island where his mother was making more brownies. "So tell me about this Adam that Lexy is all gaa-gaa over." "Ugh, he's a player mom, he'll break her heart. And he's a total as..." Abby's eyes rose and Luke quickly changed his wording, "I mean he's a total jerk. I have no idea what Lexy sees in him." "Yeah, I don't know," Abby shrugged. She smiled at the boy in front of her. He really was wonderful. He knew that Jake was his biological father, but in all honesty Luka was his father. However, at times he was so Jake like, that it was scary. He and Lexy had a great relationship, and Abby sometimes considered them to be more like friends and less like siblings. But Luke always remembered that Lexy was his little sister and he wasn't about to let anyone ever hurt her. "Alright, I promised Lily that I would help her with some colouring project," Luke told his mother as he finished up his brownie and placed his plate into the sink. Before heading out the door he turned to his mother, "Are you sure that you are okay?" "Yes, I'm fine."

New update!.... ;DChapter 10 "Hey sweet baby," Abby said with a genuine smile as Lana pulled up next to her mother and began helping her in the kitchen. Lana was truly her angel and saving grace. Lana never caused any problems whatsoever. Her light brown locks were tucked gently behind her ears and she lightly pushed the middle of her glasses to keep them from falling down her nose. Just the right number of freckles covered her nose and when she laughed she sounded just like Abby. However, every other expression that she made was like her father. She looked so much like him. "Mommy?" Lana questioned as she pulled a handful of chocolate chips out of the bag and began munching on them. Lana's favourite snack was chocolate chips. She could practically live off of them. "Yes, Lana?" "I want to know how to be nice to Daniel, but not make him think that I'm his girlfriend," Lana told her mother. "He is always calling me his girlfriend, and I don't want to hurt his feelings, but I don't like him like that, you know?" Abby nodded. Daniel Carter was definitely a mini John. He had his father's hair and his father's ways, and ever since he could talk, he had considered Lana his girlfriend. But, Lana didn't see him that way. She was only eight, almost nine, dating really wasn't something that she thought about. Instead, she thought about horses, she loved horses. "Hum, that is a predicament, isn't it?" "Yes, it is," Lana stated slowly, "I just don't want to hurt his feelings. What should I do mommy?" "Well, you should tell him that you want to be friends, and that right now you are too young for a boyfriend, because your mommy, no make that your daddy, said so." Abby told her young daughter as she pushed back Lana's hair off of her face and kissed her on the forehead. "Okay?" "Okay mommy." "Mooommmy," Lily sang as she plopped onto the couch next to her mother. Abby had just finished making brownies and was watching the cooking channel on television. "Yes, sass?" Abby asked Lily, whose nickname was Sassy, because she was incredibly so. "Well, the toilet won't flush," Lily told her mother with a shake of her head and serious eyes. "Lily," Abby said with questioning lacing her voice, "why won't the toilet flush?" "Just let me explain," Lily said to her mother as she placed out one finger to tell her mother to wait for just a moment before asking her anymore questions. "Okay," Abby stated hesitantly. She knew Lily, this could be interesting. "Well," Lily began as she took a deep breath and brushed back her untamed locks, that she clearly hadn't brushed that morning. But it fit her mix-matched outfit. Abby made a note to herself, place out outfits and brush for Lily the night before. "Okay, you see, I like Harry. I think he's cute." Got interrupted, will post the rest of the update in a while!!

Chapter 11 Abby rolled her eyes. Lily was just five, and still in preschool, like she knew anything about love. Harry was Kelly and Jake's five year old son that was born just after they adopted their daughter, May. "But, Lee said that that was weird and that I couldn't think that Harry was cute! Because, he said, that Harry was Luke's brother so that means that I can't like Harry because it would be like dating Luke...and that IS gross. And then he kept calling me weirdo! Lee is so mean!" Lily rambled. "Okay, you're right that isn't really nice of Lee, but what does that have to do with the toilet?" Abby questioned Lily. Lily gave her mother a shy smile as she looked up to the ceiling and began tapping her nose with the tip of her index finger. "Lily..." Abby scolded. "What happened to the toilet?" "You know Lee's paper about behaviour?" Lily said carefully as her mother's eyes widened. "You mean the paper Lee spent all night writing and missed out on the movies because it had to be five pages, hand-written?" "Um, yeah..." "Lily Kovac, what did you do to his paper?" Abby asked her daughter, as she tried to keep her voice from screaming. "I kind of tore it up and tried to flush it down the toilet." "WHAT?!" "MOM!" Lee screamed from the upstairs. "MOMMY!" Abby's eyes darted to Lily and Lily sank down in the sofa. "You always say that I should stand up for myself," Lily offered as an excuse. "I'll deal with you later," Abby told Lily as she rushed upstairs. When Abby reached the bathroom, she found Lee in tears. Her little boy rarely cried, so when he did, it broke her heart. She sat next to him on the bathroom floor and brushed the tears off of his face. His face was the perfect mixture of her and his father. However, he was his father through and through, which got him in trouble often. He liked to get into things that he shouldn't and one day, Abby feared that he might become a player like his father once had been. But, if his father was any example to him, maybe he would become the best man ever too. "She ruined all my work," Lee cried as he looked into the toilet. "Now what am I going to do, mom?" Abby sighed. "Let's see, I will write a letter to the teacher and explain what happened. Don't worry about it, baby. I'll even put some of it into a plastic bag and let them see it to believe it." "Oh okay," he whispered. "But Lily shouldn't have done this!" "You're right, she shouldn't have, and I am going to deal with her. But, please don't taunt your little sister..." Lee opened his mouth to say that he hadn't, but Abby gave him a disbelieving stare before he could and he shut his mouth. "I know what you told her about Harry. Yes, you're right about him being Luke's half-brother, but Lily's five, she can think he's cute. Plus, she's your little sister, you should look after her, not taunt her, understand?" "I guess so," Lee mumbled. "Okay, Stinker, why don't you go play, I'm going to try and clean this up," Abby told her son. Lee rushed out of the bathroom and toward his room. Abby began picking out the pieces of paper, but it made her sick to her stomach, so nausea hit her strongly and she had to heave into the toilet. "Gross," Abby muttered to herself. "Do you see Leah?" Abby asked her stomach, "Do you see what mess you are about to join?" Abby covered her mouth quickly when she realized that she had used Luka's name for the baby. Then she placed her hand over her belly and whispered, "Don't tell your father."

New chapter.... ;DChapter 12 One and a Half Months LaterAbby was twelve weeks along, or if you put it into months she had just hit the 3rd month. And so, now Luka was allowed to tell everyone about the baby. She had made him promise, swear on his life, not to tell anyone, not even the kids, before this time. It had been hard for them to keep this from their kids. They were a close nit family, and the children had definitely noticed differences with their parents and their behaviours, especially their mother's. Plus, Abby wasn't the best liar on the Earth, and all of her children were highly suspicious that something was up. They just didn't know what was up. Abby had preferred it this way. She needed time to adjust to the fact that she was becoming a mother, yet again. In no way, however, did she feel adjusted, even after having 6 weeks to try and get herself used to the fact that she was pregnant. This hadn't been the plan, and she didn't know where she could place the blame. She couldn't place it on the baby, because it clearly wasn't her fault. And she wasn't about to blame herself, so that left Luka. She wanted to blame him, really she did. But she couldn't. Part of her wanted to say that he had lied about his vasectomy, but she knew for a fact that he had had it. She had made sure, because she hadn't wanted another baby. She had five darling wonderful children at home, and that had been plenty. The baby shifted and unconsciously her hand moved to her belly. A sigh escaped her lips as she pulled up her t-shirt to reveal her quickly growing belly. Her fingers glazed her tummy and she smiled slightly. She felt bad for her thoughts, because she knew that there was a living being, her living being, inside of her. However, she couldn't keep the fact that she didn't want this to happen to from being true. She really wasn't ready for the late night feedings, the crying, the diaper changing, the potty training, any of it. Not again, and not with five other children at home with all of their problems and needs. It was overwhelming. Now they all sat in the living room, Luka, Abby, and the kids, as Luka and Abby prepared to tell the children that they were having a brother or sister (although Luka was certain that it was a girl). The kids all sat scattered on the large couch. Luke in the right corner with Lily jammed in right next to him, Lana sitting quietly in the centre with her twin brother, Lee sitting at her toes on the floor, and Lexy taking up nearly half the couch as her legs were curled up beside her. "Why are we having a family meeting?" Lily questioned as she turned her body upside down, so that her hair was touching the floor and her blue and pink stripped socks were touching the top of the couch. "Well," Luka began as a huge smile began inching up his face, "You're mom and I have some news." "What kind of news?" Lee asked suspiciously. He looked at each of his siblings to see if they knew anything, but they looked just about as puzzled as he felt. "We are having a baby," Luka exclaimed. Abby smiled weakly as she tried to show some enthusiasm. The last thing she wanted was for them to know that she wasn't happy about this. She never wanted them to use it against their sibling. "A baby? Seriously!?" Lily asked as she flipped herself over, climbed over Luke, and then jumped over to her parents. "I'm going to be a big sister?" "Yes," Abby told her as she pulled Lily into her lap. "You are going to be a big sister." "Cool!" Lily yelled as she jumped up and began twirling around and sang, "I'm gonna be a big sister! I'm gonna be a big sister!" "So," Abby began as she looked over to the other children, "What do you think?" "I think that sounds good," Lana told her mother with a smile. "Yeah, cool," Lee shrugged, which really meant that he didn't care. "Pretty neat," Luke answered. "Horrible!" Lexy sighed. "Another sibling! Don't we have enough!" Lexy crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "I don't want another sibling. The house is crowded enough as it is!" "Well," Luka began, "You really don't get a choice. Your mother is pregnant, so we are having another baby." Lexy huffed and bit her bottom lip, "fine, but it better be a girl!'

Thanks guys, new update!!.... ;DChapter 13 Abby sat at the table in the cafeteria, enjoying her little bit of quiet time. She had only told one person about her pregnancy, and that had been Susan. Just earlier that morning, she just blurted it out, thinking that maybe saying it would make it easier for her to accept it. However, that wasn't the case, because then Susan was already getting wrapped up in the details and filled with excitement about the new baby, that it had just upset Abby even more. Abby had slammed her locker door and rushed out of the locker room, before Susan could begin planning her baby shower. Abby knew that others, if not everyone, knew by now. Because between Susan and Luka everyone would know. But, Abby was making it a point not to tell anyone. So, for now, she was enjoying sipping her decaf coffee and nibbling on a chocolate chip muffin that wasn't nearly as good as something that she herself could make. From the corner of her eye, she saw Neela approaching the table with a tray full of food. Abby looked up and offered Neela a slight nod for a greeting. Neela's eyes looked Abby's frame up and down before speaking. "So, I heard about your...condition," Neela muttered before taking a seat. "Are you like going for the world record or something? What number are you on? 32?" "Haha," Abby said sardonically, "Aren't you just super funny today!" Abby pinched off an edge of her muffin and threw it into Neela's salad. "This is it. I am not planning on anymore children, okay?" "But isn't that what you said after the last one?" Neela rebutted. "And didn't Luka have like a vasectomy or something after whatever that L child's name is." "Lily," Abby murmured. "Yeah, well you gave them all L names, what do you suspect? It's hard to keep track of them." "Yeah, yeah," Abby muttered under her breath, "And yes, Luka had a vasectomy, and yes we are the most fertile creatures on this Earth! We must have some giant karma against us, or we must be some cosmic joke to the world, because no matter what measures we take, I still manage to get pregnant. I swear, I may just have to swear off sex for the rest of my life." Neela scoffed at this remark, and almost replied, when Jake ran up to the table and pulled Abby into his arms. "Congratulations!" He told her as he let go of Abby and took a seat next to Abby. "So, how far along are you?" Abby let out an unrecognizable sound as she huffed and stood from the table. "I am twelve weeks. And yes, haha, even though we didn't plan on anymore...yes we are having another! So whoop dee do!" Abby said loudly as she slammed her hands onto the table for emphasis. Jake's eyes widened at her outburst; he really had been congratulating her, he hadn't expected her to freak out. "I'm outta here," she mumbled as she scowled and walked out of the cafeteria. Neela let out a small laugh and Jake turned to her for an explanation. Neela just shrugged her shoulders. "Hormones."
