I figured it would be a good idea to make a separate thread for the four of us to share our stories - considering that we all met at the theater before the show and went through the whole evening together as a team!!
So here is my story!
I arrived at the theater around 3:15, and went upstairs to the lobby. The first face I saw was Kizzy (Christabel) and then I saw Martine. They introduced me to Kathy who was waiting with them, and Kathy's husband. We all started talking immediately.
They let us into the theater lobby at 3:30, and made us wait until 3:45 before taking our seats (the show was to start at 4). Of course we made our way to the front of the line so that we could choose our seats in the FRONT row (on the left side as Kizzy and Martine suggested). We spoke about how excited we were, and what to expect in the show, etc etc. The girls were very nice and I was really excited to see them in person, considering we talk on here/facebook/youtube just about every day.
Well we got our front seats, and let me just tell you the show was AMAZING! It was not what I was expecting at all!
So after the show, the four of us (plus my mom and Kathy's husband) and another girl waiting for Maura, stayed in the lobby where the stairs and elevators were. We were sure that that was where Maura had to come out, considering there were no other ways to go downstairs. One by one, the entire cast started coming out. Frances came down and I smiled at her, and my mom immediately asked her for an autograph to which she replied "I am so sorry, I retired my autograph years ago. I don't do that anymore." She was really nice, don't get me wrong, but that was so weird that she said that and that she doesn't sign anything or pose for photographs. I told her what an amazing job she did and how big of a fan I was of hers. It didn't bother me that she didn't want to sign, because she is still talented.
So after waiting about a half hour, a man starts walking down the stairs and I look at his face and I am stunned. My first thoughts were "Oh My God, that's Aleksandr Petrovsky." (From Sex and the City). It was no other than Mikhail Baryshnikov, who owns the Baryshnikov theater. I had no idea that he owned the theater, nor did I know that he was in the building. My mom got his autograph and talked to him for a little bit, but I was too focused on waiting for Maura.
After a little while longer, a production assistant came down asking who were were waiting for, and we said "Maura" and she informed us that she already left. We were all disappointed, but we knew it couldn't be true because we did not see her leave, as everyone else did. The "assistant" went up to check and then came down saying "yes, she is gone," and was a little RUDE, but whatever. Of course we still didn't believe her, so we pretended to leave but we really just went downstairs to the main lobby/outside area to continue waiting. (The theater is about 4-5 floors, so the cast is all the way at the top, the stage is on the 3rd floor, and the street is obviously on the first main floor. But they all have to come down a big set of stairs to get out, which we were originally waiting by.)
So we waited outside for a few minutes, praying that she was still there.
WELL THE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT LIED TO US!!!!!
Because after about 10 minutes, I saw the stage door swing open and there was MAURA!!! She walked out wearing a long bright yellow coat with green inside, a big black scarf, and adorable brown boots. Her shaved little head was so cute and it really suits her face. She looked so gorgeous, and her glasses give her that sense of wisdom that we all know she already has. When I saw her, I immediately shouted "Maura!!" and I made my way to her as everyone else followed behind me.
I kept gushing over how wonderful she was and how this play was a kind acting that I have never seen before. She then stated, "Well I have never done anything like this before." I then asked her if she would sign the photo that I had brought which was of her and I from after "Three Changes" and when I pulled it out of my bag, she said "wow that is a great photo of us!" I was in heaven of course. She signed the photo with my new silver sharpie that I bought just for her. Then I asked her if she would take another picture with me, and I was so happy when she said "of course!" (well actually she said "sure" which was one word I heard her say over and over to everyone. But her voice is just so damn cute so she can say whatever she wants!)
Then I thanked her and took a photo with her and my mom. As she proceeded to take pictures with the other girls waiting, I couldn't help but to ask her some burning questions! (while also snapping photos of her talking) One of which was about her return to "Rescue Me" to which she confirmed! I asked "So Maura, will you be returning to 'Rescue Me?'" She said YES and that she would be in episodes at the end of their next season! I was so ecstatic! I kept going on and on to her about how amazing her character Kelly McPhee was, and how raunchy she was and how fiercely she played the character. I liked how she made Kelly edgy and someone we wanted to know more about. She agreed and I was so happy to be talking to her, no matter what was being said! But it is CONFIRMED! She will be returning at some point!!
When she was finished taking photos and signing autographs for everyone, she started said goodbye as she was making her way down 37th street with two male friends (not her boyfriend, might have been from the show or something). I shouted to her "Maura! Keep doing what you do! Everyone loves you! You are amazing!" and she said thank you and smiled at me.
Afterwards, we walked for a little while and rejoiced about our amazing experience. We all said goodbye to each other, and I just have to say how cool it was to meet the three of these women (Kizzy, Martine, and Kathy) because they are so wonderful, and we all share the same passion: MAURA!!!
I am still in heaven that I have met her twice (so far) and both times she was the kindest and most humble actress I have ever seen. I <3 YOU MAURA
Things I noticed/learned about Maura:
-She is a very humble person, and very grateful for her fanbase
-She says "sure" a lot instead of "yes" or "thank you"
-She has very muscular legs! And they are sexyyyy! She wears shorts and/or a skirt throughout the entire performance, so I kept staring at her amazing muscles
-The cast loves her. They spoke highly of her afterwards, and all of them were whispering and laughing with her during the show.

Maura took things to a new level. She sings A LOT in the show. She stands on the left side of the stage a lot, and was there showing off her amazing muscular legs for a long period of time. I could not help but stare. There is a lot of sexual humor and penis/vagina jokes. It was raunchy but very funny. I was laughing at her jokes a lot. Frances McDormand was also hilarious. The part where Maura "speaks French" was hilarious because her accent/words sounded so real and funny at the same time.
