Washington's Post on FINDING AMANDA... [MOVIE] Something is so appealing about Matthew Broderick and Maura Tierney playing husband and wife. Maybe it's their ordinariness or their fluency in drama and comedy. Either way, they deserve each other on screen. Directed by one of the brains behind FX's firemen show "Rescue Me," this film features Broderick as a compulsive gambler who strives to regain his wife's trust by heading to Las Vegas not to gamble, but to save his niece from a life of prostitution. Will he ignore the tables or succumb to old temptations? www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/06/19/AR2008061903122.html

I finally watched it! Lol. I liked the movie, but I thought the ending could have been better.

AWESOME. Thank you for doing that. It will be a while before I get to see the entire movie....and those clips make me want to see more....even if it's not Maura. Gads. Is there ANYONE she can't make look good on film??? I like Matthew Broderick alot but up against her.....his acting looks pretty pathetic.

I just watched the whole thing this weekend (I'd seen the clips of Maura's scenes before) and it was okay, but I especially liked the director going on and on in the commentary about how fabulous Maura is. No wonder he wanted her on Rescue Me - he seems to be as big a fan of hers as we are LOL
