I'm sure that's the promo we'll be seeing for quite a while - they probably threw it together as quickly as Maura started shooting so they could get it on the air. And the case that's on trial in that promo isn't the one from the pilot, so I guess that makes sense.

I know that there have been plenty of people who have already posted great thank you's for all the work you've done, but I had to post my appreciation for everything that has been found and shared over the last fews days -- it's amazing. Thanks you guys.

Great article - and they invented a NEW WORD!! Maura-torium A "moratorium" is a period of delay. That is too funny that they thought to use her name as a replacement for the word. I love it!! www.torontosun.com/entertainment/....4/14919776.html"BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - TV’s Maura-torium is over. A short-haired Maura Tierney says she is healthy after a bout of cancer and ready to take on a full-time role on the new series The Whole Truth, which debuts Sept. 22 on ABC and Citytv. “It’s very quick and I’m glad it’s there,” Tierney said of her new hairstyle. “Quicker to dry. And it’s on my head.” Indeed it is. The health battles of the 45-year-old Tierney - who is best-known to TV audiences for her lengthy roles on ER and NewsRadio - have been well-documented over the past two years. She was scheduled to star in the NBC/Citytv series Parenthood, but when she got sick, production on that series was pushed back. Finally, she had to bow out permanently because of her ongoing treatment and she was replaced by Lauren Graham. Coincidentally, Tierney comes to The Whole Truth - a legal drama from the Jerry Bruckheimer stable - as a replacement herself. She’s stepping in for Joely Richardson, who starred opposite Rob Morrow in the pilot. However, the part originally had been written with Tierney in mind. “My ego’s not involved there at all, but I thought it was a really, really appealing character,” said Tierney, who comes from a family of lawyers. “I wasn’t really thinking about anything, and I wasn’t really thinking about doing another show. But I really responded to the character that Tom (Donaghy, co-executive producer) wrote, I guess, because he wrote it for me.” Even though the part technically was written with Tierney in mind, she wonders about certain characteristics. “I actually think that Tom probably envisioned someone a little classier,” said Tierney, a native of Boston who is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at a Red Sox game at Fenway Park later this month. “I mean, I’m fairly classy. But I think he sort of had her as more ‘WASPy’, with that more reserved personality, and I’m a little bit more ‘Irish Catholicy’. “Tom and I are friends, like actual real friends, not Hollywood friends. We went to college together. So I think whatever I’m bringing is okay. The character is still really smart. So he sort of thought about me, but I think what he had in mind was not exactly me, it was a version of me.” Regardless, Tierney is glad to be back working, although she indicated she has not undergone a massive personality or attitude transformation in the wake of her illness. “I think it’s a blanket statement that my perspective has (changed) - and it probably should change more than it has, quite honestly - but as far as work goes, well, yeah, partially,” Tierney said. “It’s a priority for me now to be able to work with people who I really like and trust. So that will be a factor because I feel like, yeah, it’s too much time involved of your life to not enjoy it. So I guess that’s somewhat adjusted, yeah. “I just tried to maintain my health the whole time, you know what I mean? That’s straight on through. I’m not a vegan now, but I’m trying.” bill.harris@sunmedia.ca"

What a great article!! I've heard most of the quotes, but there were some new ones in there, and she is getting a lot of great press right now! It's like everyone suddenly remembered her, lol. Well, some of us never forgot, but it's cool, whatever gives us more info about her is ok with me! I was mostly excited to hear that she is throwing the opening pitch at Fenway. How cool would it be to go? Too bad I don't live there, lol.

www.tv.com/tca-press-tour-summer-2010-day-6/webnews/127018.htmlThe Whole Truth
Maura Tierney could not have looked or sounded less thrilled to be part of the panel for "The Whole Truth," and it made me very, very sad. She's one of my favorite actresses, but, man, you would've thought that the proceedings were to be followed by the arrival of a firing squad. I'm sure it was predominantly because she was dreading the idea of having to answer a steady stream of questions about her cancer, which – hallelujah! – is now in remission, but even so, she was starting to drag me down with her lack of enthusiasm.
Prior to her diagnosis, Tierney was originally set to take on the role on "Parenthood" that ultimately went to Lauren Graham. In the case of "The Whole Truth," however, the role was originally written for her by series creator Tom Donaghy, given to someone else because they didn't think she was available, but, due to the ever-changing circumstances of Hollywood, ended up back in her lap after all.
"I wasn't really thinking about doing another show," Tierney admitted. "But I really responded to the character that Tom wrote, I guess, because (he) wrote it for me. My ego's not involved there at all. But I thought it was a really, really appealing character, it's funny, and I thought it was interesting to find a character that had such sort of a great sense of humor, yet was so driven."
When asked if her health scare had affected her perspective on the importance her work in any way, Tierney hesitated for a moment at the immensity of the question, then said, "I probably have a new perspective on everything, in general. It's a really wonderful feeling to know that people are caring about something that you do, that I've been doing for 20 years. I think it's a blanket statement that my perspective has, and probably should change more than it has, quite honestly, but as far as work goes, well, yeah, partially. You know, Tom and I are friends, like actual real friends, not Hollywood friends. We went to college together. We've known each other for over 20 years, and it's a priority for me now to be able to work with people who I really like and trust. So that will be a factor because I feel like, yeah, it's too much time involved of your life to not enjoy it. So I guess that's somewhat adjusted."I don't know what I think about this.... Partially, it made me laugh also, coz on some parts I guess he's right, she didn't look very happy ;D Kinda bored haha lol It makes me a bit sad, as if he wanted more 'cancer-questions' for Maura to see her more emotional or so... This isn't something for Maura, I'm pretty sure she didn't sat there if she had the choice. But she has a leading role, it would be weird if she wasn't there. Maura just wants to act, and not all those fuss "all for the show" around it.. eklmnhost.com/blog/stars-talk-fall-2010-tv/The press core was thrilled to see Maura Tierney back on her feet and looking sassy with her new pixie cut. She stars with Rob Morrow in Jerry Bruckheimer’s new law drama The whole Truth.

I have to say, i do agree with the first paragraph. She did look some what bored! Whether that was the case, we don't know, but i can imagine these things, are not that most entertaining of events and we know that Maura doesn't like talking about her personal life. I sometimes think that she is uncomfortable in these situations. Remember the ER Paley event, there are clips from that, where she didn't look exactly thrilled to be there, lol

I'm sure she'd much rather be working than sitting there talking about herself, especially since it had been so long since she'd been in front of the media. Hopefully she'll still go on some talk shows to promote TWT - at least in those situations, she can have more control over what gets asked.

I agree she did look bored, but hey, can you blame her? These things aren't very exciting, it is just a bunch of people asking questions and taking your picture; and yes I get that she should be somewhat happy to be there and have attention on her and her new show, but we have to remember that that isn't her style. She doesn't like media attention on her, she never has. Yes she knows that by being an actress it does require the occasional interview and press conference, but I think she would be so much happier without that aspect of the job.
And also consider this: think about how many times a day WE regular people yawn, roll our eyes, look bored, look tired, etc. The only difference is that we don't have a camera filming the entire thing. I always feel bad for celebrities because in a matter of minutes doing a regular thing, they can have thousands of photos taken of them, making them look like they were doing something different than they actually were. You can blink weird, and the paparazzi will say that you look drunk. It isn't fair sometimes.
Maura can do or say whatever she wants. I could care less. She's awesome, and the show will be awesome. I know she's happy on the inside.
