Ryan has actually taken over The Late Late Show which airs every Friday night. www.rte.ie/tv/latelate/index.html It's a shame because his old show was much funnier. Still, I hope Maura can get on this!

ER star to make stage debut with O'Hanlon -- but don't mention Fr Ted Actors Ardal O'Hanlon and Maura Tierney pictured at a photocall for the Irish premiere of the play 'God of Carnage' yesterday Wednesday January 26 2011 'ER' star Maura Tierney makes her Dublin stage debut at the Gate next month playing the wife of comedian Ardal O'Hanlon. But the Boston-born actress, who was Emmy-nominated for the role of Dr Abby Lockhart in the TV medical drama, is in no danger of mixing up Ardal with his on-screen character Father Dougal because she has never seen an episode of 'Father Ted'. "It might be that I'm too young, Isn't 'Father Ted' about 10 years ago? I was probably eight years of age. No. I haven't seen any episodes but everybody keeps telling me I should," said the 45-year-old. She said the new play, 'God of Carnage' by Yasmina Reza, has plenty of humour. It follows two sets of parents who meet to resolve a conflict that began between their children on a playground. But what is supposed to be a civilised affair quickly turns into a barrage of name calling, tantrums and tears. Tierney, whose grandparents came from Leitrim, was cast after meeting Gate director Michael Colgan while on holiday in Ireland. "Owen Roe and Donna Dent are brilliant as the other couple. Myself and Ardal probably have the least stage experience of the four of us so we're both nervous but having some great laughs in rehearsals," said the TV star who last year successfully battled breast cancer. Directed by Alan Stanford, 'God of Carnage' opens on Tuesday, February 8, with previews from February 3. Maura Tierney’s short, sophisticated hairstyleAt a photocall for the play God of Carnage in Dublin, Ireland, actress Maura Tierney modeled her chic, short hairstyle and elegant suit. After her battle with cancer, Maura Tierney wore a pixie hairstyle for a time and has grown out her hair further to reveal this polished, sophisticated look. Last December, Maura Tierney wore a wispy, short hairstyle to the 2010 Taylor Barton Inaugural Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament in Las Vegas. www.freegossip.info/2011/01/26/maura-tierney%E2%80%99s-short-sophisticated-hairstyle/

She looks absolutely beautiful in that one, thank you. However, I don't like when they style her hair like that. It's too "roundish." I like when she does it herself, and it's parted and more natural. She looked good at the festival and the other things, but when hair and makeup people get to her, they do tooo much!

I absolutely agree with you ^.^ Nothing can spoil Maura's awesomness, but stylists tend to exaggerate, as if being a make-up artist would bind you to use as much make-up as possible... I hate it when they use too much rouge on her... besides... I'm still upset about the 'sophisticated' hairstyle ^^ maybe the character requires that obvious high-class-sophisticated look, but Maura is in fact sophisticated and simple at the same time, high-class and funky ^^ I loved what she did with her hair during the festival interviews ^^ Uhm, I've read some more reviews of the play and will get me the book in the next days... I've a question to those who have seen it ~ Did they really vomit on stage? o.O P.S. To me it looks like Martine has booked the Friday tickets??
